chukwudi44: It is already obvious that Danladi Umar of the CCT is biased so I am not expecting any sensible judgement from him,he can as well deliver his Tinubu written judgment tomorrow for all I care.Unfortunateley for him and his paymasters, this case would still be adjudicated up to the supreme court before it is rested.
The main thrust of my argument which I am sure the supreme court will interpret very well is section 3(d) of the CCT act which was not complied by the CCB before rushing to the kangaroo tribunal
the sction stipulates;
Section 3(d) of the CCB Act states that: “The functions of the Bureau shall be ….to receive complaints about non-compliance with or breach of this Act and where the Bureau considers it necessary to do so, refer such complaints to the Code of Conduct Tribunal established by Section 20 of this Act in accordance with Section 20 to 25 of this Act.
“Provided that where the person concerned makes a written admission of such breach or non-compliance, no reference to the Tribunal shall be necessary.”
The CCB was supposed to get back to Saraki and reconfirm the declarations stated in his form. This was the same premise upon which Tinubu was freed.Danladi umar obviously acting out a script by his paymasters have already overruled himself on the Tinubu Judgement. But how these portion of the act is interpreted by the supreme court is what will finally decide the case this matter had been settled, let your leader defend himself on the accusations leved against him. |

I think it is right time the federal Governmen keep check on the administration of the state governors. For many years ,the governor had been doing the way they like and it seem nobody care to think about them. All our focus was on Mr President we think the presidency is in position to transform nigeria ,we have forgotten that the federal Government can only do his part what about the part of Governors. Federal gouernment can not tie our street, they can not provide drincable water for us, they can not provide first aid security for us Etc. Take for instance, many people put the blame of insurgency on federal Goverment but what was the punishment of state governor in which this insurgence grew under his watch. Alimodu Serif is in the country moving without anybody pointing accuse finger to him except Fani Kayode who said this man is not worthy of PDP chairman. Where is our integrity in this nation? Alimodu Serif surpose to be in prison by now for not capable to perform his duity as governor when he was governor of Borno State, he betrayed the trust of people that put him in post, he paid them with terror and death included his own blood brother and put the blame on Formal President Jonathan and peaple were shouting to Oga Jonah Bringbackourgirl instead of shouting to him to bringbackourgirl. Jonathan should have used him as a scape goat for other governorn.
I can categorically say that i was very disapointed in President Muhamadu Buhari on the side he puts on the issue of workers unpaid salaries. Many people think that the increase in dollar was what worsen our economic but i can tell you if workers were paid in time, Economy wouldnt have been worsen as it is now.
Help me ask those wicked people called Governors that, what project is more important than the life of nigerian? I want to know, that project. Was It not from these salaries that these people would feed themselve and their family paid their house rent, paid children school fees, boarded cabs to their various offices ,paid for medical, plan for their living . Was It not form these salaries that money would be circulated to the artisan and market women. Why are we shouting dollar dollar instead of bringing these governors to book.
The reason i said i am disapointed in PMB was that, i tought PMB was a kind of person that does not tolerate nonsence.
Nigerian deserved to know why these Governors can not paid their workers or staffs salaries. Some say they took mortgage to eexcute project.
We deserved to know that project they took mortgage for and the cost of it that made them to starved the nigerians
instead of PMB to bring them to justice, they are the one that duped Mr President and made him a fool by asking him for bailout for their workers. What did they do with bailout given to them . Nigerians deserve to know.
If Mr President leave those governors that owed their state worker salaries unqueries becouse they belong to his party, then what change his he talking about
To stop the wickedness of Governors in this country , the federal Government should monitor the state to see if they use their allocation justifiable .They should make them give records of their achivement in every sigle year of their tenure in office and allow EFCC to carry investigation on it if what they said they did is correct. |

Health › Re: Ola Orekunrin, The Youngest Doctor In England At Age 21 by Ayomivic(m): 4:37pm On Mar 27, 2016 |
afrifuturestarz: Ola Orekunrin, now 30 years from Ilawe-Ekiti in Ekiti State of Nigeria, was born, raised and trained in the UK, where she graduated as one of the youngest medical doctors in England . She is also a trainee helicopter pilot.
