Please help a brother. I worked for this guy for one week as a construction labourer and I told him I can't continue due to the weather, that the weather is affecting my health. He said if I stopped working he won't pay me, I thought he was joking oh. This is more than 4 weeks now, I have been asking this guy for my money. He said I bridged contract. We signed no contract. It was even when I told him I am stopping that he said it's a 12month job. To end every talk, he told me to get a doctor's report to prove health and he will pay me. I went to gp, they said it will take 6months.

Before I started the job, the only discussion about the job we had was that he sent me pictures of what they do and I told him it's something I will love so. Its in open field so when we started I began to see that the cold is killing. This is my first outdoor job in the uk so I didn't really imagined it will be that cold. I respected him and worked till Friday.

Please what ways can I use to get my money. Are there other legal ways to get a doctor's report? If I get a doctor's report from Nigeria will it serve?

Finally, please did I really do anything wrong? Do I really have to present a doctor's report to be paid?

Please if you can find your way to ebonyi state, you can do express and get your passport same day, highest the next day. I went yesterday and got it yesterday by 8pm.

My advice,

If you are coming from very far, on the day of your arrival, lodge in a hotel, I lodged in WDC, the next morning be at the immigration office very early. Meet any of the officials and tell them you need express it's about 70k or more depending on your bargaining power. Do the registration, then capturing. Relax and wait for your passport, wait and keep lobbying and begging your agent to make it faster for you.

If you get your passport same day, you go back to your hotel room and leave the next day.

Another thing you can do is if you can reach the immigration office anytime before 6pm, still enter and struggle to know if you can do registration and capturing, then go to your hotel and come back the next morning to collect your passport.

This is pending when their passport finishes oh.

Hello house,

Thanks to everyone answering questions and keeping us informed.

Please I need urgent help and suggestions.

I have Bsc in Political science, please what political science related course can I pick that has job prospects in the UK. I initially had Social work Msc in mind but I was denied admission because they are not related and I have social work experience.

I wanted to apply for international relations but the job prospect is very very low. Please if you are in UK or understand the UK job market, please suggest a good political science related masters I could apply for.

Thanks once more.

#PersonalOpinion

I dont think it's an issue that Chinese is not listed and French is listed under job titles. I believe those are illustrative examples and as we know the title is not important, the duties are. He is probably ok so long as his JD matches the lead statement AND main duties of 4011. I was going to suggest 4021 just to compare with the JD.

https://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=314243&CVD=314247&CPV=4011&CST=01012016&CLV=4&MLV=4

Thank you so much. I just went through 4021 and it's more for colleges and language centers of which he does not have work experience for. I would rather he goes for the 4011 as it won't be a problem what he teaches. Thanks so much for your response.

Hello house, please help me with this question.

I have a friend who is a lecturer in a federal university. He has a master's degree in Chinese language and lectures Chinese language.

Please do you think he qualifies for the NOC 4011 which is for lecturers. This is because the details of this NOC seem to specify some subject of lecturing. The only language lecturer specified is French lecturer.

Please experienced people in the house please help me understand NOC 4011 as it concerns a Chinese language lecturer.

Thanks house.

Good day, please i have been following this thread for a while. My questions;

1- Can a HND holder gets an English language teaching Job in Vietnam?
2- If yes, what are the requirements.

Regards.

To start with, you might need to read this thread from the beginning you will see every info on requirements.

I sincerely doubt if you can process a work visa with HND certificate. I am not really sure. They seem to recognize Bsc only. I am not 100% sure though.

1. He is not a graduate, he has just OND and he is 31 year old. Will that stand on the way? He is actually ready commit his all into this.

2. He has very litle knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript though he has been learning online. Your website indicates having a proficient knowledge. Can he qualify for the training when he apply?

3. This HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Will it be taught again at the training since students are expected to have the skill before coming.

4. When exactly is the training starting in August?

Thanks so much. The answer to these questions will really help.

From what I reasearched it's better to go to Vietnam on tourist visa then search for teaching jobs than searching from Nigeria they are more willing to take applicants on ground, you can even apply to schools when you get there and change status to student permit if you get a school that admits you.
Pls share your brother here the name of the uni you and your brother applied too o abed

No body will give you tourist visa as a Nigerian. Our case is different and difficult.

Have you tried this list of schools, these schools are globally accredited.

- Vietnam Japan University

- Vietnam France University (aka University of Science and Technology of Hanoi)

- RMIT Vietnam

- British University Vietnam

- Vietnamese-German University

- Fulbright University Vietnam

There are some good Vietnamese public and private universities that are offering cheap tuition fees but I'm not sure that they are accepting international students.

For example:
Ton Duc Thang University
Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City
VNUHCM - University of Technology
VNUHCM - International University
Vietnam National University, Hanoi
Hanoi University of Science and Technology

btw, I am Vietnamese and I am not an agent.

Thanks so much for the input. Will research them further.

Please all this schools that request for money to process visa, is that way it's done? I thought when you pay your tuition fee THE SCHOOL SHOULD PROCESS THE VISA AT THE IMMIGRATION FOR YOU while you pay for visa stamp at the embassy.

Some school are cheap but will require you to pay almost $2000 to process visa. Am wondering if that is right.

Goddys:

Don't be too excited. Normal undergraduate programme in a well recognised national university in Vietnam is between $4000-$6000.

Google about the school. From their website, it appears they are all concerned about happiness and have an insignificant number of students. No university ranking. Website is very colorful and appears unfit for formal place of learning.

And the part time job placement may not fetch up to $100 monthly and It is compulsory for students to partake in those internships.

My advice is for people to enter good school in Vietnam so that they can have opportunity to teach part time. From research, vietnam is a poor country compare to Hong Kong. So going on formal internship placement may not fetch good money like that

That's really a valid point.

Schooling

On the issue of schooling, I do not know much and cannot authoritatively speak on it. However, some days ago, someone mentioned a particular school was looking to accept foreign students as a way to integrate and help their student learn English better.

She mentioned it's a four year course in either E-commerce or business infotech and it comes with a part time job. it's also ridiculously cheap. I think it's not up to $2000 for the four years. I can't remember.

I don't know if links are accepted so here's a screenshot. Go to the website, read through, send mails and get more info.

On this note, please don't DM me asking for information that is already on this thread. Please. It's not me snubbing. I take out time and my heart and write these things only for people not to read but come inbox like VVIP and request same info. Please understand.

If there is a question that wasn't answered on the school's website, then you can post questions here and I'll ask the lady. Her guy teaches there so the info would be accurate but first, check it out and see if it's something you'd like to embark on

If I haven't replied your mail yet, I'll get to it in time as I have tons of messages

Good news and bad news.

I am in severe pain right now.

@WhyNa told us of this school some weeks ago, I don't know how many that reached out to them. It's a very great place to study.

I reached out to the and they said they needed 20 to 30 foreign African students to study for Bsc for free. The reason it's free is because they want them to integrate with the Vietnamese students and help them with their English speaking skill.

Unfortunately, I was disqualified due to age, that's the bad news. They need youths who are below 24 years.

According to then, you will have part time jobs and will also be doing paid internships every year.

For enrolment, you will send your WAEC Certificate, Transcript, birth certificate and international passport.

It's free but you will be paying for admission and visa processing which is about $2,500 to $3,000.

This is their first time admitting foreign students so as many as can should grab this opportunity.

Please don't ask me for their email, just visit their website and you will see their email address. Send them a mail. Also, please don't send me a DM concerning this, just search for edx university and look for their email.

For those above 24, e don be. lol. I begged and they said it's a pity.

Udo diri anyi.
