This is not an attempt to disapprove the existence of God as that is not what this write up is about but to bring to light the various ways in which most christians kid themselves there by turning out be somewhat hypocritical. Those who are familiar with christianity know for sure that the God we believe did promise something spectacular which is to do whatsoever we ask in prayer according to his will. If you believe what you read in the bible, then things like healing, raising the dead, making the disabled whole, just to mention a few, are not supposed to be rare in the church even financial success( the eye catcher). But that's not the case.

We christians know that all these do not happen before our very eyes, we don't see any dead person being raised to life, we don't see amputees being restored and it is not uncommon to hear and SEE prayers being unanswered. Despite this, we christians still believe that God can still do all these things we have never seen him do before our eyes. What is now confusing is that the same christians who believe all this, tend to "come to terms with reality" we things get tough. Eg. A faith healer who claims to heal can be seen going to hospital. What is worse is when this faith healer is not confronted to face the fact that he is a faith healer and should lead by example. We just push that aside.

Still on the faith healer, we christians will see him going to hospital but instead of us to smell a rat, we will start rendering prayers of "may the Lord heal you pastor", "get well soon ijn" . When such a faith healer gets well, the same sheeples (christians) still flood his healing crusade---- looking for what if I may ask? Some pastors will dish out prophecies that failed woefully yet the sheeples will defend him despite the fact that bible says that any prophet that prophecies wrongly is not of God. If I may ask, is that not hypocritical. It is not bad to be a Christian but it is sad when you are not intellectually honest and abandon your thinking faculty.

There is something that makes me laugh, that is seeing a Christian taking the appropriate medicine for an illness and praying on it that God should work through it and heal that same illness in Jesus' name Why pray when you have taken the medicine? Or was the medicine meant to grow beans in your anus? When confronted, such christians will say rubbish to support their actions. Some christians who go to hospital will say that doctors, medicine and surgeries of all kinds are God's miracles already. Okay, what about amputees, those smitten with hiv and terminal illness? We see them die like chickens eventually and I ask, where is God's miracle? The highest thing I have seen religion offer is hope. Hope does no good at times and can't be substituted for certainty.

Many christians will be saying that faith moves mountain but you see them shaking when there is a life threatening situation. What shall we say on how they love to exaggerate things for the workings of God? A baby falls from a tall building and is unhurt, people say God did it but if the baby had died, they say shit happens and may his soul rest in peace . When a church collapsed in Uyo, sheeples on nairaland said of those that died that may they rest in the bosom of the Lord but of those that survived, the same people said God saved them and they should thank God .

I could go on and on about how we like to kid ourselves and how hypocritical christians are but I leave that for your contributions.I even opened a topic asking christians on nairaland to list an irrefutable miracle that God has done for them but they avoided the topic unlike the atheist. Shame. I admit that it is no crime to believe in God but it is sad to be intellectually dishonest.

3 faith and Righteous: who are you to call on God, does God know you? Do you have ssomething that entice him to listen to your command? . God must know you to be obedient son before you can say I can raise the death because people believe that God does not listen to sinner. And without Faith you can't performe miracles

4 God knows more than man; some time what we say is wrong may be perfect in the sight of God and what we say is perfect may be wrong in the sight of God, the bible says " the righteous is take away before evil day" who knows if the evil days is coming all we human can see is that he die and we don't want him to depart but God that see into the future knows what is right .

5Christians are not worshiping God because of miracle. We Christians do not serve God for miracles .we know that this place is a training ground ,we are just passing through here to our abode .

6 the God eyes watch over his children: if calamities befell Christians . the first thing to do is self examination. Ask yourself what have I done wrong ? Have I sin? If your mind clean then what you are facing is temptation. Some temptation are temporary some are everlasting .Jesus's temptation was temporary, Job's temptation was temporary but hard .hope you don't forgot the time God gave Abraham son ( Isaac) Paul said he has thorn in his flesh and he had prayed over it but God said his grace is sufficient for him .That of Paul is live time temptation but it does not take faith away from him.

