The Kano State Police Command has banned a mass wedding organised by a group loyal to former Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Majiya, and issued to newsmen on Thursday in Kano.
According to the statement, the measure is necessary because the wedding coincided with the state government’s planned empowerment programme event slated for Aug. 20.
``The police has banned the two ceremonies indefinitely as security Intelligence available at our disposal revealed that some disgruntled elements are preparing to use the occasions to cause havoc in the state.
It warned that the police and other security agencies would not fold their arms to allow some people to breach the peace in the state.
``Our prime responsibility is to ensure peace, tranquillity, protection of lives and property as well as maintenance of law and order,’’ the statement said.
The statement said that the Commissioner of Police would invite the organisers of the two events for a meeting with a view to resolving the issues.

It all started about two months ago, when I went to visit my sister in abuja. on arrival at her house I was welcomed by a new face with boobs so big that her nipples were staring at me right in the eyes. at first I looked away but my mind couldn't just get off it.

The five-man panel of judges led by Morenikeji Ogunwumiju on Thursday said the lower court made a “summersault” when it entertained matters that had already been transmitted to the appellate court.
According to the judgement, which was delivered by Philomena Ekpe, the lower court had no business entertaining further applications on the matter and did not have right to adjourn the matter.
“From the above submission, the said issue is hereby resolved in view of the appellant against the first respondent. Consequently this appeal is deemed meritorious and it is hereby allowed,” she said.
“The decision of the lower court delivered 28th July 2016 is hereby set aside and the cost of N100,000 is hereby awarded in favour of the appellant.”

Political observers are familiar with the conflicting judgements given by two Federal High Courts, one sitting in Port-Harcourt & the other in Abuja. The Federal High Court in Port-Harcourt approved of d PDP Convention but d Court in Abuja which has equal powers with dat of Port-Harcourt gave an opposite judgement suspending d convention until September 7. The question then is,what should be the way forward? The way forward is VERY SIMPLE. One out of the twelve legal maxims of equity states dat, *"when two (equal) equities disagree on a matter, the first in time prevails."* That means dat since the contradicting judgements was delivered by 2 different courts of equal powers, the first judgement will prevail over the second. *The Port-Harcourt judgment was delivered FIRST before the Abuja judgement.* Therefore d Port-Harcourt judgement will supersede d Abuja judgement. That's d way forward. The PDP Convention has a legal ground to hold(sentiments apart). Why? Because, "when two equities disagree, the first in time prevails".

Nasarawa State Police command on Monday nabbed a 46 year-old pastor, Ifeanyi Bernard, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in the Karu Local Government Area of the state.

The law enforcement agents said the said rape occurred on November 3 during a deliverance session between the pastor and the teenager.

However, the pastor described the incident as the handiwork of the devil.

According to the Criminal Investigative Department, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sani Mohammed, the suspect was apprehended following a report by the victim’s father of the victim, Mr. Martins Ijiwo.

The police said the cleric who lives in the Alikima Mararaba area of the state, lured the victim into his house promising to exorcize the demons in the teenager after which he pushed her to his bed and raped her repeatedly.

“the suspect threatened to kill the victim if she reported the incident to any member of her family.” The commissioner noted

Policemen also recovered bottles of anointing oil from the suspect’s home as well as a bedspread.

Two married men with grown up children have been arrested by the Mabushi police division for allegedly molesting and raping an underage girl in an uncompleted building in Gishiri area.
13-year-old Peace Chinedu had accused Mr. David Sarki, a driver and Chidi Njoku, a businessman, who also live in Gishiri, of violently raping her in an uncompleted building.

Peace told our reporter that her mother went out that evening to buy some items for dinner when suddenly, Mr. Chidi Njoku, a father of three came to their house with David Sarki and requested she followed them to see something.
She said that initially, she refused, but the men pressured her to follow them to where her mother was. On hearing that, she followed them, thinking that something bad had happened to her mother.
“I thought they were taking me to see my mum because that was what they told me, but instead I was taken to an uncompleted building. When I asked them why they brought me there, Mr. David slapped me and asked me to remove my clothes. I refused, but both men tore my clothes. They pushed me down and Mr. David Sarki raped me. I cried and pleaded to Mr. Njoku who was watching, to rescue me but he also removed his trousers and raped me.”
She said that after the rape, she felt so much pain that she started begging the two men not to kill her.
