OrlandoOwoh: You need to understand that my comment is in response to a forumite, not just the OP.
You should have asked for clarification, or better still, read why Falana decided to take the case to the ICC in his own essay. He is looking at #Dasukigate from human right abuse angle, not just corruption. The said $2.1 billion is supposed to be used to fight Boko Haram, but Dasuki decided to share it among PDP members, thereby denying the people that died as a result of non-availability of military hardware to fight Boko Haram, their right to life. If you ask me, I will tell you Falana is a good student of logic. I tot as much...ur line of argument is where my tot went. >>There is no morality in politics, and to dat extent dat "logic" lacks merit & will not be entertained (watch & see if ICC will make any comments in it). Let me take u down memory lane; in 2003, U.S invaded Iraq without d mandatory approval of d UN Security Council. The U.S govt reason for invading Iraq which led to a NEEDLESSLY MASSIVE lose of lives & properties was at d end of d war a figment of its imagination. Alas! Iraq had no stock pile of WMD. Was dat not a brazen & direct Crime against Humanity? But in dis case Dasuki's offence is not a case of Genocide or Crime Against Humanity. >>It is on record & properly documented too dat between February 14, 2015 to March 28, 2015 Nigerian Army degraded Boko-haram sufficiently such dat elections were smooth in d North & we had less of boko-haram as from March (verify). It was all over d media dat d reason for dis success was because d Army had been equipped. where I'm going to is dis, in court the question den will be, "TO WHAT EXTENT CAN THE PROSECUTING COUNCIL ARGUE THAT THE MISAPPROPRIATION OF $2.1b WAS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DEATHS OF NORTH EASTNERS, IF THE SUCCESS RECORDED IN DEGRADING BOKO-HARAM IN 6 WEEKS & SUSTAINED UNTIL MAY 29, 2015 WEN BUHARI TOOK OVER IS ANYTHING TO GO BY, HOW CAN THEY LINK THE NUMBER OF DEATHS TO THE SAID AMOUNT? >>Guideline: in 2003, the Supreme Court of Nigeria upheld d election of Obasanjo on d premise dat d electoral malpractices in d Presidential election WAS NOT SUFFICIENT TO ALTER THE RESULT OF THE ELECTION. Hope u now understand d logic in d question I asked? #goodluck!!! |

OkutaNla: Really? ? How come that administration failed to implement it? I'll tell you why, coz it was never intended for implementation to begin with. NOI may not necessarily be corrupt in the strict sense of the word but she was weak and complicit in the financial crimes that were perpetrated under her watch. At best, just like her boss, she chose to look the other way while the looters had a field day. Who else if not her should be held accountable? She was the (sic) finance minister for pete's sake. ur name is sorry. ur comment reeks of thuggery! >>If u knew d implication of TSA to banking, then to labour, then to economy as a whole, then to vices such as crime, u will appreciate why TSA shouldn't be implemented to the letters. >>When d disadvantage of a thing outweighs its advantage, is dat thing beneficial?? doctokwus: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has a totally different meaning of what it entails to fight corruption. I may disagree with Falana on charging her to the ICC based specifically on the $2.1b Dasukigate, but for her to claim she fought corruption and linking her mum's kidnap to her acclaimed fight is nothing but fallacy. u're simply suffering from "confirmation bias". that's all! |

I LOVE THIS STORY......
PLS READ: A man had only one daughter.
When the daughter was of marriage age,
the father sent news around town that all the eligible young
men should come to compete in a test which would
determine who was fit to marry his daughter.
On the set day, all the able-bodied young men came out.
Some came with paper and pen and others with cutlasses
and swords.
The rich man took them to his swimming pool
and addressed the men: “Any of you who can swim from
one end of this swimming pool to the other would marry my
daughter.
In addition, I‘ll give him 15 million naira, a car and a house
so they can start life well.
I shall be waiting
to meet my son-in-law at the other side.
Goodluck!”
As the young men, all very excited at the
prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts,a
helicopter came over the pool and dropped snakes and
crocodiles into the pool.
Immediately, all the men turned back and
started wearing their
shirts again.
Disappointed, some
of them said, ''That's crazy, no one will'.
All of a sudden, they heard a splash in
the pool.
Everybody watched in
amazement as one
gentleman struggled his way across, avoiding the snakes
and crocodiles.
Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man could not
believe it.
He asked the young man to name anything he wanted but
the man was still
panting uncontrollably.
Finally, he got himself together and made a
request saying, ''SHOW ME THE PERSON WHO
PUSHED ME INSIDE THIS POOL!''
Moral: You don’t know what you are capable of doing, until
you are
PUSHED!!.
Sometimes it takes going through the bad
moments to bring out the BEST in us.
Trials are raw materials for Triumphant Testimonies...
The push might take different dimensions: some people
needed to be sacked before realizing their potentials and
reaching their
goals in life.

Basic123: .....Do you know professor hezekiah Oluwasanmi and professor Oladele Ajose were just professors at University of ibadan college of medicine?...Those are OAU pioneering VCs lolzzzzz... ur argument is ridden in fallacy. U are inferring from ur line of argument dat d quality of a university is a function of how long it has been in existence. I beg to disagree. If ur assertion is tenable then UI should have remained perpetually d best school on d rankings from credible institutions like WEBOMETRICS & NUC. >>It is imperative to state dat UI was established 1948 whereas, OAU came into existence in 1962. It was therefore normal for doz who had been around for a while to contribute to d school's development. >>U may check WEBOMETRICS & NUC rankings for d past 5yrs and see d ratings. |

Luukasz: OAU is beautiful on the outside but grotesque on the inside. I have friends & a neighbour there who always say U.I is better than OAU. in terms of relatively smooth calendar, yes but in terms of education, NO. Many students leave OAU every session for UI cos dey can't cope. Go and look at webometrics ranking in d last 5yrs and NUC authentic ranking within d last 5 yrs too. OAU doesn't just have better structures, it is d case of OAU &others. This ranking is 2013 and not 2015. |
