KingOfNairaland: That's Ferrari Oga!Its a Lamborgini Murcielago. Ferraris don't have sissors doors. |
mens dept: Nigeria for you. ALways reacting when something bad happens. Can't you pass your comments without being insultive ![]() |
As a patriotic Nigerian.....I support the Saudi government's actions. Until we learn to obey laws and conduct ourselves anywhere we are we will keep gettin deported. If all this effort being made by the Nigerian Govt was directed at solving corruption this nation won't b where it is. Pls, does Allah reside in only Saudi-Arabia? |
Sometimes, when i read some comments on NL, I expect a full scale civil war when I leave my house but I only see Igbo, yoruba and Hausa livin together, doin biz nd not fightin lyk a lot of ppl do online. I think this war resides in their heads b'cos I'm yoruba nd I'm bout to go outside nd hang out with som of my neighbours that are from Anambra who just returnd from work. Some ppl are soooo filled with hate their lives must be miserable. |
DrummaBoy: Well your contributions have not helped me bc I drive an automatic and was told to save fuel and relieve the engine I should put my car gear in Neutral(N) when in hold up, especially if the hold up is elongated.I'v only tried it in manual cars but never in autos. |
This is a topic i love. Christianity is a religion in which its foundation is "LOVE". Trust me, if u see ppl doin evil things and they claim to be Christians, they are not following the bible and also Christians base their beliefs on the teachings of Christ. Our traditional religions were relions of "FEAR". Our ancestors worshiped things they didnt understand. THey see a large tree and instead of dominating it(to make tables and chairs) as the God of christianity commands, they worship it. They even worshippd chickenpox "sapona"(like how daft can you get?). Fear restricts discovery and thats why our societies were backwards doin all sorts of funny things when the white christians "dominated" the seas to get to our lands to "dominate" us with our backwards religions. |
Pls.....for once Nigerians should put down their tribal drums and rally behind credible people. That frame of thinking is backward and doesnt signify ppl that want true progress but bragging rights like "our son is in power". |
aasunmoh: A 2003 toyota tacomma truck.... A solid truck for ur architectural fieldsyeah, wish i had that. i'll definitely make a truck my second car. |
cretin: saves fuel if u shut the engine off..but then u will looose power steering...and also if ur car is 4 wheel drive...it damages the transmission.......coasting in neutral with the engine on...doesnt save fuel..its same as if its in drive n ur foot is off the acceleratorhow much fuel does a car burn when its in idle? By studying your rev counter you know how much fuel u'r using i.e the higher d needle the the more fuel you consume. till you accelerate in a coasting car, you are moving on gathered momentum with your engine in idle. you should neva switch off your engine while in motion....pls, so no one comes back and posts a thread saying "ba7man told us to coast with engines off nd i crashed". |
you dont demand respect and expect leadership roles to be handed over to you. you have to earn it and till we start voting in credible leaders based on merit,we're just fooling around int his country. frankly, i dont care if a sudanese or indian rules us as long as he's credible. |
That's good to hear. Had distant thots of upgrading to an early to mid 2000 model due to hondas and toyotas being toooooo common, I lyk a bit of individuality. Do u hav info on availability of parts on that particular type?? |
The Ford Mondeo is a good choice provided parts are affordable and available. And, hey its not as if cars break down everyday. U culd confirm its manufacture date on the lower part of seatbelt. It has a very good drive, almost like a BMW i hear. |
I love the Ford mondeo. Its actually the best car in its segment which includes Camrys, Accords and Passats. I'm not too sure bout the availabilty of its parts or costs. Honda accords and Toyota Camrys are the default choices in Nigeria due to availability of parts and durability. Another car I admire is the Golf IV. Manual gear(auto is problematic),4-door with a 1.6 liter engine. Once it runs smooth and the interior trim is neat, I'm good to go. At that price there are more options u culd still explore though. |
