Fuel and Transportation is now more expensive...................and the FG now get to share N10,000 to people every month.

..........A few projects have also being initiated but it doesn't justify the action of the Subsidy Removal.

To supporters of its Removal................"Was this the grand vision for the subsidy removal"huh

Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerians So Hated by ba7man(m): 7:06pm On Dec 29, 2013
I always say "You attract the behaviour you exhibit".

Look around you on NL Political section for example...........Its obvious Nigerians don't love each other so why would people love us??

That criminal tendency that some Nigerians have chosen to export to foreign countries isn't helping matters.

Eziachi: grin Eko is mainly Victoria Island. So you dont know when one is pulling your leg? grin I have two houses in Victoria Island, since 1982, so I knew the place three times more than you. The name Eko is synonimous to Lagos and thats the point I was hoping to make earlier.
Eko is Lagos Island. I'm a Lagos Island (Isale-Eko) indigene so i know. People just generalize the whole state with the name now.

You've had 2 houses on Victoria Island since 1982??

Hmmmm........ok ooo. Me too. I have 3 houses on Victoria Island since 1979.

Everyone has the right to accept or reject gifts so its not news to me.

But if it were Ruben Abati that was offered the cow, he'd gladly accept it with tears of joy in his eyes, run down to the media and start insulting Nigerians and APC.

Slyp: Now we are very sure of the candidates that will represent APc come 2015 same people that has been representing PDP. For us to be sure of the changes we have been looking for, I will hereby make an appeal to PDP to please give us a better choice of candidates come 2015 because right now APc is a doom, they have disgraced themselves by allowing those self seeking bastards in their presents. Honestly I am beginning to have a rethink about PDP. If people who gave PDP bad impression are now moving out of the party voluntarily I beleave PDP will become a new party. I use to be happy about the mergers of acn and cpc but now they really piss me off. It shall never be well with APC for betraying the hope Nigerians have in them.
You're so right. Politicians like Akpabio, Seriake Dickson, Uduaghan, Bamanga Tukur, Evans Bipi, Nyesome Wike, Jonah Jang give me so much confidence that i know they are the future of Nigerian politics.

Politics › Re: For Those Who Claim Sudan As An Example For Nigeria by ba7man(m): 4:42am On Dec 28, 2013
ROSSIKE: You can still be ''stuck in retardation in a [small] for nothing country that breeds hate and underdevelopment''. Just ask the Sierra Leonans, Liberians, Rwandans, Burundians and South Sudanese.

Smallness does not guarantee positive outcomes. There is strength in numbers. Nigeria is destined to be a great nation if we steer clear of disintegration. The economy is booming, the middle class is expanding, poverty is reducing, military dictatorship is history, there is greater political stability, and we are witnessing a period of unprecedented investment in infrastructure - roads, rail, airports, with the country currently Africa's No 1 investment destination, with a GDP that's been growing at approximately 7% per annum since 2000, with most of the growth driven by diversification and the expansion of the non-oil sector. Income per capita has QUADRUPLED since 2000, with this economic growth projected to remain constant or increase over the next 30 years, effectively placing the country among the world's top 20 economies.

And then what do the idiots go and do...They go SPLIT UP THE COUNTRY.

Nahh... Not gonna happen.

Boko Haram killed how many people in total? 5,000? 10,000? Terrible numbers. But that doesn't approach the USA's annual murder rate. Hardly a reason to split a country of 170 million. For all the talk of the Nigerian ethnic groups ''having nothing in common'', it really is a load of hogwash. Millions of Nigerians of all ethnic hue interact daily in this country with no problems whatsoever, with inter-marriage at an all-time high.

So because less than 0.1% of them may engage in inter ethnic conflict, we must ''split up the country''??

Ridiculous.

NO, We will NOT split up. We have a DESTINY to fulfill to Africa. We will not split into little Gambias, Liberias, Togos, and Sierra Leones - easily pushed around by the world powers - because we were too cowardly, stupi.d, and impatient to face the task of nation-building and national development.

Thanks.
I totally approve of this message.

jmaine: The OP happens to get a whiff of the social onslaught on our leaders and he baulks in.

It shows you are not ready for the chosen course you seek to pursue. In life, there are always 2 sides of the coin, and your favoured side doesn't occur always

Welcome to the social world of activism and e-bashing where building a thick skin is a must.

Your whining here will only seek you out as a weakling and your opponents will go for your jugular, since they know what irks and hurts you.

Be strong bruv cos more venom will be coming your way. You have to embrace your course with endurance, perseverance and guile.

It's a give and take venture, brace yourself. grin
They are not in the same boat.

Our leaders get to share Billions of Naira amongst themselves regularly and have paid hacks to reply the insults thrown their way(That alone makes all the insults worth it when you're eating N1billion worth of food)...................Meanwhile, the @OP is on the receiving end of the possible misrule of the leaders and has no one but himself to back him up.

