Please I need advice on how to proceed particularly since it is a privately owned company and started operation in 2014 Dec.

Sorry for the delay. Pls if I may advice, carry all ur documents @bolded then just add IELTS (General training) and move to the express entry thread. You are over qualified to become a Canadian permanent resident.

You won't spend up to a quarter of all these plenty school fees to complete the process. And you'll get to pay domestic student fees as a PR + other benefits. Mind u, na u and ur whole family go be PR

I have reported at the express entry thread grin, with a crs score of 335. A very fast passed thread. I'm still working my way up the thread.

The course you applying for and what you had to say in your SOP were the culprit. Otherwise your stats were more than impressive to secure a TRV based on the stipulated reasons for delay. Care to enlighten the house on what kind of MBA this is and what you said in your SOP? Why cant you study MBA in Nigeria and decided on a long, arduous and expensive journey to Canada? Think like a VO.

Boss, masters in business administration with intention of majoring in finance. I chose MBA as it seems reasonable progression in my career. As to your last question, I don't think I was able to convince the VO as to why I can't study MBA in Nigeria. I will be needing help here

Good evening all,
I need a Critical Evaluation of my case. All, any contribution that will help me repackage is welcome. Please if possible, take it personal. I have ordered GCMS notes though.

I applied for a study permit in July to pursue MBA. I have 9 yrs banking experience, married with 2kids. I submitted the following documents:
-Payslips
-Employment letter
-Promotion letter
-HR reference
-Personal Statement of account with about 12M
-Tuition deposit $20cad
-Pension statement -closing balance - N9.4m
-Spouse SOA
-Spouse sponsorship letter
-Car documents
-Family birth certificates
-Transcript
-Degree certificate
-Waec
-Marriage cert
-Passport stamped pages
-SOP

I was delayed with the following reasons:

After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

A woman cussing people on this forum talking about her husband been illegal in Canada or somewhere or something like that. It's real. You weren't dreaming bros. Lwkmd. This your post is so funny.

As a mother I dont see any reason why you cant leave your kids for study initially. I just belive the V.Os have a particular target of visas to give and so any avenue to deny is used....if she was taking children he would have definetely cited purpose of visit.

The bolded is so true
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by awuf: 11:30am On Nov 11, 2017
justwise:

The wellbeing of your kids comes first and in Canada and other western worlds children wellbeing are a priority.

Your ambition to pursue your education in detriment of your young kids is actually wrong. At this age they need you more than anyone else and no matter how high you attend in terms of education and career if you are not there for those kids at this tender age then those achievements means nothing.

No matter how ambitious you are if you don't factor-in your kids in your planing then you haven't started.

Tell me this..what will happen if you don't travel to Canada now for studies? Will you lose your job? Starve or unable to look after your family?

Wow! Things are changing by the day.
It was also on this thread, part 10 or so, that I saw an infant's refusal. VO wrote PA approved as she seems a genuine student and primary purpose of going to Canada is for study and not babysitting. The baby's application was denied.

I think she was not elaborate enough as to how her children will be taken care of in her absence and concentrated more on why she wasn't going with them. My 2cents though

Hello house, kudos to all the contributors in here
Experts in the house please help review my GCMS notes and advise on the way forward. I couldn't upload it so I will quote verbatim;

"Applicant has not provided compelling reason for study in Canada. Unclear why applicant would incur cost of relocating to canada rather than undertake a similar course in current country of residence, which would also not require her leave her spouse and two young children. PA does not appear to have previously travelled to canada and has very limited other travel. I am not satisfied she is a genuine student who will abide by the terms of the visa and leave at the end of her stay. Application refused."

Seems my strongest point (family ties) is working against me here

Sorry about the delay.
How old are your children?
Did you explain how they will be catered for in your absence?
What's your profile - job, previous education and proposed study?

OK. Did they contact you requesting for the LOA?? With or without it. It's like they are on 'auto repeat'. Purpose of visit is what they are screaming.

