ba7man: Ahh...Thank you ooo. Don't be fooled by my posts though, i'm sometimes tempted to comment based on tribal sentiments or Political affiliation but realize that there's always 2 sides to a book. I'v noticed the South East tend to tilt towards GEJ, PDP/APGA becos he seems to have their interest at heart. ACN has no influence in the South East so they really don't care about them. Meanwhile, in the west, we're still waiting for GEJ to prove his presence by fixing the Lagos-Ibadan and Oshodi-Apapa Express at least. PDP has less influence and presence in the West so we tend to lean towards ACN/APC. Hey, everyone's standing for what they belive in......But GEJ should at least fix the Light situation for us all.No prob broda..we all share same sentiments but sometimes you just have to let optimism rule.. As ƒσя the concerns you raised..about Lagos-Ibadan road the palliative work is still on..but ƒσя the actual reconstruction the design of the road is τ̅☺ be submitted τ̅☺ the works minister today and procurement process is scheduled τ̅☺ start anytime soon.. ƒσя the light situation,if the tempo of d current reforms is sustained I bliv we will get there |
ba7man: That means you're not a fan of PDP but you support GEJ. Do you think he has the steel to sanitize that party?? I seriously doubt that.I have watched ur posts ƒσя some time and noticed that you aя̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ not among the naysayers but is some1 who genuinely wants a positive change I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅ his country..but having seen govt break their promises more often than they even make it..U̶̲̥̅̊ become very cynical cos of this huge trust deficit..but I wanna assure U̶̲̥̅̊ that your worst fears won't be confirmed |
Jonathan seems to be winning this PDP war... Chief Tony Anenih *Pledges to reposition party Chuks Okocha and Muhammad Bello The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has elected a former Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih, to chair its Board of Trustees (BoT), a position which he occupied until 2007 when he was ousted in a palace coup carried out by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his associates. Anenih was elected after a meeting of the board, held at the Presidential Villa, which ended in the wee hours of today. The meeting, the third in the last three months, began at about 8.45 pm and ended at about 12.45am. However, contrary to the previous ones that had been acrimonious, the latest meeting was a sort of coronation for Anenih, a sign that the party had resolved all the contending issues that had stalled previous efforts to replace Obasanjo, who resigned from the position in April 2012. The board was eventually able to elect a chairman in the person of Anenih followed the report of the verification committee, set up during the last botched meeting, and chaired by former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, that streamlined the membership of the board which was over 90. Emerging from the meeting, Anenih told State House correspondent that he was happy to be the chairman of the BoT, which is "the conscience of the party and comprises elders, men of integrity, honour and experience as members." He said with his election, "PDP is on the move again" and cannot be stopped by any merger of political parties. He described the merger of opposition parties to form the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a pack of weak blocks that cannot be used to construct an enduring edifice. "APC is not a threat to PDP. We never had a strong opposition. Let us see how strong APC will be," he said while promising to work tirelessly to resolve the crisis in the PDP. The PDP in a statement after the BoT meeting, described the unanimous election of Anenih as a bold step towards ensuring peace and harmony in the party. In a congratulatory message signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, the PDP expressed confidence that Anenih’s antecedents as a mobiliser and consensus builder over the years will contribute to the stability of the party. “Chief Anenih’s tireless participation and critical role in the formation of the PDP places him in good stead to provide wise counsel and direct the influential Board of Trustees to follow the noble ideals of the founders of the party. His wealth of experience and acclaimed reputation as a democrat and consensus builder are assets that the party needs at this critical point in our democratic evolution,” the PDP said. Valid points raised here...over 1 million people use this forum..but most are afraid to comment just because of the antics of a few who have taken it upon themselves to fight anyone who doesn't share their ideology..and to make matters worse the mods by their actions tend to support this select few..but there is dis sayin 'no matter how far lies have travelled, the truth will still overtake it' |