I know @Okija Juju and @Pagan Naija will get angry but i think its time suspicious traditional worshippers that still deal with Blood sacrifice should be put under strict surveillance.

Helicopters should also be used for aeriel searches of undocumented settlements in bushes.

Ogijo and that Ikorodu axis should be swept through since cases of kidnappings for ritual killings is rampant in those areas.

You have to come to terms with the set up of the world.

There are far more stup1d people than intelligent people in the world. That's why there's the saying "Common sense is not common". Nigeria's case is just on a higher scale.

That's why there are a lot more poor/average people that rich people(Legitimate wealth not the criminals we fight ourselves over here)

That explains why it seems as if a lot of people are against you.

NB: Never underestimate the power of stup1d people in large numbers.
Politics › Re: Ending Corruption In Nigeria-my View. by ba7man(m): 3:10pm On Dec 27, 2013
Reducing corruption drastically requires a leader that isn't afraid to die.

Nigeria is being run by gangsters that have been in power for so long, they won't give up without a fight and they have the resources to.

To deal with gangsters, you have to think like one so since they can be brutal with a threat to their source of livelihood, its best one goes up a notch higher in dealing with them.

A corrupt body luckily has a head, a leader that co-ordinates and inspires the whole body to be corrupt as well.

Locate that head and severe it.........just one target and the message will be sufficiently passed down to every nook and crany that corruption will no longer be tolerated.

Ok, they say Corruption is a "Hydra headed" monster but all those numerous heads have to meet at one point. Take out that point and all the heads die.

Who are the central point that need to be dealt with?? You have to be in the corridors power to know and have the integrity and will power not to end up being the monster you sought to destroy.

See the pix @Agbameta posted after your post.

Is there any road that looks like that in the S.E??

Instead of you to observe, learn and present a similar proposal to a company or the State Government in your region, you're here hating.
Politics › Re: How To Solve Nigeria's Rusted Roof Problem. by ba7man(m): 10:52am On Dec 25, 2013
Ikengawo: So cities i think shouldn't be touched like Abeokuta because the rust and the landscape mixed together well to give the city an odd beauty, but i can think of places from Lagos to onitcha to sokoto that really need a revamp

more nigerian cities are ugly for very simple reasons

1. adding too much water to your paint and thinking you're cheating anymore but yourself

2. roofs

3. electric wire everywhere

4. general consumer pollution and messiness

if these things were tackled most of Nigeria would look like Abuja. It's in fact the difference between most nigerian cities and Abuja.
Its a very good idea.

I'm very keen on urban renewal and this roof idea is definitely a cost effective way of improving building aesthetics.

If its pushed right will also be a money spinner.

Politics › Re: Why Power Outages Persist - Minister by ba7man(m): 7:48am On Dec 25, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: For me, the prime suspects are Tinubu, Buhari and their All Problems Congress. These people are desperate and capable of unimaginable evil.

And when their atrocities are exposed to Nigerians, they turn around and accuse the govt of looking for excuses. Where else in the world do citizens sabotage their own govt just to score cheap political points? Do Ghaninians sabotage their country by vandalizing gas pipelines?

So effectively, for GEJ to achieve anything in Nigeria he has to put in thrice or more as much efforts as the president of Ghana or other progressive nations. GEJ does not only have to work hard to provide facilities, he also has to work even harder to PROTECT the facilities. And all these because of political ambition of Tinubu and Buhari? Smh for Nigeria
This is not an intelligent reply from you. You're capable of better analysis.

Politics › Re: Amaechi Apologise To APC Leaders For Empty Stadium At The APC Rivers Launching. by ba7man(m): 1:04pm On Dec 24, 2013
Reptyle: Dunno about the empty stadium seats, but I watched the rally on Channels TV and I did see quite a respectable turnout of people at the stadium.

This picture could have been taken at anytime during the event....at the beginning, at the end or even a day before the event.

Also like someone else pointed out, seeing that the rally was put on a work day, it would be normal for there to be a low turn out.

Whether you like it or not, Amaechi has his loyal crowd in River State. I have visited Rivers 3 times this year and from my random sampling of opinions, the man is not as unpopular as y'all trying to paint him.
Same here. It was on repeat on Channels news and from what i saw, there was a large turn out.
Politics › Re: Rate/describe Jonathan's Reply To Obasanjo by ba7man(m): 9:36am On Dec 24, 2013
So with G.E.J's reply, what do you think would have happened if OBJ decided to reply him again??

It will only lead to public exchange of accusation letters. Its not only about what you do but how you do it.

If i was in G.E.j's shoes, I would grant an audience to OBJ in private for him to air-out any discord or misconceptions he has and also make sure they arrive at a logical conclusion to close his chapter.

GEJ is then supposed to organize a press release to refute (or confirm) those allegations to the public.

With the way GEJ has handled it, I don't think this is the last we've heard of OBJ, he's only gone ahead to wait for GEJ.
