infogenius: Ovulation test is essentially to determine if during a particular you ovulated.You can run such test at home using OPK or the saliva test.Hormonal assay done on cd21 will be able to show if you ovulated during the cycle.

uncle u: At 41, the ovarian function might not be optimal like say when you were 25, but if you are still ovulating then you should be able to concieve if every other thing is alright. You must see your gynaecologist immediately. He must confirm if you are ovulating by doing an ovulation test because you might not be ovulating even with a regular menstrual cycle. He will also need to do a tubal patency test and a semen analysis for your partner. Your management need to be aggressive because of yor age. I wish you the best.

i also want to say that my sister in-law whose been trying to conceive for close to 5 years now just had a baby boy on thursday 12th of january 2012.

My sister age is number,take care of yourself by eating healthy food.
i can identity with the sticky mucous l had it in the past. it doesnt mean you no longer ovulate, it means you are not producing fertile mucous that will aid conception.
my 10 cent tips are:
take lots of water from C1 to O
take low dose Vitamin C (100 m.g) from C1 - O
take pure green tea from c1 - O
use Preseed during BD in ur O period.

Thank u Nwannem, may God hear u & all TTC mothers in this forum, am bless with ur advise as i have stared immediately no wasting time, wanted to go 4 HSG but not sure if i can withstand d pains, so decided to purchase felopio tampon which i found through google, i see the particle during flushing as stated by Maria the owner of the product. Lot of baby dust to all of us.

I also have high prolactin,my last test showed almost 1300
However,i have my periods every month,i am just not sure i ovulate and i cannot even pinpoint the ovulation since my period swings days.
I got tired of using the opk sef and dropped it entirely.Started bbt charting on fertility friend..well guess what?I had the thermal shift on CD 27,lol.I was only looking out for Ov at least CD 18-22 highest so you can imagine my shock..
Unfortunately even if i Ovulated,i don't think i BD on the so called fertile days...Can u imagine?/After serious bd non stop from day 16-22,and almost fainting from exhaustion,even to the extent of DH eyes shining with fear when he sees me approaching,lol(just exaggerating)..
I feel so sad..infact i'm still waiting for an appointment to be fixed for me with the endocrinologist,i just want treatment sharpish,don't want to go through all the investigations again jare..all them magnetic rays and co..

If you have same issues as me,have you gotten the treatment for high prolactin?How did it go?
