Politics / Re: Deadlock Over Governor Wike As Atiku Searches For Running Mate by AyakaDunukofia: 6:29pm On Jun 09, 2022
A WORD FOR ATIKU: The stage is now complicated. If you want a Southern minority, don't go for Wike. Go for someone from the South South, and from equally a rich state. He must have a favourable outlook in the South East. And with good personal character. Ifeanyi Okowa or Emma Udom fits it. Wike's rating in the neighbouring SE is minus zero. You need every vote.

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Should Forget About Presidency, You Can Never Win - IPOB by AyakaDunukofia: 7:04pm On Jun 08, 2022
Mazisimonekpa:
The Biafra people can’t exchange our freedom over presidential ambition of Peter Obi. Peter Obi should go & rest, keep whatever he have to offer & wait for Biafra. If he think we are joking, when the time come, we will know what Biafra people actually want. No election is a task

https://twitter.com/simon_ekpa/status/1534420795988103168

Look at the idioot, Ekpa, who says he's got a law degree and yet could not write a correct sentence. I don't know why my people are listening to him. IPOB is hurting my people and their livelihood especially in my Anambra state.

This is not the Biafra which the founding fathers; Generals Ojukwu, Effiong; Colonels Nwawo, Achuzia; Rear Admiral Anukwu, Justice Louis Mbanefo, Frank Opigo, Prof. Eni Njoku, Dr Ibiam, Chris Okigbo, the Ogbunigwe scientists Felix Oragwu and Prof. Godian Ezekwe etc. envisioned.

IPOB must retreat and reappraise their message and methods. In the same vein, should create the peace of mind for Ndigbo to exercise their universal suffrage in an entity they're politically being extinct.

Politics / Re: Tinubu And Osinbajo: The True Story Of How They Met - Bayo Onanuga by AyakaDunukofia: 7:05pm On Jun 06, 2022
delpee:
The question is ...Will Bayo Oriola have performed as well as Yemi Oshinbajo in those trying times we had in Lagos?

I choose to believe that God made his appointment possible for a purpose which was achieved. Much of the development we see in place in the Judicial system in Lagos is due to his efforts. That was indeed the best choice for BAT and Lagos at that point in time.

Do I support his decision to contest against BAT? The truth is that we don't have an indepth knowledge of how and why he chose to do so. Sometimes, only a complete story viewed from all angles throws sufficient light into an occurrence. We can debate only on what we know.

A good critical analysis and reasonable conclusion...

Can you share any evidence that this vehicle was supplied by Innoson? I have just gone through the repertoire of military vehicles supplied directly by Innoson or produced jointly with DICON, and I couldn't find any vehicle like this one therein.

However, I must say that no vehicle or airplane is technically and 100 percent fault proof. Space rockets explode mid air just as the latest Boeing aircrafts are constantly recalled because of technical faults that cost lives. Enough of this Innoson this Innoson that.
Politics / Re: Amaechi Vs Tinubu by AyakaDunukofia: 2:44pm On Feb 06, 2022
Amaechi as the transportation minister already has a lot of projects in the North, I mean projects that are in the bowels of Northern interests. So it is inconceivable the Northern establishment would risk a shift in the momentum or actualisation of these aterial projects.

He appears to be the one. Afterall, he has Rotimi as one of his names.

Education / Re: Should I Acquire My First Degree From National Open University? by AyakaDunukofia: 10:35pm On Jan 31, 2022
MoneyMusthear:
Good day everyone.

This is a quick one; are there any disadvantages of getting a first degree from NOUN? Please, avoid speaking out of prejudice.

I have resolved to acquire some digital skills and intern afterwards in the said field, and this plan may not permit me to go to a conventional university. The only possible option is to run a degree in NOUN and work/intern concurrently.

What is your honest advice?
Mods, kindly move to frontpage. Thank you.

It is only in Nigeria whose highest institutions' certificates are not recognised in the West, that the credibility of a degree from an Open University can be debated. Graduates of Open Universities in the West are highly sought after by employers chiefly because of their dedication and motivation in acquiring their degrees Especially in a very difficult mode of study. These are graduates that are easily given opportunities for post graduate studies in some of the best Universities in Europe.

Enugu airport will be the biggest loser. Anambra people are already redirecting their flights to the Anambra airport. And the coming on board of Ebonyi airport will finally sound a death knell on the Enugu airport though Ebonyi airport will struggle too due to poverty in Ebonyi state. I see Ethiopian Airways relocating their international flights from Enugu to Anambra soon.

True, but ndi Anambra should endeavour to balance their patronage so that Enugu airport would not die. It is in our interest to keep the Enugu airport very functional given the political importance of the city to Igbos world wide. Just as the Yoruba would always want a functional Ibadan.

Enugu bu kwa nkeanyi!

Seriously? 17 flyovers are the most important needs of Ebonyians and the governor has fulfilled that. Wow....17 flyovers!

Mumu.
Supreme Court naim get people?

U think say people Na land wey dey take to court without first visiting the place and asking where d people really be.
How many times Benin take Ijaws of Edo to court over that Gelegelegbene town, and claim say them win.
But as we speak Ijaw naim dey Gelegelegbene and own it as their property, and live there.

Court dey work for land no be people way dey live there.

Why were those that took the Jajas to court not satisfied that they own their properties and live in Opobo?

Dingbats like you would never decipher the import of the court ruling. Ikot Abasi (Opobo) remains the family Estate of the Jajas. The Supreme Court has ruled. The history is well documented globally. It is not an issue of we vs them. Nuff said.

Opobo is owned by Nkoro and Obolo Ijaws.

At Year ending,at times, Opobo people give drinks to Nkoro ijaw people till today.

I am not here for childish back and forth. I just reminded us about the Supreme Court position on Opobo which is final. Absolute.
Politics / Re: No More Igbo Language In Opobo Again by AyakaDunukofia: 12:25pm On Dec 03, 2021
In 2003 the Nigerian Supreme Court held that Opobo is the personal property of King Jaja and his descendants. It was in the aftermath of a long battle with Ijaw elders who argued that the kingdom was the heritage of all Ijaw. And that any any Opoboan can aspire to rule the kingdom. It was a litigation that lasted for about 30 YEARS.

The Jaja foundation was quickly established King Dandeson Jaja, and Anyim Pius Anyim appointed the chairman.

The implication of all these is that the Jajas only can determine how they want to position their estate Opobo. The Jajas have a very strong affinity with their blood kindred at Amaigbo. They also relate quite well with Opobo subjects. It is just them that will decide.
