Guk: Whilst your question/demand is perfectly in order, this bolded portion is a mischievous and wont provide the answers you desire.

It is very likely, that in consonance with practice in LASG, they shall not set up an unnecessary committee like SURE-P to manage the money as there are Civil Servants on ground to do that cos thats what they are paid for anyway.

The money, though meagre, will simply be added to income and used to execute already planned projects. You dont need any fanfare to spend 540m in LASG.

In direct answer to your question, Lagos State publishes its quarterly report which itemises how much it earns and how much it spends and its available in the public domain for all to see. A simple search would have helped your query rather than sensationalising on Nairaland. Go here:http://www.lagosstate.gov.ng/subpage.php?k=35 http://www.lagosstate.gov.ng/pagemenus.php?p=57&k=22

Other approaches to obtaining answer to your question are: (1) Attend Fashola's every 100days report rendering meeting, questions are taken there (2)Send Ben Akabueze, Commissioner for Economic Planning & Budget, Lagos State and email or call him, he will respond to you. He also pastors a church, you can visiti him there on a sunday, he will give u an appointment with the officer who will provide you with the answer. In LASG, its as easy as that. ASK the right people and you shall RECEIVE. Ask on Nairaland and you will get abuses
Dis is what I expected..not some rabid dogs diverting attention

Politics › Re: What Percent Performance Will You Give GEJ For 2012? by awodman: 10:43am On Jan 02, 2013
Score Card for Jonathan = 65%

Power Sector: Marginal improvement in power supply, Many IPPs will be coming online this year, Unbundling of PHCN.. However, there is still a lot of work to be done here, Transformers are still being hoarded by PHCN, power supply though improved is still very far from average, PHCN still charges ridiculous fees for services they don't provide.

Railway Sector: For the first time since forever ago, trains have started rolling again in Nigeria. A sector that had been a major drain pipe in the nations finanaces is finally back up and running. Inasmuch as these trains are not fast trains, they are nonetheless trains. A lot of improvement is still needed here. The entire nation needs to be networked by these tracks, Petroluem products should only be transported via our trains.

Aviation: WOW!! Despite the Dana Air misharp, I have to give it up to the president for the works going on in our airports around the country. The PP-partnerships, the outright re-building of PH airport, MMA 2 (new wing), e.t.c.. This is a great stride and I am impressed.. There is a lot of room for improvement, but this is acceptable for now as Rome was not built in a day..

Agriculture: Much improvement here as well. Grants and fertilizers being handed out to farmers at a subsidized rate, foreign investors etc..

Security: No more checkpoints, Boko Haram bombing seems to have drastically reduced and are no more as highly cordinated as before. This part though carries the lowest mark as despite these improvements, kidnappings are still very high and even more brazzen as now even government officials are being kidnapped.

Corruption: Though the rate of corruption has not reduced one bit, a lot of things which nigerians were otherwise ignorant of were brought to the surface in 2012.. The Police pension scam, Subsidy scam, Farouk scam, e.t.c... However, thought these matters were unearthed, nothing seems to have been done about any of these cases..

Electoral reforms this one is clear for everyone to see.. The election of today are way more free'r and fairer than ever before.

To be continued soon.. Make I go on my gen before my UPS too go off..
If oga okija can say dis about GEJ,I need not say more

Politics › Re: Jonathan Asks If Violence A Sign Of ‘end Times’ by awodman: 9:44pm On Jan 01, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I can see the HATERS are feasting on this thread and having a swell time. It is very unfortunate that all the HATERS do these days is jump from pillar to post, hunting for any piece of negative or perceived negative report, and if they find any, they settle there and feast on it.
I agree the president erred by saying such in public but that does not mean the statement is wrong. I am a Christian and I believe that the "end times" will come. An important sign of the "end times" is upsurge in violence world wide. However, the doctrine of "end times" means nothing to non-christians. Perhaps the president got carried away thinking his speech will not get out of the four walls of the church. Perhaps the president has been visiting churches too frequently these days. But who will blame Mr president? Being a christian, he can only take solace in the church considering the unprecedented boko haram onslaught. I think it is very proper for Mr president to seek spiritual help to complement the physical efforts (JTF and co) in crushing boko haram, which is the biggest but man-made challenge confronting Nigeria now. But no one is under any illusion that the ungodly will understand these things.
I can also see some persons trying to build political capital or erect a mansion on this issue. All such intent will be NULL and VOID. Elections are not won on the basis of statements or mis-firing. If elections were won on the basis of speech, then the PDP candidate in the last Ondo election would have won, someone like Buhari would not be able to muster more than 10 votes in any election, and perhaps Shekarau would have won the 2011 elections. The real action is on ground.
In conclusion, I admit the president erred in making such statement in public but to err is human and the president is not some supernatural, all-knowing person that is mistake proof. At times, mistakes are made at the spurr of the moment.
I must also add that no one can say conclusively that Mr president actually said those things(no video confirmation)

