Ikengawo: APC is a lie lie party. PDP supporters like them or not will tell you the Nigerian government is bad. APC will tell you that the APC portions of Nigeria are dubai and everywhere else is bad. A very disingenuous mentality towards the betterment of the nation
That's a bloody lie about PDP supporters.

They'll go to any length to defend PDP politicians and tell you "Power Situation has been fixed (even though they're in darkness)"..........."There's transformation in the aviation sector (even though safety practices are ignored and planes are crashing and tires falling off)".........etc

You're one of them so i shouldn't expect anything less from you.

If you have pics or information you want to share about "everywhere else", please do.

Tinubu as Governor banned street trading, illegal bustops and molues from plying this route. Look at it today.

Share yours if you have.

texazzpete: Then can the Lagos State Govt and their agents on Nairaland stop beating their chests about their massive strides in internally generated power?

Can they work with the FG to improve electricity distribution networks? Power situation in Lekki is a joke!
The power generated by Lagos State is used to power public State Buildings and streetlights.

That's why the Streetlights in Surulere, Yaba, Ikeja, Ikorodu road, Maryland Etc stay on constantly at night regardless of what NEPA does.

The State Govt is already playing their part, its up to the buyers of the DISCOs to play theirs.

PS: I typed this post in darkness.
Politics › Stella Oduah, Anybody Can Edit A Cv And Post It Online In Minutes. by ba7man(op): 10:19pm On Jan 08, 2014
Big deal, I can edit my CV and post it online in less than 2mins.

I wonder what took them so long to think up that cover up method.

It still doesn't explain all those online pages with missing information concerning her M.B.A.

"M.B.A in the United States" littered all over the Internet definitely came from somewhere.

Who else would be better to present it than the Senate that were careless enough to let her slip by. This would help redeem their incompetence.

Please discuss.

Who better to present it than the same Senate that goofed in letting it slip past them.

This still doesn't explain the "Masters in the United States" that litters everywhere her info is posted online.

Sincere 9gerian: We all know that but you and other APC e-warriors should be bothered that even on NL where you held sway before the tide has turned.
2015 will be the final judge.

That's why I'm not getting excited about defections and Nairaland polls.
Politics › Re: Vote Closed > PDP * - APC * by ba7man(m): 8:12pm On Jan 08, 2014
Sincere 9gerian: Is that how you'r consoling yourself?

Anyway, I told you guys that the APC project is dead on NL and elsewhere. I'm sure if we minus the multiple monikers of APC e-warriors, the vote of APC will reduce further drastically. For instance, @payless and eggheader confessed to having up to 30 monikers each. Who knows how many times they voted for APC.

I recall when I joined NL over a year ago, it was like a taboo to support GEJ on this forum. How time flies.

Anyway, congratulations to team FRESH AIR. Truth will always overcome lies.
But you know elections are not won on Nairaland.

You've said so before.
Politics › Re: Vote Closed > PDP * - APC * by ba7man(m): 7:22pm On Jan 08, 2014
Hmmmm.........PDP is winning on Nairaland.

That's a bad omen for PDP.

ACN had the upper-hand on Nairaland prior to the 2011 elections but PDP ended up winning.

It seems this is going to be the reversal this next election.

pheesayor: Maintenance culture is a general Nigerian problem, that it happens in Abia doesn't make it right to happen in Lagos. Lagos is beyond all these states and should be an example. Just my thoughts though
Just as you said............"Its a Nigerian problem".

Lagos is part of Nigeria and as long as it has Nigerians in it, its a general issue.

At least, there are various programs on TVC, LTV that constantly educate the residents on the dangers of indescriminate dumping of refuse.

The rest is left in the hands of the people....................Or should the State Govt try the Abuja approach and chase the lower class that are notoriously dirty out of the city??
Politics › Re: Why Is The South West After Stella Oduah? by ba7man(m): 10:59am On Jan 08, 2014
Some people should just pray that G.E.J goes beyond 2015 because if he fails to do so........................

The best option for them is to delay it till 2019.

Prepare urself for insult from their e-touts.
I guess they have maintainance culture in the location below.

Freewilly: So this Enugu international Airport thing still dey pain you my brother ? You know there comes a time in life you just have to let go before you hurt yourself. You know what Enugu Airport is going to be the biggest success story in Nigeria so sit down and watch.
Who gives a sh*t about Enugu Airport??

How has it afffected me or my familly??

Was at MMIA recently and was still angry at the large crowd there as if a concert was being held there.

I thought Enugu Airport was supposed to reduce it .