While she was studying to become a doctor in the UK, her younger sister fell seriously ill while traveling in Nigeria. The 12-year-old girl, who’d gone to the West African country on holiday with relatives, needed urgent care, but the nearest hospital couldn’t deal with her condition.
Orekunrin and her family immediately began looking for an air ambulance service to rapidly transport the girl, a sickle cell anemia sufferer, to a more suitable healthcare facility. They searched all across West Africa but were stunned to find out there were none in the whole region.
“The nearest one at the time was in South Africa,” remembers Orekunrin. “They had a 12-hour activation time so by the time they were ready to activate, my sister was dead". “It was really a devastating time for me and I started thinking about whether I should be in England talking about healthcare in Africa, or I should be in Africa dealing with healthcare and trying to do something about it.”
Orekunrin did the latter. Motivated by the tragic death of her sister, the young doctor decided to leave behind a high-flying job in the UK to take to the Nigerian skies and address the vital issue of urgent healthcare in Africa’s most populous country.
Determined to make a difference in medical practice and health care delivery system in Nigeria, Orekunrin decided to set up Lagos-based Flying Doctors Nigeria, the first air ambulance service in West Africa, transporting victims of medical emergencies, including industrial workers from the country’s booming oil and gas sector. It basically provides critical care transportation solutions to both the private and public sector by selling yearly air ambulance cover plans to states, companies and individuals.
Since then, she has successfully steered the company upwards in achieving its corporate goals and ensuring sustained growth.“Against all odds, I passed my A-Levels with flying colors, started my degree at the University of York at 15. I supported myself all through, working. I wrote my final medical examinations at 21, thus emerging the youngest medical doctor in England,” said Ola Orekunrin.

Politics › Re: Saraki’s Trial Splits APC; Senior Member Blasts Party Leaders For ‘keeping Quiet by Ayomivic(m): 9:20am On Mar 26, 2016 |
PhockPhockMan: The deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank, has described the continued trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, as “worrisome”, saying there were flaws in the processes leading to the arraignment. Mr. Frank said in a statement on Friday that it was dangerous that the leadership of the APC “chose to sit on the fence and watch Mr. Saraki swim or sink in his trial”. “I sincerely hold that the current trial of Saraki is not only underserved, but amounts to paying a good man with evil. I also want to say that the leaders of our great party have unfortunately remained quiet in the face of evil. “I don’t believe we have forgotten that the victory of the APC during the last general elections could not have been possible without courageous strategists like Saraki who lent their political weight in favour of the APC at the risk of their own lives and personal survival,” Mr. Frank said. “I don’t think we have forgotten how Saraki as a Senator in the 7th Senate brought the attention of Nigerians to the fraud perpetrated by the the last administration in the name of fuel subsidy. “I don’t think we have forgotten so soon how Saraki led five other governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC – a development that successfully turned the political tide against the PDP and eventually tipped the electoral scale against them during the 2015 general elections. “I don’t think we have forgotten how Saraki led scores of Senators to cross over to the APC on the floor of the Senate. “I don’t think we have also forgotten what he gave of his time, personal resources and energy to ensure that the APC emerged victorious both at the National, State and Local Government level,” he said. Mr. Saraki is facing a 13-count charge of alleged false declaration of assets. On Thursday, the Code of Conduct Tribunal rejected Mr. Saraki’s argument that the case against him was flawed, and ordered the trial to continue. Mr. Frank wondered how the case of Mr. Saraki was being treated differently at the CCT, which in 2011 struck out the case against one of the national leaders of the party “because he was not given the opportunity to deny or admit the alleged discrepancies in his asset declaration forms in line with Section 3(d) of the CCB/CCT Act unlike 11 other ex-governors who had similar cases of irregularities whose cases were dropped by the CCB after they were invited by the agency”. “For the avoidance of doubt, Section 3(d) of the CCB/CCT Act which has been so undermined by the CCT in its Thursday ruling states that the CCB shall: ‘Receive complaints about non-compliance with or breach of this Act and where the Bureau (not the AGF or EFCC) considers it necessary to do so, refer such complaints to the Code of Conduct Tribunal established by Section 20 of this Act in accordance with the provisions of Sections 20 to 25 of this Act: provided that where the concerned makes a written admission of such breach or non-compliance, no reference to the Tribunal shall be necessary'”.
