Deeicash: Hello Ayobase, how are you?
I kinda missed you! Hope you don't feel like you're hot sit anymore?
How was your weekend? Getting ideas here...
Ok back to your question... Justify fornication??
I'm a christian too but to justify what is clearly wrong from our world's standards today...
$3X was created by God for our enjoyment and He put restrictions...true.
But it has an appetite that has to be fed, an apepetite that never goes away.
Provided you're moral about stealing the act which is fornication, it is acceptable by world's standard. It seems to be ok if you love that person you're "doing" with.
You have one partner and stick with that one till wedding bells or break up...
Bottom line, once you've tasted of the sweet nectar, its hard to stay off, our body requires it.
Ever heard..."Why does it feel so good if its bad" or some BS like that??
Well, thats the best i can come up with for justifying a wrong...
How about you?
Well, justifying what ''could'' be socially right doesn't mean its spritually right.....and not that Im not involved,but......
Missed u also....I had a great weekend....urs?
Hot sit?....No more!

Kobojunkie: Disproved? Are you having comprehension problems? I asked you if the President lied to the Nation yesterday when he declare the truth which is that he has not declared his asset and does not want to go against his principles? sad sad sad

Letter from CCB? Of course CCB is not bound by FOI but by the Constitution. The Constitution requires that the CCB give the information to every Nigerian Citizen, not FOI. And I already posted it up there for you to read.

If the President declared yesterday that he did not believe in Asset Declaration, and even said he did not grudgingly in 2007, are you saying the President lied on June 24th 2012 when you suggest that he has in fact declared his asset?
Can u sourcely tell me the worth of other Presidents...especially Obama!

texazzpete: Believe it or not, we expect the President to multi-task even during this Boko Haram menace. Money has been allocated to all sectors in the last budget passed. I do not expect GEJ to use Boko Haram as an excuse for underperformance and failure to keep his pre-election campaign. Nobody will castigate the President for declaring his asset now and you know this. Why spread FUD?

We want to know what our leaders and public servants go in with...so we can benchmark when they come out and have a rough idea how much they've enriched themselves with our state funds.

For example a few years ago Tompolo was a millitant leader with no visible legal source of income. Now he's able to make payments of $150 million to secure a ludicrously cheap Waterways security contract. How did that happen?
Only in Nigeria.
I once stated.
Im against GEJ not declaring his assets.
If he is not, let the proper office handle his case....its a criminal offence so break the law!
Pls, read me comprehensively...left for me, I dont give a damn if he declares or not....let peace reign in Nigeria!

So what do you mean by the constitution will be amended to make the INFO public if it is already explicitly stated?? Or am i reading ARABIChuh
Well, contrary to FoI's Act, the CCB maintained that journalist or other members of the public may not have access to DETAILS of assets declared by public office holders on the grounds that the document still CONTAINS PERSONAL INFO.
And d CCB infact needs JUDICIAL INTERPRETATION to declare.
Infact, some public office holders declared their assets with CCB declined to make it available to the public based on the fact that the Act did not mandate them to make their declaration public.
Its Voluntary to make it PUBLIC PUBLIC!
Since CCB has it, they can probe and sue on our behalf if there is any ambiguity.
Not that I wont be happy to know what they all worth though!
Obama, wey don dey halla, what does he worth?
In a nutshell, its totally against the law and worthy of being reprimanded if GEJ will not declare his assets TO CCB!

I cant answer that on his behalf.

Politics › Re: GEJ Media Chat- Summary In Print. by ayobase(m): 6:52am On Jun 25, 2012
Kobojunkie: For the umpteenth time. Declaration of assets has never been CLOSED. It has always been OPEN. Obasanjo and Yar adua did not have to send their documents to the newspapers. All they had to do was declare it with CCB, and newspapers queried the CCB for the information. That is how it has always been since 1999.

Those who watched the Chat heard what he said to the Nation. It is even been run a couple of times on ChannelsTV. It is one of the headlines of the day even. lol.

If you don't understand why the law is that way or what laws mean to YOUR well-being and that of your children and family, ask!
Lets CCB do her job....they should sue him if he is not ready to declare his assets.
So, declaring of assets is what we are crazy about at this point when we have other issues to tackle promptly!
SMH....no wonder the man talked out of as read from u guys!
If I can interpret ''are u okay?...u r talking about declaring of assets when we have pressing matters at hand....u gat to kidding me aight....common don't be ridiculous''!

I know u are watching so please kindly make clear the ambiguity between an "OPEN" declaration and a "declaration"...only in Naija!!!! smoke screen alert!!!
As far as the Constitution is concerned, there is yet to be ''PUBLIC'' declaration of assets, unless if the Constitution will be ammended in a second.
Yes, declaration means to speak out, but in this case not to Nigerians, but CCB.
If u are interested to know d worth of ur president, then visit CCB.
U can cry foul-play when you are denied.
For now, the document remains CLASSIFIED!
I wonder what will happen if such document is here on NL....enough wagging of tongues and lashing of fingers!
The president is not ready for open declaration of assets could be interpreted in many ways, but that above is the point.
He didnt say he is not ready to make it available to the CCB for ur scrutinity if interested in what he is worth.
Abi, u want him to call on BET's crew and start ''PUBLICLY'' declaring his assets like Mr Bling Bling!

engineerd: Well, though its hard for me to say, she actually has a point. I originally was attacking from a different point of view of "OPEN" declaration, because i didn't think it was required by law!! If we are to go by the books, which we should, GEJ has no excuse!!! I yes i missed the declaration part of his speech....I just feel this adds no value to Nigeria's complex problem at the moment...its a case of putting the cart before the horse...But rules are rules!!
We can go ahead and critisize him if he said he is not interested in declaration of assets, and not what we have concluded, ''open''!

Kobojunkie: http://www.nigeria-law.org/ConstitutionOfTheFederalRepublicOfNigeria.htm#CodeOfConductBureau

This is what the law says in Paragraph 3. The information from the declarations will be made PUBLIC! That is what Jonathan is afraid of and hence why he refuses to declare his asset more than a year into the term.
Imagine the way u r digging ur grave!
Its obvious u have been blinded by sentiment.
So, ''public officers'' don make the procedure an ''open declaration of assets''....what a shame!
Do you even know what ''open declaration of assets'' entails?
Whats ur definition of public officers in the first place?
U r so into GEJ!

engineerd: DO YOU KNOW ENGLISH IS NOT OUR FIRST LANGUAGEhuh? THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED MIS-SPEAKING!!!!! NO PRESIDENT IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD INTENTIONALLY DECLARE HIS INTENT TO VIOLATE A "LAW OF THE LAND". I CAN CRITICIZE GEJ FROM MORNING TILL NIGHT BUT ONE THING I FIND VERY IMPRESSIVE ABOUT THIS PRESIDENT IS HIS TRANSPARENCY.....SECOND TO NONE.....THAT'S THE ONLY REASON NIGERIAN'S HAVE THE LIBERTY TO EVEN BE ABLE TO CRITICIZE HIM!!!!!!

Declaration of assets or OPEN declaration of assets?
So, u want turn ur president to Master-P?
The law should go to hell?