Carefully go thru @Austinpee's submission. Paying school fees in full does not address 'purpose of visit'.

Wow! So sorry for the denial. U need to share ur previous profiles alongside d current one. But I noticed the VO pointed out that you started work in this field in 2015. We're ur previous applications for this field too?

Did u order GCMS notes for all the previous applications? VO stated u did not address the concerns raised on ur previous applications. I suggest u order GCMS notes on them and address wateva Des concerns are so that u don't appear desperate in ur next application.

U also stated u are sponsoring urself. Did u clearly state how u raised the money u are using to sponsor urself. What is ur income vis-a-vis ur total savings. & y are you spending this much on a PGC in light of this. Pls I'm not saying your income is small oooo.... I want u to compare and analyse from VO's POV

Asihanmi:

Hi guys, Just got my GCMS notes. Full reasons are as follows: Limited economic and social ties to my home country, Study plan not consistent with past studies,
Did ur SOP address this in detail. What is ur role (job duties) in d financial institution.

sponsored by 3rd party, relationship with 3rd party & history of financial support not well substantiated
. Did you present ur sister's SOA alongside affidavit of support detailing how much she has earmarked for ur study. Also her birth certificate and marriage certificate to show her relationship to you. It is expected that she has her own responsibilities and would not give everything in her account to you for your studies. EG. If her SOA had 10m, she would state dat 7m is for ur tuition. Alternatively, the best is for her to transfer said funds to u.

Therefore no sufficient funds for tuition and upkeep during first year of studies in Canada and not a genuine student that will leave by end of Study.

Pheeww!!!

In my little opinion, I see some mistakes from their end eg. Recall I mentioned that I went on vacation to Canada early in the year for vacation so still have my multiple TR visa. So don't where the limited social and economic ties is coming from. this is totally different from travel history. They just can't see ur ties to this country.

Also, about inconsistent study plans what I applied for Masters of Technology and Entrepreneurship Innovation while my first degree was computer science and I work in a financial institution with 5 years experience! hmmmm. considering your banking experience, Ur SOP needs to address d progression here

So I really can't relate with their take on this.

Furthermore, I stated in my SOP that my elder sister would CO SPONSOR not sole sponsor because I presented my bank account statement and shares documents. My tuition fee is roughly CAD 23,000 while I was being modest and stated CAD 37,000 at hand. (Although all funds in the bank account statements are far more than CAD 37,000 how much was in your statement, how much was in ur sister's

(Perhaps ithia was where I goffed). I provided a court Affividavit to address the relationship between my elder sister and I. court affidavit as a proof of relationship does not seem OK. Birth cert is better proof
May I mentioned that when I traveled I went with my elder sister's son and applied for our visiting visa then together. Infact in my family information page when I applied for TRV and study permit i had always stated my elder sister's details which is a proof and I maintained the consistency. Well as per no sufficient fund for tuition, I paid a token advised by the department that I applied to. Was I supposed to pay all the tuition fee. Guys and gurus in the house please assist me.

My 2cents highlighted above

Sorry about the outcome of your application. Quite unfortunate really. I can only see few things that MAY have raised the officer's doubt about funds 'AVAILABLE'.

Like you already know, an applicant MUST have 'sufficient and AVAILABLE' funds to cover tuition and living expenses for the first year.
I stressed the available because i noticed you mentioned a TA and a 3rd party sponsorship. The yearly stipend you will be having from the school will be under some terms and condition which can be defaulted even before you complete the first semester which may leave you without funds during your first year.

Secondly, 5m in your uncle's account does not mean you have access to it since he is a 3rd party. 700k is the funds you actually have access to.

So with a likelyhood that a TA funding leaves you with a 50:50 chance of AVAILABLE funds, a 3rd party sponsorship and a 700k personal funds, there is so much to raise a reg flag on regarding AVAILABLE funds for tuition and living expenses which is the angle that is considered.

Here is what i propose if you decide to reapply again.

