I was just going through my docs and noticed that at the bottom of the marriage certificate there is a statement with a website at the bottom.

- www.intergovtmaritalete.org -

But this site does not exist. If they check it online they will not see it and may think it is fake.

Those who have successfully got there grant and have similar marriage certificate - Did you experience any problem with assessor?.

I asked because a lot of centers have 2 or 3 people doing speaking at the same time and this tend to cause some confusion/distractions during the test.

If I may ask, how many people did speaking at the same time in UKEAS. At belaz its maximum of 3 at a time.

UKEAS Ikeja. It is not a function of where. It think it is a function of if you are able to place the mic correctly and the computer/ exam app behave itself during the testing period. In my own case the exam app decided to freeze during the repeat sentence part and that can happen in any center. A friend did his own a week before mine in same location and got his 20 points.

Yes I have.

Speaking score increased But not enough. LRSW - 86,83, 72 , 89 .

Speaking 72, Oral fluency - 80, Pronunciation - 45 ( everything increased compared to the last real test )

Planning to retake soon.

I just pray I will do better in the real thing when I finally summon the courage to retake it again.

What I did differently:

- Spoke faster than before.

- Did not explicitly pause for comma, just a very small almost unnoticeable pause. Fluency 90

- Observed word stress, sentence stress and intonation in the best way I could (this was not easy). Pronunciation increased to 52 from 39 and 43 in the last 2 mock test.

- In addition to my normal way of describing image, I added a statement to include the vertical axis. Maybe it increased the mark for content also I'm not sure - "the vertical axis shows a range of number from ____ to _____".

Wow, @ Azy123 , you really got close to the golden mark in speaking. Did you speak faster than before or put more emphasis on pronunciation/intonation? In mock test A, I got 64 in Speaking, Pronunciation 37, oral fluency 74. Do we go for tongue twisting exercise?

I'm so happy I can't just contain it. Waking up to a mail from VETASSESS almost gives one a high BP as one is not sure of VETASSESS and their ways. However, lo and behold, it was POSITIVE.
Assessment lodged 11th August...
Positive outcome 26th September...that's about 6weeks and some days.

Hi all, Any one with good news recently on this PTE test ( mock or real ) to motivate the rest of us.

I was able to achieve 77 in MOCK speaking after some preparation. Going for the real thing next week. Preparation continues with some luck we will get there.

I used it for a while.It picked almost all of my words most of the time. But usually doesn't pick the first word. So, I have concluded my pronunciation problem is not the production of individual vowel or consonant sounds but that of stress and intonation. Mostly sentence stress and intonation and some word stress. Working on that now.

She practiced vigorously with the aid of the book "The Official Guide to PTE Academic" (comes with a CD-ROM) and took many mock tests. We got a headset with which she practiced Speaking and simulated live exam environment.

We also benefited from some tips given by either Bnimz or Mctowe01. Will share once I locate the page. Cheers

if your CRS can get to the above score (458), You dont need PNP to begin with. Just study hard and blast the exam.

- I would like to ask if it is advisable for hubby to apply for Manitoba nomination now. The information I have is that they have not nominate for about a year now.

My CRS score when I checked the CRS tool ( assuming 8,7,7,7 LRSW ) is 458.
Hubby CRS - 406

Should I go on and start the process or wait for Manitoba Provincial nomination to begin as my hubby siblings are currently living there.
