Politics › Re: Will This Railway Carry Us Home? by ba7man(m): 7:48pm On Jan 06, 2014
Sincere 9gerian: That is your opinion. Unfortunately, the target consumers of the railway services dont share that same opinion. They still troop to the railway stations causing congestion sometimes. Services will improve overtime.

Talking of "visionless leaders", were you refering to Tinubu, who ruled Lagos for 8 years but was clueless and visionless as to how to build an efficient mass transportation system for the state? No railways, no nothing. Even the metro rail project, started by Jakande in the 80s, could not be resurrected in the colourless 8 year rule of Tinubu. That is a perfect definition of cluelessness and visionlessness
There has never being a project like the light Rail in Nigeria........Now that is Vision.

But there has been Railway trains that move at Top speed of 35km/h in Nigeria since the 19th century...........

Which one represents a vision for the future to you??

Buddah Monk: If arrogant you is still doubting come let me take you on tour of Fardock Estate at Iju Ishaga an see for yourself.

Sorry to say this,Your people are just useless.

Who do all the extortions of N5,N10,N20,N30,in all the markets in lagos=Yorubas.
Who move all the garbages generated in all the markets in lagos=Yorubas.
Who wash plates in lagos.
keep quiet jooor. No, who else collects N5, N10, N20, N30 in Onitsha and Aba?? Is it Yoruba too??

Who moves the garbage in eastern markets?? Is it Yoruba??

Who washes plates in the east??

Because you're able to see the dregs of the Yoruba society because you live in Lagos doesn't mean they don't exist in your region.
Politics › Re: Who Runs The Lagos Economy? by ba7man(m): 11:12am On Jan 06, 2014
Buddah Monk: I dont know why Yorubas cant swallow pride and move on.

Thier leaders know that 100 Igbos that left Lagos 5000 Yorubas that go to bed empty stomach.

Igbo traders employ mostly Yoruba domestic workers, from drivers to cleaners to nannies to gatemen to washers to gardners etc yet these e-rats wont admit it here but deepdown they know all is not well.

Come to Fardock estate here at Iju,79% of the buildings are owned by Igbos, then check out the huge canal by the side of Fardock Estate, you will see poor squatters living side by side the slum, poor houses with rusty roofs, most have no bathroom, poor toilet, poor sewage system, you will see tombs inside rooms and beside gutters.....to my greatest dismay my inlaw told me that those slum dwellers were the ones that sold all the lands in Fardock Estate.
He showed me one Rasheed whom he bought his land from,Rasheed is a slumdweller after selling more than 6plots of land to those Igbos.
The wives of those slumdwellers are now working as domestic workers to those Fardock residents.
My question is what did those Yoruba landowners do with the fortunes they realised from selling off those lands to the igbos in Fardock Estate?

Nawaooo this is not funny
If you want to know an Igbo man that lies, he uses a lot of "Percentages" in his terminologies.

When you get to the same estate he's talking about, you'll think it would be like a mini Enugu but you'll find out its all fiction and percentages pulled out of his ar5ehole.

Who in Nigeria doesn't know that an Igbo man that makes it in Lagos will bring in up to 15 of his relatives along. Some will sleep in the shops, the company bus.

Picking a help out of the number of relatives he imported is also a no-brainer so you see another lie from this dude i quoted.
Politics › Re: Who Runs The Lagos Economy? by ba7man(m): 11:03am On Jan 06, 2014
The title of the post should be "WHO TURNED RESIDENTIAL AREAS IN LAGOS INTO MARKETS"??

If you aren't ignorant, you'll know that Lagos has been the Economic power house of Nigeria long before Independence............decades before the creation of Ladipo, Computer Village, Alaba etc. (Markets that should be closed down under sane climes).

Its actually a person of inferior education or orientation that will conclude that those markets are the foundation of the Lagos Economy. When we talk about the corporate sector, you'll find they have less presence, same with transportation, construction and manufacturing.

The Igbos on this forum that believe this fail to understand that "The customers make the trader" and not the other way round. If no one or only igbos patronize those shops, they'll probably be struggling to break even.

Also, to those that boast that Igbos are buying land in Lagos, I'll say they're only re-investing in the Land that "Made" them to secure their future in it.

Most of them owe their sucess to Lagos so they buy land and property in it to secure their future since its not guaranteed the same elsewhere.

The least they can do is be humble and greatful that they were allowed to live and do business in it.
Crime › Re: 2,500 Teenagers Rescued From 'baby Factories' In South-east by ba7man(m): 7:43am On Jan 06, 2014
abagoro: That's a complete lie. The girls run away from home and look for where they can have secret delivery. Many teenage pregnant girls even throw their babies into the pit, river or refuse dump. That's a reality that the media has deliberately denied. It is wrong to make profits off these misguided teenagers but we all know that they were not lured.
You better admit the problem and start looking for solutions.