On the contrary, I belive the Nigerian economy can only get better b'cos there is an increase in awareness amongst the youth and they are turning away from seeking employment and creating their own businesses. I have a lot of personal examples and I'm also one. This emerging group of individuals have decided to to look away from the Government and look to the population to see which of their problems they can provide a solution. Where there are problems there are opportunities, ppl pay mony to hav their problems solved. This group will eventually form a middle class that has been lacking in this country. |
I get u. Its your budget that will determine your final choice in that case. |
nikaleyot: .Truely, Christianity has its violent pasts but it was able to sucessfully move away from it. That was probably in one distant century it all happnd. Christianity is constantly evolving using the understanding individuals unearth from the Bible. The summary of the Bible is "LOVE". America can attack an Islamic nation for its oil but never in the name of Christ. America doesn't represent Christian ideals. |
afam4eva: It's not just about how many jobs you've done because like i said, the money you get from freelancing is pocket money. You only start making a kill when you start thinking like a business man.So true. The business aspect is what will guarantee u real cash while your skill will only guarantee u clients.Read books on increasing your business knowledge, pray and work smart,it will surely happn. |
erico2k2: Hope you realize the car is in motion not idled or motionless, when you do you driving test, in teh Uk you will be advised not to do this(drive in the nutral position) cos what happens is that you dont have full control of your car there is such thing as Engine breaking, so driving withouth the engine being ebgaged put full stress on the break system.New cars now include a system that allows the clutch plate disconnect from the engine when u lift off the accelerator to avoid engine breaking which slows the car down. This allows you coast in the car which is the "Freeing" that's bin done for so long over here. |
onyxo76: i have observed that a lot of drivers particularly commercial bus drivers often "free wheel" their vehicles especially on slopes and hills. does this method actually conserve petrol?During the recent fuel price hike, I became an xpert in that mode of driving. Its best done by accelerating to an adequate speed(Mostly uphill)then putting the gear in neutral(likely downhill) with the clutch pedal depressed to disconnect the clutch from the engine. Study the road ahead nd ur speed to determine the best gear to slot it in on re-engagement. If done right, your progression remains smooth. |
danny devito: Really need advise on best choice, preferably not a toyota carI'm also an architect nd I drive a Honda babyboy but I'v been in a lot of situations that I wished I had a pick-up truck but I figure an SUV is the ideal middle ground. I was goin to say "Toyota!!!" For either a car or pick-up b'cos they're peerless when it comes to durability and maintainance ( Not necessarily drivin pleasure ) but u culd try Nissan SUVs lyk Xterra if that's your taste. |
A lot of sucessful ppl were once in your shoes. U just hav to get better at what you're doin till d big break comes. All the best. |
Kaki P: Haters Suck Cork, like it or not D'Banj is not in the regular nigerian artiste level.U gotta admit it, he's dressing's dapper. |
fagamite: DUde, its better to be a slave in America than be a king in Nigeria. True talk. There is nothing going on in Nigeria, America on the other hand is just out of this worldWhat a statement...It reveals a lot bout who u are. |
ITbomb: U think so ?Hmmmmm....u guys are right on dat one. A fatwa would probably have been declared on my head. |
mvwealth: dont use d name of d lord in vainC'mon don't be so stiff. Its a joke not a real life story. |
A Nigerian pilgrim in Israel runs into an Igbo man sellin a pile of skulls. "Skull for sale!!! No more 500 shekels, now 200!!!". He walks up to the Igbo man and asks who's skulls they are. He replies "This on na Moses own, that big one na Samson own and dat one wey dey inside box na our Lord Jesus Christ own". The Nigerian pilgrim spots a small one and asks for the cost. The Igbo man replies "Na dat one cost pass...Na the skull of our Lord Jesus Christ own when him b small boy". |
Soooo wrong, deserves to b whippd so when next she sees hot water nd a maid in d same place nd same time she'll remember how bad she got it. |