Mr. Frank said it was pertinent to mention that when the particular section of the Act was pleaded in the defence of one of the leaders of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria in 2011, the same chairman of the tribunal, Justice Danlandi Umar struck out the case for lack of jurisdiction to entertain the suit when he ruled that “…On Section 3(d), I feel compelled by the argument of the learned SAN for the accused. It is a condition precedent for referring a charge to this Tribunal that the Accused ought to have been invited to either deny or admit the allegations against him. This is missing in this case as the Complainant has no such evidence of a prior invitation. It would be proper for me at this stage to simply decline further exercise of jurisdiction having held that the co diction precedent to the instituting of charges against the Accused has not been complied with. I hereby resolve this issue in favour of the Accused…” He added: “It is based on the above precedent that I want to ask why Saraki’s case is different? Why is the judiciary suddenly giving in to apparent blackmail from a section of the media by refusing to do their job as required by law? “Already the Senate President has told the world that the trial has nothing to do with corruption but that he is being persecuted for emerging as the Senate President. To me the ominous silence of our leaders since the day he was arraigned uphill now serves to validate the claims of the Senate President that he is being persecuted. “Or where else in the world will the number three citizen of a country be hurled before a tribunal over alleged irregularities in his asset declaration forms 13 years ago, and the hierarchy of the ruling to which he is a bonafide member will not come out to show solidarity or defend him? “If it is true that the trial of the Senate President is not borne out of genuine desire yo fight corruption but is being carried out for selfish political ends, then who is next? “I think the party need to be courageous enough to speak out against this unwholesome trend whose outcome will definitely not augur well for the overall development of our party and by extension the country at this hour. “Even the holy scriptures admonish us not to muzzle the (ox) that thresh the corn. Saraki has paid his dues at a time it was suicidal for anybody to stand up against to the then ruling PDP. I believe it is time for all of us to act to save our party. It is time to rally round our generals who have fought valiantly and led us to victory. To abandon Saraki is to abandon a worthy comrade,” he said.

adeaks: Nope. He submitted it himself but the CCB should have first invited him to clarify any issues they found in the forms he submitted before going to court. If he says he has a house in London, then invite him and ask him how he got the property. If you are not satisfied with his explanation, then charge him to court.
KANU Agabi's submission is that just charging him to court without allowing him to explain whatever they felt was wrong in his declaration form, robs the court of the necessary jurisdiction to hear the case. indirectly Bukola accepts that he waas guity of the charges put against him . 2 can we say that Bukola used the weakness in that constitution or law that say "after declaration of asset the CCB must invite the person to comfirme if his asset declaration correct" to perfect his fraudness because he knows he can not be perscuted without invite him for correction 3 if Bukola is free at CCT because he was not invited to confirm his asset by CCB and Because Tinubu was free when committed thesame offence due to the reason that he was not invited as stipulated by law too. Can we say it is normal to make false asset declaration as a text for CCB if they discover and invited me i will amend but if they are not discover it and did not call me its my luck and infuture if they take me to court my lawyer will used Tinubu and Bukola as case study to free him as Bukola was doing now 4 person can mistakely omit one or two of his properties in asset declaration form but that does not mean he can not defend himself if he was invited to explained if the omited properties is belong to him. What can we say of the properties he has not acquire that he filled in the form? Was that a mistake too? |

Trut: A pro-Democracy Non-governmental organisation, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, has dismissed Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka’s “prophesy” of an assassination attempt on President Muhammadu Buhari by corrupt politicians.
HURIWA described it as sensational and rumour peddling.
The group said the prophesy therefore should be seen for what it truly is: delusional fantasy.
Mbaka, the Head of the Adoration Ministries, based in Enugu, Enugu State, had in his New Year message said some corrupt politicians were after Buhari.
Against the backdrop of the prophesy, HURIWA asked the Nigerian Catholic hierarchy to sanction Mbaka for abandoning his sacred vocation and deviating into the profane and mundane roadside career of high wire politics hiding under the canopy of his Catholic’s Priestly vocation.
