Can you first list out the part of the South East that share boarders with the sea?

The problem with shallow people like you is that you don't make research, so you will keep on displaying your ignorance for the world to see.

It will be so hard for this country to move forward with lots of shallow people like this OP on this country.

Mr Know-it-all, the Port Harcourt sea port is over 55 kilometers removed from the sea, built on Bonny River. Warri Port is over 60 km removed from the sea, built on Warri River. So is Calabar port on a river.

The Port of New Orleans, USA is over 700 kilometers from the gulf of Mexico. The 4th biggest sea port in the USA

So, if there is the will by the federal government of Nigeria to site a port for sea-going vessels at Baro in Niger state, which is about 570 km from the sea, she can easily do it.

Then, let alone SE whose nearest distance to the sea is 25 nautical miles from Abia state and 50 nautical miles from Ogwuikpele in Anambra.

It will be difficult for Nigeria to progress if people refuses to acknowledge facts that may not favour their preconceived notions. It doesn't have to physically border a sea to have a port that can receive ocean-going vessels. What matters is a river with sea route.

Timothy Odutola was a great man, a fierce and courageous entrepreneur who established the first and only Yoruba owned industry in Igboland; ODUTOLA TYRE RETREADING INDUSTRY on the banks of River Niger, close to the Onitsha Port. His industry flourished until the civil war erupted.

Great stories of this man from my dad.

Nigeria beats my imagination. A country where a known and internationally indicted criminal is regarded as a political heavyweight and a morally known figure capable of presiding over the nation is regarded by those who thinks they're sane as light weight.

Most of you do not know the mind-set of the remaining military commanders that fought the Nigerian civil war. These men namely Ibrahim Babangida and Obasanjo are just in the twilight of their lives and are uncomfortable with the fragility of today's Nigeria. They don't want to go to their graves leaving the country in a collapsing condition. A country each of them suffered bullet wounds in order to keep it united.

These ex commanders knows quite well that a president from the South East and a resourceful person for that matter, would finally unite the country and entrench their legacies when they're no longer here with us. Hence these concerted efforts.

In situations like these, it's better to seek external organ donors..Even if it's a paid donation.

Now both husband and wife are sitting time bombs.. Idris with his donated kidney that his antibodies can one day decide that the new kidney is a foreign body and has to be destroyed, among other possible health risks..

To his wife who now has one kidney whose functionality and power to adequately carry her body functions only time will tell..

They still have young kids.. And now both of them are on a tight health rope sad..

Not a very wise decision in my opinion.

Don't mislead the public, please. The doctors must have ascertained that the wife did not have Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), which would have put her at a risk.

One functional kidney is OK to attain a full life span. The organ, kidney, is very resilient that a 30% well managed kidney function can sustain one for the rest of his life.

This coming election, for the first time in Nigeria, is one that has divided family members. Nigerian electorate are becoming wiser and audacious. Nigerians themselves will vote their minds in this election.

Practicing politicians would have less influence on the choice of individual voters, especially in the South and the North Central.

Look, SOME Igbo people can be very disgusting. I wonder how a people so blessed can be so naive and politically stupid.

Tell me why any reasonable Igbo person, at this fragile period, would raise an agent-provocateur such as the Ikwerre/Igbo question? You wish that Nigerians vote for your candidates and yet you think it's an auspicious period to taunt a section of the electorate.

I have known the Kutis. This one is very much unlike them. This is prove that age has nothing to do with wisdom and maturity. Like a 60 year old son of Fela could understand and interprete the movement to free Nigeria as Zoombies? Even Seun Kuti barely 30years won't talk this this agbaya

Oh, you can't compare Seun to Femi. Artistically and natural intelligence, Seun stands tall and above Femi. In several TV interviews, Femi had consistently shown he lacked depth. So I am not surprised to read his current ephemeral thinking of the issues at hand.

The apparent momentum of Obi across Nigeria
outweighs the millions of dollars Tinubu paid to these gluttonous enemies of a good Nigeria. I trust the great people of Enugu state. They know what is at stake, and which is the redemption of Nigeria and a post war real reintegration of the Igbo into the main stream Nigerian body politic.

Nonsense. That's the very idioot much was expected from when he came back from the US and became the governor. He instead formed a mafia family and looted Enugu dry. Of which the vestiges of his corrupt and terror regime are much visible in Enugu today. It's obvious he has not moved on, but Nigerians of all tribes have ignited the move to extricate themselves of heartless politicians like Nnamani.