7 God do answer prayer. If you know him ,trust him, obey him. You will see wonder you we performs wander God is working like the olding days it we that does not serve God like the holding days.

Morality is hinged on actions not belief, it is hinged on compassion, sympathy and consideration not belief in Jesus, not an undying piety in allah. If you need the assumption of an extra-terrestrial authority in order to be moral then it can be rightly said that you are not in fact moral.

So the things you believe in no way makes you a better person or a more moral person than the average atheist out there, neither does it make you anymore compassionate - belief is just what it is, belief. Morality is an action.

I on my own part can argue that you are basically operating under a selfish platform to derive a moral compass and selfishness we can agree is not so a moral virtue.

You are only good because of God, you are only good because you want the post-humours reward the God promises or a fearful need to evade the punishment afterwards - this is selfishness.

You are not Good because you find it worthy, you are not good to others because you genuinely care - you just need a reward or need to evade a punishment from a vengeful angry God that you fear might exist.

i think the strongest and the best type of people are people who regardless of no side gains attached genuinely care and exhibit good behaviors towards others and the society at large.

The Book of psalm 14:1 says the foolish say in his heart their is no God they are corrupt. they do abominable deeds . there is none who does good.

1 Sleep: every human being do sleep . can anyone tell me who invented sleep? this sleep come to human being when it is time no matter whom you are and you wake up when it is time .sleeping can be related to death and restoration. if unknown thing can make us sleep and wake up when it is time, then that thing can kill and raise you when it is time .sleep is telling us there is God.

Brains: that your brain ,the brain that makes you feel superb, that make you a logic reasoning, free thinker is made by who? you growth up to discover it . You did not buy it none invent it, its sign of God existence. in fact the invention's master made all the internal and external parts of your body. just pick notice one and you will see that God exists. ask yourself ,why my fingers and toes are five each hands and legs and not ten or twenty each hands and legs? why my teeth are different in shapes ? these questions will open your sight and make you to see.

Death: why must we all die? why can't we leave forever on earth ?why can't we have seen someone who can invent something to prevent death? why can't rich men in their riches buy death? Death is sign of God existence.

This is a 2017 list of the most corrupt States in Nigeria. Corruption, as well all know, is endemic to Nigeria. The current Nigerian President has expressed his devotion towards the fight against corruption in the country. However, corruption is so endemic that it may take years, decades even, for it to be eradicated from the psyches of Nigerians. As it stands now, the average Nigerian always looks for ways to cut corners, make things faster, get special consideration, etc, and these amount to various corrupt practices. Let's not even talk of massive looting of public funds, nepotism, bribery, and other massive forms of corruption that occurs at the governmental levels. In this list, I present the most corrupt States in Nigeria with a view to exposing them for all to see so that the people in the States, as well as their leaders, can assess themselves and rebuild their States for the better. In making this list, I considered the various strands of corruption and their density per State, based on available data from the internet and other sources. I am not eulogising the act of corruption but condemning it through an expose of corrupt States, as a shame to the leaders. It is also to be noted that no Nigerian State or the Federal Government, for that matter, is totally free of corrupt practices. The Federal Civil Service has some of Nigeria's most corrupt individuals. However, the States presented below are so corrupt that they dwarf the combined corrupt practices of other Nigerian States, put together.

1. Delta State

This should come as no surprise to keen observers. Delta State is officially the most corrupt Nigerian State. Since the return of democracy in 1999, this State has been plagued by corrupt leaders who have amassed wealth for themselves at the expense of the masses. In fact, corruption is so ingrained in the psyche of Deltans that corrupt leaders that build one or two roads and bridges are seen as heroes!!! In Delta State, corruption occurs at all levels. In governance, corruption manifests through the awards of phantom contracts, inflation of prices of contracts, amassment of public wealth for personal use, diversion of public funds, electoral malpractice, and so much more. The State Civil Service is very corrupt and civil servants are known to collect bribes for little things as vehicle license registration, among others. In terms of Education, corruption is rife as obvious in the high amount of "miracle centres" in the State where monies are collected from students to enable them to pass their examinations. This trend extends to the State University at Abraka. In fact, the average Deltan sees corruption as nothing. Internet fraud is high in cities such as Warri, Asaba, Ughelli, Sapele, Abraka, and other towns across the State. "Yahoo-Yahoo" or "Gee" as it is called, it socially acceptable in this State. The average Waffarian wants to defraud you (yes, it's true! I am one)! For over 25 years of the state, there has been no true development whatsoever and the irony is that this is an Oil Producing State and one of the richest in Nigeria! Even employment is done on the basis of nepotism and bribery! Delta State is floating in a sea of corruption and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has not shone its light there for a long time.