PapaBrowne: Very strange that CNN's reknowned Amanpour would cut out the positive opinions a play only the negative ones. That is new and way out of professionalism. Billyonaire: GEJ remains the best President Nigeria ever had. In 8yrs time we will clamor and sing his praises. Nigeria's problem is 50 yrs old. I didnt expect magical 3 yrs to right all the ills of the cabals that control our electricity and oil sector. The Nigerian judiciary is the most corrupt industry in the world. GEJ is ready to shutdown their enterprises but most Nigerians are highly uneducated and myopic to see this, because its exactly how the cabal that destroyed our academic sector wanted. Blame not GEJ for super changes take time. But my candid action this year is to commence Green Campaign, I need Importation of Generators to be outrightly banned, and the import tax on solar equipments to be zeroed. The Sun will come to our rescue, say No! to Atiku Abubakar's Mikano, say no to Diesel importers. Say No to Buhari's quest to renew oil well licenses to the North in 2016-2019. Stay with the Fresh Air crew.Pls Oga billionaire, seriously is Atiku d owner of MIKANO ? |
ifihearam: My president na sharp man,he shocked amanpour by telling her tht the stolen crude oil which amounts to 7 billion dollars annually is refined abroad. He needs international support, america especially they know its stolen.I think that revelation made Amanpour stop this interview..Kudos GEJ |
While the effort of GEJ in reviving the depots especially the one in Benin-City is commendable, in the same spirit of accountability and transparency as demanded by insincere9Nigerian, thelostpope, etc, can we know who we're responsible for the dearth of these depots, what happened to the monies allocated to these depots when they were not functioning, and most importantly, HOW MUCH DID THIS GOVERNMENT/NNPC spend to revive the depot! What exactly did they revive in the depot? Has the capacity of the depot been increased? Or did they just re-paint the storage tanks, change the discharging nozzles and re-paint the fencing? The other very potent question that must be answered is this; given that the Benin Depot takes delivery from the Warri Refinery, what is the current state of that refinery, else if th depot is unable to get supplies from Warri Refinery as has been the case in the past, the revived depot would be useless to the people. Again, without any political biase, GEJ's effort if truly transparent is commendable, but this is not the time for praise singing, Nigerians need him to do more and better because His government has been given all the support need to truly bring Nigeria back from the dust and get her steam rolling in high places, that is not happening yet, hence we must continue to put GEJ on His toes and not sing His praises
I whole heartedly agree that what you raised aя̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ genuine questions..but like you said 'constructive' should be the key word I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅ criticism of this administration..not name calling and insults..once again agreed more still needs τ̅☺ be done |
As a concerned Nigeria I want to point out what has caught my attention from the different report from diff media houses... 1stly THISDAY,GUARDIAN,TRIBUNE,DAILY INDEPENDENT and even SAHARA REPORTERS said that not even LAGOS COMMISSIONER of POLICE UMAR TANKO or AIG of ZONE 2 Mamman Tsafe were absent Stating emphatically that only the COMMANDANT OF THE COLLEGE was the HIGHEST RANKING POLICE OFFICER during the visit as even attested τ̅☺ by the pictures ...but THE NATION and PUNCH chose to say otherwise..how did they get their own report??Could both PUNCH and NATION be saying the truth and all other media houses put together be lying?? Secondly SAHARA reported the president to have asked how CHANNELS came to cover his 'surprise' visit asking who gave them permission but PUNCH and NATION said he was asking about how the initial documentary was filmed...so who should we believe I rest my case |

And the NPDC Oredo gas field and plant project finali complete? Meaning there's high hope that d newly almost completd 450MW Ihovor/Benin power plant wud hv sufficient gas supply to fire it later dis yr when it goes on stream. Really GREAT news...Great news indeed..FACTS can never be disputed |
Great transformation indeed..imagine the words Edo state governor used τ̅☺ describe what the president has done ..with time I believe the silent works this man is doing will become more glaring |
The ongoing effort by the GEJ led government to open up the closed depots owned by NNPC so as to make petroleum products available has recorded another success with the opening of the Benin depot. Also at the occasion the petroleum minister said that state owned NPDC has become the largest supplier of gas in the domestic market hence boosting efforts in the gas-to-power initiative. Speaking at the occassion,Edo state governor Adams oshimole commended the federal government for rehabilitating and opening the depot after long years of closure. On his part, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State commended President Jonathan for reactivating the depot, saying without the president’s intervention, it would not have been possible. “We commend the leadership of the president for giving the support and providing the resources and political leadership without which today would not have been a reality,” he noted. The president, according to him, “has demonstrated with the way this facility has been restored that we don’t need to wallow in lamentation and that we can find courage to provide leadership to drive changes that are necessary for us to invent those things that we had before that have disappeared.” See link: www.thisdaylive.com/articles/alison-madueke-npdc-turns-major-domestic-gas-suppliers/136732/ |