Sincere 9gerian: I'm sorry but I'm not Vanguard. Vanguard did the report so take your complaints to them.
That report is dated. Actions have been taken on it. I ride in those buses so i know.

I hope you won't bring out that same post in year 2016 and try to pass it off as the "Situation on ground".

Sincere 9gerian: So can an APC govt which could not manage a mere bus transport system be trusted with more complex rail transport system? I dont think so
Ohhhh Purrrlllleeeaaseee!!!!!!...........U sit in Enugu and you're posting on BRT buses in Lagos you've never seen.

Brand new buses have been delivered since with TV screen in them running Football highlights, Adverts and music videos.

Go to the BRT bus-park and see how the rickety ones are being fixed.

You comparism of ABC Transport to The BRT is also warpped.

How can you compare a city route with stop-start traffic and endless wear from passangers that board and disembark at regular intervals (some even have to stand) all day to an inter-State route that you board once and disembark at the end of your journey hours later.

I'm even sure those ABC buses are filled with Passangers coming into Lagos to ride the BRT and contribute to its depreciation.

DerideGull: @OP

Most typical Nigerians have reduced them selves to perennial laughing stocks. How could a person possibly think of leaping into the 21st century when he/she has not touched down on 19th century? Nigerian society is an uneducated consumer type and infinitely unaware of its surroundings. It can not produce a rope to hang itself yet it wants to walk on the moon.

In addition, Nigerian society lacks basics required to be production-oriented society. If the Nigeria can not manage simple locative train services which require few mechanical drills and large quantity of diesel fuel, how could it manage the complexity involved in electricity and other requirements involved in monorail services? Nigerians are really funny bunch.
Maybe you should observe how the U.A.E was able to transform itself in so little time.

All it takes is 1 inspirational leader.
Politics › Re: Lagos - Kano Train: 43 Hours Journey, Declining Passenger Interest by ba7man(m): 2:11pm On Jan 05, 2014
Sincere 9gerian: The APC/ACN led govt has also not been able to complete the Lagos light rail project started by Jakande in the 80s. This is a party that has ruled Lagos for 15 years.

Meanwhile, the challenges highlighted in this report are surmountable. The problem is the negative attitude of the average Nigerian, including you, to govt property or work.
Stop repeating this your lie of Jakande starting the light Rail project.

You're trying to make it appear as if the project has been on for 31yrs.

The problem is the half-baked idea of refurbishing Locomotives and branding it as "Railway Transformation".

And I'm sure people will be shocked at the amount spent to arrive at trains that move so slowly and breakdown.

As usual, Good Idea, half-baked implimentation advertised as "Transformation".

Nonsense, he's read the book and he's being disrespected by all and sundry.

Does he keep quiet because he's following the law or because he has nothing in his head to say?

When people were being bombed in the north, was he following the law then with his silence?

He's read the book and his party is loosing power through mass defection.

Instead of bothering on how to break APC up, you should be bothering yourself on how to stop the mass defection of PDP members.

At this rate, even Pastor Chris Okotie's Fresh Party will soon start absorbing defecting PDP members.

Beautiful display. I'm sure it looks even better in reality.

All uyo needs now is a Show or Festival like the Count down party organized in Lagos to attract people to come experience it.

I think it would be better if Uyo remains moderately populated to maintain its scenic appearance.

A large population will ruin it.

Car Talk › Re: Reasons Why Real Men Still Drive Stick Cars .....manual by ba7man(m): 12:57pm On Jan 04, 2014
chucky234: Manual gear for real men? Certainly the joke of the century, except you all want me to believe 85% of the world drivers are incompetent since more than 85% of cars produce around the world are fitted with auto gear system.
96% of cars produced in the USA are fitted with auto tranny while 87% of cars driven in Europe and Asia are fitted with auto trannies, my first car was a 4- speed manual but I discovered a new driving experience when I bought my first car with auto gear system.
The auto gives me the freedom to think and plans how I'm going to make more money to fend for my family while in Lagos traffic, by the way who still drives manual in this age?
Abeg leave matter for Mathias, manual is outdated even car manufacturers have since moved up to auto for race cars, maybe those auto fitted race cars are driven by half-baked men.
Race cars are now fitted with tiptronic gears and paddle shifters.

These are forms of gears that allow you control your gear change manually.

Real people that love driving love manuals.

I'll probably own an automatic soon for my boring daily commute but with extra money available, I'll definitely purchase a manual car for the weekend.