1. Have your uncle transfer atleast your living expenses fund to you.
2. Increase your personal funds to say 1m
3. Provide an affidavit of sponsorship of your uncle.
4. Do not try to explain too much about the funding you have. You can't understand their educational system more than them. They know already, the more you try to explain things, the more their eyes is raised to why you are particular about bringing their attention to it. Remember, they are looking for things under the covers, you will be helping them uncover them if you do.
5. Get your GCMS note.

Regards bro.

The bold comment makes a lot of sense.
Also it's possible they suddenly feel we should not be beneficiaries of their scholarship. International students should pay higher to d benefit of the countries GDP & not come and be educated at tax payers expense.
USA is currently doing something similar with ple who go there to have children.

hello,
how possible is it to get a study permit, sowp and visiting visa if application is done at once? or is there another way to go about it?

My husband got admission for MBA in rotman(Toronto) for 2018 and were planning of leaving together with a child less than 2years.
Your inputs is highly needed... thanks

It's very possible to get all at the same time BUT there's a lot you need to put into that application.
1. U need to show u have available funds for ur tuition and at least 1 yr living expenses (10,000 CAD)
2. U need to provide additional funds for each family member joining u.
3. U need to demonstrate u will return to Nigeria (or leave Canada) at d end of ur study by providing home ties. Home ties could be job, property, family... But immediate family is considered very strong

Generally, what I gathered from part 9, mainly those going for doctorate get dis combo & I suspect it is cos doctorate degree takes over 3yrs & understandable, it's a long time to be separated from ones family.

Rotman's MBA is very expensive. It is advisable ur hubby applies alone. U & baby can serve as hometies. As principal applicant, he has a lot to put together in order to present a strong profile.
1. Show access to unencumbered funds in SOA for 6 months
2. Demonstrate how d MBA is a Career progression
3. Prepare documents to show assets that will bring you back home (not only family)

Senatorkolade:
G. What can an applicant do if his application is stuck at BGC?

If an application is stuck at BGC for a very long time, i.e. more than 3-5 months after your eligibility is cleared you have two options:

a) You can inquire about the status of your security check directly from CSIS. To enquire about the status of a an immigration screening file, the following information is required*:

a. a full name,
b. date and place of birth,
c. the signature of the applicant, and
d. a return mailing address as replies are not sent by email or fax.
e. If you are enquiring on behalf of another person, the request must be accompanied by the Consent Form to Disclose Information to a Designated Individual.
f. Mail or fax the request to CSIS at the attention of:
Assistant Director, Operations
Canadian Security Intelligence Service
P.O. Box 9732, Station T
Ottawa, ON
K1G 4G4
Fax: 613-369-2954
It takes CSIS 8 weeks to process these requests. Information on this is available at https://www.csis.gc.ca/scrtscrnng/index-en.php#bm02 Some applicants have successfully obtained information from CSIS.

b) If CSIS has finished the security screening, then your file is pending final review with IRCC. There is nothing much you can do at this stage. However, there is anecdotal evident that ordering GCMS notes does initiate the process. This is because every time you order GCMS notes, an agent will review the notes before releasing them. If the file has been reviewed by the Agent, and is pending posting the update on the system, the same will be done by the agent when he is reviewing the notes and this will move your file ahead.

Nice piece! Please post A-F

While we are sending PMs and discussing in private, let us still try to drop our profiles and related inquiry regarding our visa on this thread. This is to keep the thread lively and very rich in new trends of denials and approvals.

We just saw some interesting GCMS Notes talking about online presence etc. We need to come back to the thread and keep it going.

My Bosses, please encourage private enquiriers to do so on this thread. Remind them that they get broader perspectives from here. This will also give you a little time to help review our sops as we will continue to bombard you with them.

Some gurus have started school and are too busy, but there are many more that have been groomed and are available to answer while we wait for the bosses input at their spare time.

Bottom Line: Keep it going. Keep it alive.
