catchdwind4rmkd: Thanks buddy. YES Chemical Engineer. Yeah Malkinburg did warn, but I never would think I'll be a victim. However, I think my challenge was I'm not a loud speaker, and taking the test in a room full of Indians, you're doomed if you can't shout coz those dudes are just loud that I felt disturbed. Of course if I want to repeat it's gotto be IELTS unless I'm placed alone in a room for the PTE. But bro, the problem is that, down here and at the moment, every dollar counts to my survival. So, I'm not willing to make another try unless situation calls for it; if state nomination proves to be taking longer.
Pls ALL, don't be discouraged by my Poor PTE score. I find the PTE to be easier and more comfortable than the IELTS. Apparently, my score didn't support my claim; I must have done something wrong. But since I can't identify what it is I did wrong, I'm just gonna stay clear, hahaaaa. catchdwind4rmkd: I have been on the sidelines for couple of months, but you can be rest assured that I haven't been sleeping neither have I stopped the chase.
So, I've got both good and bad news... And for me, the good news always comes first.
I received a positive outcome on my MSA CDR application from EA today. It was Fast Track, and took 16 working days; my status didn't change until the 16th working day. I'm grateful to you all for your relentless and selfless services. SPECIAL THANKS TO @MALKINGBURG for the RELEVANT MATERIALS.
In another news, I give up on 189. Now chasing 190. My last English test (PTE) was a complete DISASTER, SPEAKING score of 49 (R70 L78 W86). Completely demoralised to even try again, hahaaa. My speaking can't be that bad. Thankfully, my IELTS was band 7. In my case, practice didn't make perfect because this was my first time of ever preparing/practicing for an English test; over a month wasted, lol. Thanks to y'all for the resourceful materials and links. SPECIAL THANKS to @MCTOWEL01 for the RELEVANT OFFLINE MATERIALS. catchdwind4rmkd: Moved Forward!!!
Grace has come to my rescue as always... All praise and glory be to God... It certainly couldn't have come at any better time than now
So, after 8 days of suspense and worries (longest ever I guess), it's all GREEN for me... Moved on! PTE answered the call @Band7LetMyPeopleGooooo
Thanks for all your support Hello Catchwindfrmkd, I am now in this shoe with this PTE english. I have taken it two times now. The first speaking was 66 and I was hoping to improve it but lo and behold the 2nd attampt is 44. Were you able to identify what you did wrong before you could increase your score. Thanks. |

ogbevireo: WOW!!! Thank God for this. Success in the next stage. Please how many years of experience did you originally declare to ACS? Which of the MS certs do you hold, MCSE? From what you said, I deduce that you didn't have to go the RPL route, right?
Thanks in anticipation. tha did not come out right. 7 years initially declared. MCSE and some old ones - MCTS, active directory, network infrastructure, MCITP:EA I did not use RPL. Hope the info helps. |

Dewys1: Good one there! Which ICT occupation did you nominate? ACS seems to be doing wonders considering their average turnaround time is 12 weeks.
Regards, It seems they are faster with certifications. it is easier for them to verify. I nominated 263111 - computer network and system engineer. |

I got my +ve assessment from ACS this morning. I used my Microsoft certification since my Bsc. is not related to computer in any way. I was considered RPL but since I have MS certification i decided to upgrade my old certification and then use it. They deducted 5 years of experience.
I got the result one week after submitting ( less a few hours)
Thanks bolaobby.

asskush: Hello House,
I have a diploma in Data Proceeding an a Degree in Computer Science from Nigerian University. I also seven and half years work experience as a software developer . Please house what is my chances of getting a PR? I am thinking of giving it a shot. If u can get 65 points and above then you are good to go. if your 7+ yrs experience is after your degree and seen as related to your occupation by ACS, you will get = 10 point Education = 15 points English ( if you prepare and tap into bnimz annointing) = 20 points The rest depends on your age. read page 0-2 of the thread I think you have a very good chance. |

Kingbukaz: As regards to the recent review of DIBP on sine courses Like ICT raising the point to 65 for independent class. Does one still need to have 65 points if he's applying through state nomination? Or just the normal 60points. It is actually 55 points. unless otherwise specified by the state. If you can get 55 points you can apply. state gives you additional 5 points if successful. And they are not subjected to occupational ceiling. |

This article looks at recent SkillSelect invitation rounds and changes to state nomination requirements.
The situation remains difficult for pro-rata occupations, but this may change as the number of invitations being issued is well below planning levels........ |

Thanks of the advice. kaboninc: Hello Azy123,
Just do a simple check when dealing. A simple check...why do you guys just give in easily into these thieves? Why?
Just in one day, I've had two experiences, one contacted me and another scammed another.
Only if Tabbaz tells us the number of attempts and victims he experiences everyday...
You have the goods, you decide the terms. If they do not like the term, you can choose escrow. Use escrow. Or spare sometime and resources to contact a few trusted guys before dealing.... |

Thanks balogunsam: woow....so sorry about that. The thing is you don't need to have apersonal relatioship with them to have them act as escrow for you. You just need to contact them and politely ask if they could serve as escrow for you. Nairaland is no man's land so just about anything can happen, hence the disclaimers and the public urging to do due diligence. Once again, sorry about your loss...its horrible losing money in this current economic period. Hope you bounce back stronger. |

I transferred first then he said he wanted to confirm. he still confirming up till now since yesterday nite. he will continue to confirm till eternity it seems. the number is not going anymore. momentarylapse: Are you scared of exposing the scammer? Another Mumu JJC as been scammed. That is me. I just wanted to try and see how this e-currency thing work and first exposure I got scammed. It is well. Thank God it is only 102 USD skrill. I should have done my homework very well. What is the hope for newcomers on this thread. No one want to send first to you and if you send first you get scammed and I do not have any personal relationship with any of the trusted name here to bother them with escrow. Please help because I am still interested in dealing in e-currency. Thanks. Azy123: 102$ skrill for sale at 430#. Contact in my signature. Thanks |