To Lagosians............. Enugu Airport doesn't exist.

@Topic. Eagerly waiting for Stella Oduah to come clear the air............

Freewilly: See mumu to the highest order, I thought he was going to compare Enugu airport with the one in his home town of Ibadan and not some Airport in South Africa.
Ibadan isn't an international Airport. Also, why an Airport in Ibadan when lagos is less than an hour away??

SMH for all these people that think Airports and flyovers automatically transform to economic development.

But it still still stands that all our Airports are C.R.A.P.

Your Enugu Airport is crap.......Same with MMIA.

Just a visit to Oliver Thambo Airport will make you realize those Airports you're so proud of are Bus Stations with planes parked behind them.

The only way she can silence the pesky SW media is if she publishes the Name of the school she got her M.B.A.

rudedough: Sad but true. Your employer has no legal right to publicise your credentials. You have no legal obligation to publicise your credentials likewise.

Fake or Original. It's left for your employer to take legal action against you but saying Stella Oduah must publicise her academic credentials is completely against her right to personal information.

You can consult a lawyer for clarification.
She holds a public office that's run by tax payers money.

DerideGull: Only a bloody fool shall assume or conclude that the statement of “she immediately stayed back to study for her Masters Degree which she achieved in 1983” meant she stayed back at St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, USA.

In fact, I would have given the statement a second thought if it reads ““she immediately enrolled to study for her Masters Degree which she achieved in 1983”. This statement would have brought the essence of school or college to my mind.
Why is it so hard for the name of the school to be mentioned??

Politics › Re: Will This Railway Carry Us Home? by ba7man(m): 8:11am On Jan 07, 2014
Sincere 9gerian: They are ignoramuses. Pls dont give up in trying to educate them.
Jakande had plans to initiate a metro line in Lagos.

The questions i have no answers to are;

(1) Was it supposed to be elevated since Lagos was far less populated back then. Its being elevated will certainly mark up the project cost substantially.

(2) Was it supposed to follow the current route on plan? Or was is intended to be on a lesser scale.

(3) I'm sure building demolitions, re-settlement and compensations of displaced people were not part of the initial plan so that makes it far harder to execute.

(4) Also, was Jakande's plan supposed to include 10 lane express roads? I doubt that.

Then, we should stop celebrating the half baked Railway System. If G.E.J sees how you guys praise him for those trains Hussein Bolt can outrun at their full speed, he might start believing in his own hype and stop the Railway upgrade as it is.
Car Talk › Re: Reasons Why Real Men Still Drive Stick Cars .....manual by ba7man(m): 7:35am On Jan 07, 2014
abatically: Triptronic is not the same thing as manual. Triptronics are automatic gears that can be operated as manual. Yes race cars are now using triptronic just to please the enthusiasts that love manual because they don't want to phase out manual cars just suddenly, so they give them an automatic car that can be driven as manual (not real manual though because it doesn't shift as fast as a manual car would). In triptronic mode, when u are on a high gear and lose speed, say u are climbing up the hill, when the rpm drops too low and u fail to downshift using the paddles, the computer will downshift itself. So its not manual.
The aim of the manual gear is to give you control over your car's responses.

Tiptronic and paddle shifters still enable one to do just that.

@topic. I drove an Auto car through the weekend and though it was relaxing, it lacked engagement and was a monotonous buzz of an experience.

I missed being able to downshift from 4th gear to 3rd just to feel that sudden burst of power.

I used to do just that in a friend's manual BMW 5 series and the car's response can bring tears of joy to ones eyes.

No auto can replicate that rush.

manny4life: The website says she got it from the states, no school was referenced... Na wa for you people o. undecided
The "States" is very vague. Why was care taken not to mention the school??

Someone comes to you for employment with a CV that says BSC/MSC from Nigeria and you won't ask what school or wonder what it would cost the person to include the school??

That's enough to set any sane person's "Fraud Alert" on.

That indicates that either she isn't proud of the school or there's a lie somewhere in there.
Politics › Re: Stella Oduah Lied About Her MBA Degree - Sahara Reporters by ba7man(m): 6:47am On Jan 07, 2014
rudedough: All 3 pictures, none said she got her MBA from St. Paul's college (If she ever had an MBA). Well, like @shymexx said, let's sit back and watch as it unfolds.
From Psychology, People become Vague and generalize information when they lie or they lack info.

If it was true, the school would have being boldy included to butress the article.

"BSC/MSC in the USA" is as vague as it gets since it leaves no room for verification.

More reason to get suspicious and probe further.
