He'll have no hard feelings, because deep inside his heart, he'll say 'Well, I Sha tried to help my people, but most of them decided that darkness was better than light. I tried o. I gave my so-called structure - 100m poor Nigerians - all that I had, but they judged me by my tribe - a tribe that did nobody any wrong but only asked for a chance to lead. Look, I Sha tried o". But you see the bigots thinking they're teaching him a lesson by voting for their own and their children's dream killers
Well, teeth-gnashing and lamentations will be their day job, because those ones will have absolutely nothing to go back to after the elections are done. Heck! They are barely surviving as we speak grin
Poor, stupid Nigerians without a shred of sense!

Awon oniyeye.

Well said bruv.
I was having my breakfast this morning on board the Royal Carribean International cruise vessel, "Anthem Of The Seas". Watching the beautiful blue waters of the Island of the Bahamas from my table, I was overwhelmed with guiltiness. Who wouldn't, with the very severe economic situation back home? These thoughts had engulfed me right from our departure at Port Bayonne, New Jersey.

It's just very difficult to fathom how a people could be at a receiving end this long and still are contemplating whether to do the right thing. I thought hunger knows no tribe. But it's the other way in Nigeria.

Politics / Re: I Picked Who Can Deliver Over Wike – Atiku by AyakaDunukofia: 1:31pm On Jul 22, 2022
Atiku is indirectly saying that Wike's denial of being Igbo relegated him to another level of a minority within the minority. Atiku needs every one vote from across the Geopolitical zones.

Wike no doubt is an Ikwerre man just as Ifeanyi Okowa is an Ika. But the two groups belongs to the ethnic Igbo language cluster. So the Hausa Fulani and the rest of Nigeria were taken aback when Wike attempted to lecture Nigerians that his names Ezebunwo Wike were not rooted in Igbo language. It caused an outrage. Thus, Atiku took another proud SouthSouth Igbo 'who can deliver'. in an election every single vote will matter so much.

Vice president of Nigeria for 8 eight years is enough a qualification to do a masters degree in IR. Infact top universities around the world would be very delighted to have Atiku as an alumni.

The answer is simple. Siddiq sat for the GCE in 1965 and Atiku "bought" the certificate from him.

As for his "degree" from East Anglia Ruskin University, it has a reputation as a "diploma mill" meaning an institution that sells degrees to the highest bidder. There was a scandal in the nation of Guyana were a politician called Irfan Ali used a fake degree from the University of East Anglia Ruskin to get political office.

"East Anglia Ruskins University" may be fake.

But, please, be informed that ANGLIA RUSKINS UNIVERSITY AT CAMBRIDGE is a well respected public university in the UK established in the 1800s. It has campuses in Chelmsford and London as well. Equally listed by the UK government.

What a shame on the SOUTH EAST. Inspite of the nation-wide excitement Nigerians are showing toward Peter Obi, South East is still trailing other states. Neighbouring Delta state is soaring with over half million, equally is Bayelsa, Edo etc..

Onitsha alone should have registered over half a million by now!

I will advice my people to talkless on the social media and get down to business. Ndigbo, elections are won on mass participation and not through name calling on the social media. Get down to business, please.

This is what I don't understand about about Deltans. When it comes to them pulling weight under their igbnoness for a good cause they align to the left and deny they are Igbo. But when it comes to politics and votes, they remember they are Igbo and align on the right. Very confusing set of people.

This is a blanket statement, not all of them deny being Igbo. Their very most eminent citizens do not deny being Igbo unlike Rivers state. I will start with the civil war. Delta Igbo were more Igbo and were even more Biafran than the Eastern Igbo.

The bulk of the very elite Biafran officers were DELTA IGBO.

The first Biafran Naval Chief of staff was Rear Admiral Anukwu, a native of Agbor. Anukwu fought gallantly till the very end.

We had Colonel Emmmanuel Nzefili and Colonel Conrad Nwawo who was the GOC 11 division Nnewi. We had Colonel Achuzia who planned and executed the greatest military ambush in African history in which a federal military convoy of more than 100 heavy duty military vehicles were destroyed at Abagana.

We had Colonel Okwechime from Onitsha Ugbo. We had Chukwuma Nzeogwu who died gallantly at Nnsuka sector. We had Colonel Phillip Trimnell from Aboh. The list goes on.