2. Rivers State

This state has always ranked high in corruption in Nigeria. Since the outset of the Fourth Republic in 1999, Rivers State has been transformed into a haven of corruption. Corruption exists in various forms and across all levels of governance. The most corrupt public office holders in this state are the House of Assembly members, Local Government Chairmen, Councillors and Civil Servants, including Permanent Secretaries. Corruption manifests in the award of phantom contracts, inflation of prices of contracts, misuse of funds for constituency projects, amassment of public wealth, fraud, bribery, electoral malpractice, Godfatherism, and much more. Often taunted as the Rivers of Blood, violence is rife in this State and violence occurs because the leaders are not willing to let go of the perks of power. This is also one of the richest States in Nigeria, as well as an Oil Producing State. However, funds meant for the development of communities, towns, and cities, are diverted to personal use. From corrupt schools and idle youths to corrupt governmental agencies and workers, Rivers State doesn't show a lack of corruption.

3. Bayelsa State

Bayelsa State is also one of the Oil Producing States in Nigeria where corruption has become endemic. Bayelsa is a small state of only 8 Local Government Areas. However, there are no signs of development and human capital development despite the large amount of money that this State receives every month. The State capital is in a ramshackle state, the riverine areas are an eyesore. With constant gas flares and other forms of environmental pollution, fishing and farming are almost impossible for the people and the government virtually does nothing to ameliorate the plight of the people. Corruption in this State is endemic to the government but still manifests in other sectors. Secondary schools extort students of thousands in the name of "miracle centres". Local Government Chairmen, Councillors, and House of Assembly Members, only care for their pockets and nothing else. Contract awards are hijacked, monies are eaten, jobs are undone, public wealth amassed, etc. This is a State that has all it takes to become the Dubai of Nigeria if only corruption can be eradicated.

4. Kwara State

This is a State in Nigeria's predominantly conservative North, specifically North Central region. For a very long time now, this State has been under the control of a powerful cabal whose leader acts as a Godfather to all politicians in the State and therefore, is the de facto leader of the State. The Godfatherism may not have been too much of a problem if other indices of corruption are not accompanied with it. In Kwara State, development is at a standstill due to massive looting of public funds and the inability of the government to do anything without permission from the State's ultimate leader. Religion plays a huge role in this State's corruption as one cannot aspire far in politics without being in a particular religion. Religion comes to play in employment, appointment and other perks of government. Monies meant for contracts and other infrastructural developments are amassed and put to personal use as well as for political patronage. House of Assembly members, Local Government Chairmen, Councillors, and other leaders, are virtually pawns and do nothing other than what they are told to do. Corruption in this State has eaten so deep that there are no roads, good schools, bridges, infrastructure, and other indices of development. The gap between the political elite and the honest salary earner is so big and poverty is rife. This is a state where the ruling cabal live their lives like kings while the voters suffer in silence!

5. Imo State

Imo State is at the heart of the very vibrant Nigerian South-East. It is an Oil Producing State and also counted as one of the Niger Deltan States in Nigeria. This is a State with lots of potentials yet virtually nothing exists to show for it. The various administrations in the State since the return of democracy have turned the State into a potpourri of corruption. Corruption is so endemic that it manifests in virtually all aspects of the society. Political corruption manifests in the form of inflation of contracts, abandonment of contracts, amassment of wealth by public office holders, award of phantom projects, etc. Fraud is also rife in this State, with the youths taking to it as if it is an official engagement. Civil servants are known to collect bribes, schools extort students, and so much more. A serious re-orientation is needed if corruption is to be honestly fought in this state.