This is hopeful. The Nigerian electorate have actually transcended the fault lines that have kept them politically undeveloped. They're now sending the message that a Tiv, Kalabari or Idoma person who can preside over Nigeria, can be given the full supoort, regardless.

Ibo states are shutting out other Ibos from other states and you are ranting about competitiveness. Where in Nigeria is more competitive than Lagos/Ogun states?
Lagos cannot be our commonwealth if Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi are exclusively for Ibos.

Anyway, it will remain the commonwealth which it has been. It is very unfortunate neither you nor Tinubu of yesterday will change it. The demography of LAGOS has been increasingly changing over the past 100 years. Poor soul. Good night

Lagos is no more Nigerian commonwealth than Anambra or Enugu. You can't shut others out of you region and dishonestly claim Lagos as some commonwealth. How?
Recently we saw videos of cows being shot when their owners were no where to be seen. Isn't Iboland their country as well?

Load of rubbish! Haven't we seen cows being killed by Yorubas in Yoruba land. Odutola tyres established the biggest tyre retreading company in Eastern Nigeria at Onitsha Bridge head before the civil war started. He sourced for land and got one. Enough of all these rubbish. No one is shutting you out. The East is highly competitive. It is no one's fault If you cannot compete there. So stop the cheap blackmail.

I don't know when Nigerians will rise above the stupidity of insinuating that a fellow citizen is a "guest" in a part of his own country where he lives, pays his taxes and and exercises his universal suffrage as regards to voting. While the other citizen is the "host"? What a load rubbish!

Yet the same Nigerians would flood the UK, US etc., and demand citizenship and be given. Then they buy houses, demand mayoral seats of the cities. And equally access to social security and all given to them. Then in their stinking homeland Nigeria, they deny each other lucres of citizenship. What a set of monsters are these creatures?

Is there anyone stopping the other from acquiring properties in any part of Nigeria? NO.

Lagos has always been the Nigerian commonwealth and so it shall remain FOREVER. The 1911 census captured a significant population of Igbo, Hausa and other tribes in LAGOS.

Notable Igbo family like the Ojukwus, Hausas like the Dantatas, Bayeros and Ribadus. The Legema family of Benin and the Edewors of Warri had all established their presence in Lagos and drove their Rolls Royces on the streets of the city. Nearly 100 years ago.

Yes, Lagos is in Yoruba land, no doubt. That said, it is an insult to call any Nigerian a guest or "migrant" as Tinubu did in 2003 which caused an uproar. Every one should thread carefully on the issue of Lagos. The city evokes emotions on every Nigerian. The election results therein will always reflect its history. Tinubu is a new comer to Lagos history and people must know this fact.

Politics / Re: INEC Voters Completed Registration Update (Photos) by AyakaDunukofia: 2:05am On Aug 02, 2022
This election will be something Nigeria has never witnessed. The enthusiasm is very high for the obvious reason, namely the entrance of Obi into this race.

Apart from Lagos state, the 5 South Western states and the 5 South Eastern States had equal amount of "completed registration" of 1.4 million each. I have never seen this level of willingness on the part of native Easterners resident in the east, west, north and south. Some redefinition is in the offing.

Politics / Re: Labour Party Rejected In Peter Obi Local Government Area by AyakaDunukofia: 12:16am On Jul 31, 2022
If the news is true, the situation has nothing to do with the great personality of Peter Obi. The local people simply did not want some characters who did not discharge their duties to their constituencies in the past, to ride on the back of the Peter Obi momentum to re-impose themselves on them. Fair enough.

Each an everyone of them has to account for his past stewardship.

It is low budget GEJ.

Nigerians have seen this film before; in 2015 they moved from this same place to the one in Lekki to many others, preaching hate, bigotry and speaking like gods, yet God who rules in the affairs of men and choose those in leadership authorities , rejected their choice so they lost . God is not mocked and He will prove Himself once again that they are not from him.

Nothing built on falsehood, hate and bigotry will stand. They lost in 2015 & 2019, they will still lose against Asiwaju Tinubu's APC in 2023 then they will go into hibernation to resurface in 2030, rinse and repeat. All na wash and showmanship, they do not have the numbers wink

What falsehood is bigger than the one Tinubu personified?