Regardless of a few dissenting voices, Delta Igbo are historically dependable allies and proud Igbos.

Ifeanyi Okowa is one of them. He has this traditional title of Ekwueme given by his kinsmen of Owa. The Peter Obi factor is a major problem of which he must fashion out a strategy to grab some votes

Your story is very well confirmed in the Nri Kingdom website. Owa was amongst the numerous Anioma communities listed by the current Nri monarchy as one of it's direct descendants in the Ika cluster.

Okowa is an Ika name meaning,a male child of Owa or a male child born in Owa.Owa is one of the clans in Ika land....Ask any elderly Ika person,if you think I'm lying.

Emefiene or Emefiele means "don't misbehave" in Ika language....
How do these meanings differ from the mother Igbo language?

Ibrahim Alhassan wrote:

Peter Obi is a good man, one of the best presidential materials. But the hard truth is, no South Easterner can win a presidential election in Nigeria without the support of Northern Nigeria. This is not a curse, it is a statistical fact. If the majority of the good Igbos out there and Peter Obi's campaign team wants him to win the election, lets them do the following, it is not going to be a rocket science:

1. Translate All Peter Obi's speeches into the north's two major indigenous languages; Hausa and Fulfulde .

2. Buy Radio airtime in major Radio stations in the North where Peter's translated speeches, interviews and his campaign menifestos will be played on a daily or weekly basis.

3. BBC Hausa and VOA Hausa are very vital. Get in touch with them to be granting regular interviews with powerful influential northerners to be appointed as Peter Obi's campaign Directors in the north. Engage other International radio stations such as Radio Deutch Welle (DW) and Radio Beijing with considerable number of Hausa and Fulfulde listenership.

4. Identify and engage popular Northern Nigeria Social Media influencers and bloggers like Northern Hibiscus, Hausa-Fulani, Kano Online, etc.

5. Create physical presence through liason offices in key Northern cities. These offices should be functional and be effectively engaging grassroot political formations from wards, to LGAs and states levels to propagate the message of a new Nigeria through Peter Obi.

6. A powerful Northern Nigerian Vice President should be selected from Kano, Kaduna or Katsina - the super 3 Ks in terms of number of eligible voters.

7. Create a Shadow Cabinet with Shadow Ministers..
A Shadow cabinet doesn't have executive power since they are only executive members of government in waiting. Distribute key Shadow Ministries to the 3 Ks. This will create a deep effect in the political conversation in the North. The Shadow Ministers will operate just like normal Ministers, they should be given official cars and their job will include to criticize the original Ministers in the current administration - offering a better alternative to the unsolved problems of the current cabinet. Shadow cabinets are powerful opposition tools. This alone could place Labour Party as the main opposition party displacing PDP which is almost on its way to the grave.

8. The North is Nigeria's most politically conscious region. We don't vote money, we vote interest. Protect Northern interest in Nigeria while ensuring a balance in the South.

9. Supporters of Peter Obi MUST TRY as much as possible to avoid getting into Social Media wars and confrontations with Northern Nigerians. Stop the subs.... Northerners are your partner in constructing the new Nigeria. I've always maintained that the North is not in enmity with the South. Some evil politicians created a fake division. Peter Obi must expose that division and seek to be a unifier. Supporters of Peter Obi must have at least 10 or more influential Northerners who are partners in the rescue Nigeria project.

10. Avoid religious misunderstandings. Respect each other's religious opinions. Religion should never be part of politics. It was some evil politicians that brings in religion into Nigeria politics for their personal selfish interests.

11. Protect northerners and their businesses in the south and vice versa. Extend friendly hands to make the south, especially SE a safe haven for northerners.

As a Northerner who believed in justice, equity and fairness, and who is well informed about the good intentions of Mr Peter Obi, I'm convinced that when given the opportunity and with the right and selfless people in his government, we will see the birth of the new Nigeria we are all dreaming of. Let's give South East this opportunity, I will volunteer to be part of Peter Obi's team in the north.

Peter Obi is smart, focused and one of the best presidential candidates. But would his campaign team and kinsmen agrees to and implement the above quick wins campaign strategies I outlined? Let's gets this message across many platforms until Peter Obi and his campaign team come across it!!!!.

Well said. All you listed out are highly reasonable points which I believe Obi is not unaware of.