You guys foolishly copy what you don't understand. Sincere 9gerian: Tinubu must come under attack because he is the FACE of APC. Tinubu is APC and APC is Tinubu. Just like the president comes under daily and unrelenting attacks from you guys, the return missiles from the other side will naturally fall on Tinubu.

That said, tell Tinubu and his dogs to leave our gas pipelines alone. Tell Tinubu to stop creating MORE WORK for our security agencies. Our security agencies already have their plate full with Boko Haram.
You guys call Tinubu a thief, why hasn't G.E.J effected his arrest and procecution??

You now say he's responsible for the sabotaged pipelines, Why hasn't the FG made a move to have him arrested??

If G.E.J is sure of this allegation and doesn't do anything about it, doesn't it confirm that he's truely weak??

Until evidence is provided, all what you say remains scripts from the next "James Bond" movie with Tinubu as the arch villian.
Politics › Re: Poor Power Supply In Lagos Area Is Due To Vandalism Of The Gas Pipeline In Lagos by ba7man(m): 9:07am On Jan 04, 2014
Sincere 9gerian: And that is all you have to say to a situation where people are sponsored to go under water and vandalize gas pipelines, disrupt public power supply and keep millions of households in darkness for weeks? And all you guys have to say is that govt should go and fix it, security agencies bla, bla, bla? Well, govt is already fixing it but honestly, you'r a disgrace!
The rate at which you attach Tinubu's name to every real and percieved problem is roving near the psychotic level, man.

The FG should effectively secure the oil and gas pipelines and stop pointing fingers, looking for excuses to cover up their incompetence.

Seriously, you need a break. Go to a seaside resort and stare at the ocean and waves, enjoy the breeze and let it clear your mind.

I just hope you won't start attacking coconut trees calling them Tinubu and his APC E-rats.
Car Talk › Re: Reasons Why Real Men Still Drive Stick Cars .....manual by ba7man(m): 8:34am On Jan 04, 2014
Hop in the car, start the engine..........

Put your manual gear in 1, release the clutch and accelerate hard...........

Accelerate till your rev needle climbs to about 6000RPM (In a regular car)..........change up fast and hard.......

Do it again for gear 2 and 3............You're driving within your car's power band by now...........change up to gear 4 ............you're flying by now.........

Still not fast enough??...........downshift to gear 3, rev till it then change up back to gear 4..........

Still not fast enough??......depress your clutch pedal hard, fast and release it............

Then, upshift to gear 5 and race towards the horizon with your heart in your mouth..............

This is why I love the manual gear, its so exciting to use hard. You tell your car what you want to do and it responds unlike autos that are so 1-dimensional.

A real Motorhead understands what I'm talking about.

Also, a manual car driver can easily adapt to an auto in less than 5mins but an Auto driver will have to learn driving all over again to drive a manual.

I always say this to auto drivers; "Pray you don't find yourself in a situation where u have to drive a manual gear to save a life becos that's when you'll discover how inept you truely are at driving".

Acidosis: Live with a woman who doesn't react to any of your bad actions @ your own risk.
Noooo..........there has to be a reaction from the lady oooo........or else there's little or no emotional connection.

But its that continuous nagging that gets it all messed up. She can cry, scream at him, ask him why, report to elders in the family, move out for a while.............but prolonged nagging will eventually have a negative effect.
Romance › Re: Reason Y U Shud Appreciate A Nagging Woman by ba7man(m): 7:39am On Jan 04, 2014
Acidosis: Your principle works better in a movie/book.

I'm still waiting for a woman who would rub the shoulders of a cheating husband, and not complain.
In that kind of situation, silence from the Lady will be a high distabillizing reaction to the man.

In that case tho, the man asked for it so he deserves it

..........but why the wife not sit him down and bare her mind on the situation and let him know the consequences (eg Telling elderly family members, moving out of the house with the kids) rather than nagging him out of the door again back to the arms of the lady he cheated with.
Romance › Re: Reason Y U Shud Appreciate A Nagging Woman by ba7man(m): 7:17am On Jan 04, 2014
Acidosis: You won't understand the OP untill you replace the word nagging with complaining

OP's line of explanation has nothing to do with nagging. It's just a misuse of word.
Either words, its wrong.

Anyone can Complain but a real intelligent person will profer solutions instead.

When you realize you can use words to solve a situation rather than aggrevate it, you'll experience more peace.
Romance › Re: Reason Y U Shud Appreciate A Nagging Woman by ba7man(m): 7:14am On Jan 04, 2014
There's a verse in Proverbs (The Bible) that says; "Its better for a man to live on the roof of his house than under that same roof with a nagging wife".

There's no excuse for a "Nag".

A lady should encourage, soothe, support, advice her man with words..............Not nag him till he starts staying away from home.