The list above comprises the most corrupt States in Nigeria. I have explained the reason behind my choice of the States and the nature of corrupt practices found in the States. I will now proceed to simply list 5 other States in the nation where corruption is endemic but not as rife as those found in the top 5 States aforementioned.

6. Abia State (second only to Imo State in the South-East in terms of corruption)
7. Ebonyi State
8. Kogi State
9. Kaduna State
10. Lagos State (corruption in this state is not really of a political nature but of other dimensions)

Corruption is not normal and shouldn't be seen as a part of life. As Nigerians, we have to change our mindsets and educate the younger generation as well as our peers. There are little things that we do that are tantamount to corruption but we see these things as normal and this is the mindset that some of us take to government if the opportunity comes. We have to build the nation and join in the fight against corruption. If your State is listed here, it means you have a sanctimonious duty as a patriotic citizen to educate those in the State on the need to resist corruption at all levels. While we wait for legislations that will stiffen the punishment for corruption to be made, it behoves us to report corruption and corrupt practices wherever we encounter them. With a change in orientation and a renewed sense of patriotism, we will surely defeat corruption, at least, on the personal level. From there, Nigeria's greatness shall be made manifest!

Orunmila agreed to carry out the injunction but predicted that God would Himself be a witness to the ultimate manifestation of Ogun's ingratitude.

Orunmila proceeded to perform the ceremony which lasted seven days. Before finalizing the ceremonies, war broke out between llakporo (Hadlmand Aminikun (Ere bus) on the sixth day and being the divinity of war, Ogun had to leave for battle before completing his lfa ceremonies.

He fought both sides into submission and returned home with over 600 prisoners of war, all carrying the spoils and loots of war.

On getting home, Ogun began to ponder over the hidden powers that Orunmila wielded.

He thought to himself that if the ceremony performed by Orunmila could so efficaciously transform his lot from penury to affluence, what would such a fellow-divinity do to him the day he decided to dare him.

Ogun then contrived a strategy for the elimination of Orunmila.

He invited his soldiers and gave them detailed instructions to go to Orunmila' s house in the night not only to set it on fire but also to kill anyone trying to escape from the blazing inferno.

Traditionally, Orunmila's house is next to God's in heaven, which-is why he Is called Ajiborisha Kpero - meaning: "the divinity who goes to greet God first thing in the morning."

God's house is all white with a white flag in front of it. On the other hand, Orunmila' s house Is painted with black dyestuff with a palm frond In front of it.

Ogun told his followers to bum the dark coloured house without telling them who owned or lived in it.
.
Meanwhile at his usual morning divination, Ifa revealed to orunmlla that war was imminent and that he should without delay offer a he-goat, white native chalk, charcoal, white cloth and palm-frond to Esu.

He quickly sent Akpetebi to the market to fetch the materials and he made the sacrifice without any delay.
.
Late in the night. when everyone had Slept. Esu got to do the work for which food had been given to him. He turned the colour of Orunmila's house to white and inserted a white flag in front of it. At the same time, he turned the colour of God's house from white to black and Inserted a palm-frond in front of it.

At this point, it is important to recall the proclamation of Esu that although he has no creative powers, he can nonetheless mutilate whatever God has created or designed.

After everyone had slept. Ogun's soldiers moved in to attack. They had no difficulty in locating the black house with the palm frond In front of it. They instantly set it on fire and took position to attack whoever would come out of it.

When God saw that His house was on fire, He commanded the fire to extinguish because. "it is forbidden to do any damage in the house of God - "Aikoro lule Orisa." The fire was instantly extinguished.

God then asked Ogun 's soldiers what it was all about and they explained that they were acting on Ogun's instructions. He asked which house they were instructed to set on fire and they further explained that it was the dark-coloured house with palm-frond in front of it.

God immediately realized what had happened and used Divine Telephonic Telepathy to invite Ogun and Orunmila to His Divine Chamber.............. to be continued
