You only see the altima abandoned at the mechanic workshop. If u see an accord on the road with pulled legs, they are fixed within one or two hours. When u knew all these theories why bring your issues here. pls use your car and enjoy it, dont mind 'we' bad belle people.

My brother, are you an electrician or mechanic. I think you have lots of experience about Toyota Engine, what you said was exactly what really happened. The mechanic contulted his friend whom is a mechanic/electrian and was able to correct the error. I was there with them so I couldn't check back on this post to see your input on time. Nairaland is a house that contains the Good, the Bad and the Urgly, daily challenges make me know more about this wonderful house.

Lazy or lag while climbing hills.
It shoots when i revv the engine at stationary.
slow response to throttle even at pick up.
then i notice the RPM has not gone beyond 3000

Good evening Gazzuzz and other gurus. I recently changed my civic 97 engine. The new engine runs fairly ok.
At stationary, if i rev the engine there is shoot, pa pa at the exhaust which is common to commercial buses, at this point the idle will come down and get to normal later.
I also sometimes notice a kind of foul smell in the cabin while the car is in motion.
Lastly, it is kind of lazy while climbing hill.
Kindly help. I never had these issues with the old engine, i changed the engine due to recurrent crankshaft pulley problem.

Tell the house your budget for power supply. Trust me 'money is problem' when u are talking inverter and solar. You may need close to a million naira to power those things with solar and inverter set up.

If the transplant can be done in Nigeria, then come back home.

Why would i be travelling with my wife and still carry passenger. Not even one, three!

If u MUST buy a car, look within Nigeria. Not all Niger used cars are bad. Those Cotonou dealers can lie, the moment u commit ur money story will change. Talk to GAZZUZ, or any other reliable mechanic to inspect cars for u.