Eko Ile: Please don't destroy topic with this illiterate talk, bribe is not lobby. In bribery, money change hands for personal gains while same is not the case on the other hand. Also according to the dictionary, they have different meanings.

In America, they know the difference. Lobbying is not against the law in America and bribery is, this is why they put their officials in jail for bribery and corruption offense unlike in Nigeria. You remember Halliburton. Yes, that Halliburton where Americans prosecuted and locked up the folks involved on their side while Nigeria refused to do the same which is another form of corruption.

Is the common man's attitude that took the bribe money? Is the common man's attitude to blame for not prosecuting the folks involved in the Halliburton bribery scandal in Nigeria or this worthless and useless man himself aka MANY EXCUSE GIVING GEJ?

Politics › Minister Releases Proof To Back Job Provision Claims by awodman(op): 10:11am On Dec 29, 2012
Recently an online publication premium times alleged that the FCT minister of state lied by sayin that the FCT would provide about 10000 jobs for unemployed youths stating that no job was even provided at all.But he in response the FCTA has released a statement detailing how 4000 unemployed youths and women where recruited into FCT workforce

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the FCT Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P) has denied media reports that the FCT Minister of State, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide lied about provision of jobs to 10,000 youths in the territory.

The FCTA in a statement Friday by the Special Adviser (Media) to the Minister of State, Mr. Oluyinka Akintunde described the said publications in the two dailies titled: “Abuja Minister Lied To Nigerians, Promised Fake, Non-Existent Jobs” as malicious and misleading.

Part of the statement read: "FCTA wishes to strongly refute the fabricated reports and unequivocally restate that the engagement of 10,000 unemployed women and youths under the Community Service, Women and Youth Programme of the SURE-P as announced by Akinjide is on track.

"The Minister of State did not lie and had no reason to lie about the engagement of the 10,000 women and youths.

"The FCTA is guaranteeing transparency and equity in the processes of recruitment under the FCT SURE-P programme,” she added
.

It could be recalled that FCTA as part of palliatives dished out under the SURE-P fund promised to provide jobs to about 10,000 youths in the FCT before the end of the year 2012.

FCTA has however said that contrary to the two media reports that no recruitment had occurred under the FCT SURE-P programme, the record showed that the first batch of 1,000 unemployed women and youths were engaged three months ago.

The statement further read: "For the avoidance of doubt, the FCTA following thorough scrutinization recruited 300 people for the Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) while another 300 unemployed women and youths were also engaged for the Abuja Environmental Protection Board.

"The Administration during the period had also employed 200 people each for the Development Control and Parks and Recreation Departments of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC).

"Under the second batch of the FCT SURE-P programme in November 2012, the FCTA engaged and trained 500 unemployed women and youths each for the six Area Councils, bringing the total number of employment under the programme to 4,000."

Folks like you have been deceived for over 30years and are still being deceived by mediocre of a FG. Go back and read that article and tell me where it mentions feeder sub stations!

Get your facts right and be honest with yourself. That it your brother that is the president does not mean we should accept non-performance and feel at home.

A Pastor friend of mine just came back last week from visiting Lagos, Ibadan, Calabar and Jos. He took His UK born children for Holiday and He ran back after one week! I think the problem with most of you is you have not had the opportunity to live in a sane society in your life so you do not understand what it means when we say FG's efforts are nothing but a mere show on paper.

For a government that has been working on power since 2009, by now, 2012, the masses ought to be the ones canvassing the improvement witness by the alleged revamping of the power sector. This road Deziani 'cried' on it in 2007. This is 2013, PDP still dey construct the road with pot holes all over and it is progress according to them. Onitsha Owerri road was started in 2003 till today PDP is still on that road and it is progress, a good 10 years. As I speak to you now the Uli junction part of that road is nothing to write home about and it is progress. The Sagamu-Ore stretch of the Benin-Ore express road is fast fading yet they have not completed the Benin-Ore stretch and they are making progress. Even Abacha made better progress than this junk.