The Rights group said it has resolved to drag Mbaka to Pope Francis if within 21 days the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria fails to reprimand him and stop him from associating actively and notoriously with politicians at both national and regional levels.
HURIWA accused the Catholic priest of engaging in cheap and childish rumour mongering and sophistry.
It said said the Catholic Church’s leadership must call him to order because he has become a political loose canon who can’t separate sermons from partisan politics.
HURIWA said Mbaka’s prophesy lacks scientific and empirical evidence and smacks of sensationalism and therefore qualifies as an unmitigated emotional fallacy and a misdirected outburst, which should be disregarded.
In a statement signed jointly by the National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, and the National Media Affairs Director, Zainab Yusuf, HURIWA said Mbaka should cover his face in shame for displaying gross ignorance of the workings of the democratic and law based tenets and provisions of the constitution, which deems suspects brought before the court of competent jurisdiction as totally innocent in the eye of the law until contrary determination is made by the Court in line with due process of the law.
The statement said: “Fr Mbaka is putting his priestly calling and office to the pecuniary services of the All Progressives Congress of President Buhari because it is barely two weeks he was photographed smiling with his Political host in the Presidential mansion President Muhammadu Buhari that he emerged from his delusional hibernation to manufacture cock-and -bull story about some plots to assassinate Mr President by corrupt politicians.”
Dismissing the prophesy as delusional and empty, the Rights group added: “Is Fr Mbaka a judge who has passed presiding over cases of alleged graft involving any immediate past political office holder and adjudged them guilty of corrupt practices? Is Fr Mbaka unaware that as the Commander-In-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces that President Muhammadu Buhari is the most protected citizen in Nigeria now with hundreds of well armed and highly trained professional guards drawn from the Nigerian Military and the Secret Police headed by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Kinsman? Is Fr Mbaka unaware that Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari is waging a counter terror war and that the armed Islamists have vowed in several media recordings to kill not just the Commander in chief but officials of government? This MBAKA’S whitewash must be consigned to the dustbins without further delay.”

Business › Re: Strategies To Optimize Tax Compliance For Business Owners by Ayomivic(m): 2:59pm On Nov 20, 2015 |
Consultville: The Nigerian self-assessment system requires that:- The taxpayer accurately calculate his tax liability, pay the tax due at designated bank to collect e-ticket and file self-assessment return on or before the statutory(due) date for filing such tax return; Tax returns are accepted, by the tax authority, as filed, subject to on-the-spot simple checks to ensure that tax return forms are correctly completed.
STRATEGIES TO OPTIMIZE TAX COMPLIANCE: • Registration with the appropriate tax authority in the system immediately after CAC registration both with Federal Inland Revenue Service and the state Inland Revenue Service. • Seek due date and requisite taxation information from the authorities • Incorporate good bookkeeping records most beginners start with Excel for their bookkeeping. • Seek/Consult Tax Consultants for beginners you can choose them just to guide you. • Attend Tax Management Trainings/conferences/seminars
Remember a Tax Clearance Certificate is needed in lots of transactions, bidding for contracts, etc what has the goverment done for this people to help them or what are they enjoy from government that would make them pay tax? They should first do something to confused us that the tax we are going to pay is not to enrich themself as they use to do. If they want us to pay tax they should first show us the reason for paying tax. They should provide stable electricity, drinkable water, street light, free education, free health care, good road, provide job for the youth etc they should do these first then we would trust them for our tax and if they can't do these they should leave us out of that because we did not benefit from them. ( Orisha bo le gbe mi semi bo se ba mi) neaning the deity, if you can not help me leave me the way you met me |
Business › Re: Small Generator Ban: Does Buhari Hate Small Businesses? by Ayomivic(m): 6:52am On Nov 19, 2015 |
YouthsPC0: Following the decision of the Federal government Under the leadership General Muhammadu Buhari to restrict foreign exchange many entrepreneurs and small business have continued to see their profits plunge while others have simply suspended or closed business altogether. To further aggravate the woes of these small business and families across Nigeria the Buhari administration has placed a blanket ban on the sale and importation of small generators otherwise know as "I PASS MY NEIGHBOUR"
http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/fg-bans-importation-of-%E2%80%98i-pass-my-neighbour%E2%80%99-generators
This source of power has been the live wire of many business such as restaurants, Saloon/ barbing shops, Small offices , student hostels, corner shops and millions of families across Africa's most populous nation owing to the inability of the government to provide constant power supply to its over 170 million population.
Before riding to power the ruling All progressive congress had promised to generate 5000 MW of electricity yearly which translates into 20,000 MW in 4 years however, six months into their first year In office the power situation appears to be getting worse, compounded by the scarcity of petrol used to fire up this alternative source of power.
http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/02/02/well-generate-20000mw-of-electricity-in-4-years-says-buhari/
The question many Nigerians are asking is why will their government choose to ban the only source of power to millions of small businesses and families when it appears clueless as to how to provide the stable electricity it promised before the elections.
The clear lack of policy direction by current government and a great affinity for taking decisions before thinking has ensured that the last six months was littered with policy reversals, somersault and sea of conflicting information from
Except our brothers from Aba come to our rescue by producing these generators locally these policy might signal the beginning of the end for many entrepreneurs and small businesses there were some businesses that were created due to the bad adminisrator of government. We shouldnt have known Gen if electricity was stable and believe me Electricity can not stable if government does not ban the importation of Gens because those that are imported it and those that are selling it would never let Electricity to stable. I know nigeria is so corrupt to that extent. Its good to ban importation of Gen for now while we are stil patronize the one in the market in market for maintime the Electricity would stable |

sonOfLucifer: What lesson is this story supposed to impress upon young minds?
Judges 19 While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, “Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him.”
23 The owner of the house went outside and said to them, “No, my friends, don’t be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don’t do this outrageous thing. 24 Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But as for this man, don’t do such an outrageous thing.”
25 But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. 26 At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight.
27 When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold. 28 He said to her, “Get up; let’s go.” But there was no answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home.
29 When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine, limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel.
there are alot of leason to be learnt in the story for young mind. You did not read that story to learn but to find fault that was the reason you did get message correct the leason learnt in the story are 1 there is no leader in Isreal at that time, no king ,no body to persecute them for sin comitted, so people does not have someone to fear and the tend to work on their own way committing adultery and fornication even when they knew God is against it. These happen when there is religion Let say their is not religion and no leader to make people follow Gods law how do you think this world will look like? 2 the man thaught there was God fearing in Isreal cities that was the reason he did not stop to rest in Jebusite city which he called strange country unknow to him his country too is as worst as others countries 3 it wasn't the man that took life from his wife but those children of balial. The man cuts the woman parts and send it to each tribes of Israel as message (Aroko) to me the man was in sorrowful heart and he was like how can this evil be in Israel the country that belong to God, when he sent the woman's parts to them. They said "what kind of evil is this, this has never happend since Israel have being in existed" and that prompt them to call on the man to explaine why he sent such message to them.Knowing what happened to the man's wife. The elders stood for judgement and asked the tribe of benjamine to produce those children of balial to deal with them according to law of God. If he did not do what he did that atrocity would countinue in Israel. 4 the tribe of Benjamine refused to produce the criminers and that lead to war that almost wip out the tribe of Benjamine among the twelve tribe of Israel what i can see about the op is that, he did not see the wickedness of the sons of Belial but he want to know the leason learn from the man that divide his already dead woman. That shows that truely op is son of Lucifer. One thing i want You people to know is that God or religion did not tell the man to cut his wife,so i dont see why people put the blame on God or religion but what the man did wake the elders to combat the evil that was going on in their communities and what happened to the tribe of Benjamine was a leason for any tribe that does not caustion their children of such behavious for those that said the world would be a better place without God. I dont even know why you think in that way but i am without God, the attitudes of sons of Belial is very small in how wicked the people of world would be thanks to God and to religion without religion or God country like Nigeria can never exsist at all because if our culture is to eat stranger how would stranger tell us it not proper? It was religion that brought the people of diffrent cultures together. The christian in Yoruba, Igbo ,Hausa, Spanish etc have the same belief and that was what save us from enslave each tribe. |
