Hi Guys, just in a bit of a panic here. I have just bought a return KLM ticket for my parents to UK only to discover they require a transit visa. Alongside their UK visit visa, they have valid Schengen visas but not a Transit Visa, Can someone kindly confirm they are able to use the Schengen? Do we still need to apply for an Air transit visa? Many thanks in advance |
Toks2008:Matters of the heart, as with all spiritual things. What leads on you to masturbation? You don't just flip the switch and say I want to masturbate, the actual act is physical manifestation of what had already been concluded in your heart. So the lust already set in, you've pondered on the lust and you've agreed the only way to achieve this is via masturbation. Now that's sin, mate; not to even talk about the sin against your body. Saying this isn't sin is itself heretic. We all need to rely on the holy spirit for strength to overcome this habits. |

MamaTheMama:Many thanks for this reply @MamaTheMama Really appreciate this. Sis has gotten her IELTS UKVI result with an overall score of 7.0. The conditional offer of employment she got states she needs overall score of 7.0. However, she has 6.0 in writing. Can anyone advise if this is acceptable with NMC? Going by what they have on their website they specified at least 6.5 in writing. |
Hi guys, Kudos to a good job here I'm in for some advice. My sis has just got a conditional offer from an NHS trust after an interview. I want to understand the processes involved for NMC registration. She has RN/RW from a SON and midwifery and also a BSC in Nursing. She is planning to sit for IELTS UKVI Academic now, I've also sent her a link to the NMC CBT links from Barbie. Are NHS/Uk agencies okay with just passing the CBT? I understand you have have to do the final OSCE when you are on ground. Where/how does NMCN comes in? Apologies if this is a "should know" answer. Has anyone recently migrated to the UK here that can assist? Many thanks |
Hi Everyone, Just trying to put in online app for my Dad. How do I answer "How much money are you planning to spend on your visit?" he is not spending any amount on the trip as he's been sponsored. Should I put in the same amount the sponsor is willing to spend in this column? |
Hello Everyone, I'm trying to invite my dad over to the UK for 2 months, I'll be sponsoring his trip as he's retired. He has previously visited the UK but was denied US visit visa a couple of years ago. Can you guys help clarify the points below? - I have £2k in a savings acct and will send my savings bank statement to him, unable to send my current acct as I don't leave money there. Is it advisable to state I'll be supporting his trip in the range of £1500-£2000 as this means I'm ready to use all the money in the savings acct, do you reckon the eco won't find an issue with this? - is £2k enough for 2 months? - I transferred about 200k into his savings late June, thinking of printing his statement after that transaction so we don't have to explain source or do I need to add a note that I transferred this to him? - I'll state in the invitation letter that he currently lives with my Mum and 2 of my siblings with their Children lives in the same city with him and they are planning his 69th birthday upon his return. home country ties? - Documents from me - Bank Statement - SU07 sponsorship declaration if required, can someone confirm if this is required? - BRP & Data Page - Invitation letter confirming sponsorship, accommodation. This will also indicate he's been in UK previously and he didn't break any immigration laws - 3 months payslip - Documents from Dad - Pension docs, retirement letter - 6 months Bank statement where pension is paid into monthly (no money in this acct) - 2/3 months - Savings bank statement with about 200k in it. Do I need to add anything to the above docs? Many thanks!!!!! |

Hi Guys, Applied for credential assessment with WES few weeks back. My undergrad with Lautech and a UK masters. Transcript for my masters has been received by WES. Yet to figure out how to sort out transcript for my undergrad in Nigeria considering the school has been on strike for some time now. 1.) Can anyone kindly confirm if only my masters is suitable for application and does it have any impact on my score? 2.) Is there a way I can have WES delete credentials for my undergrad as they are still expecting docs in that regard. Thanks . |
Many thanks Hajj!! mufutau55: |
Hi @HsLBroker, Hajj @mufutau55 many thanks for your contribution on this property section and @HsLBroker for sharing this great piece. This is my first time getting a property (land was bought on my behalf as I wasn't on ground) and thinking of fencing the land. Please see attached survey plan for a piece of land in Ibadan. 1.) Can you kindly advise how many plots are in the survey? 2.) I got a quote for fence advising 2500 blocks for 5 coaches for this land. Going by your calculation I have calculated total number of blocks for 9 coaches to be 2332 blocks (gate, pillars removed). 3.) 9 inches or 6 inches block for fence 4.) Also, is it advisable to mould the blocks or buy them ? Many thanks for your response |
Larrydamsel:Hi Larrydamsel, can you confirm how long it took Lautech to process via the link you posted and did it get to wes without issues? And thanks for the link, I've been thinking of ways to get my transcript from Lautech considering they are on strike. I requested my transcript from a UK uni last week, it was processed and posted out to WES same day....wondering when our unis will be that efficient ![]() |

advocate666: We are not talking of anybody's daughter here.Still trying to figure out why some clueless Nigerians love to "Throw out the baby with the bath water". Here is a sis who has not only identified a problem but also proffering a solution while taking on the best minds to ensure the success of her idea, yet all some brainless Lilliputian's' can do here is to term it begging and still tarnish the family's image....smh for hopeless peeps sha. Has your poor mind (at her age) been able to conceive or identify JUST ONE problem that needs to be solved not alone provide a solution or you are still waiting on the Nigerian govt as most people do? El-rufai wasn't wrong after-all, some have been able to overcome the laziness of reading/watching but the immediate hurdle is been able to reflect or what has been read or seen. |

KateSpade: "I met someone about a two months ago. I've never felt so comfortable so quickly around another man as I do this man. Usually I am pretty shy and standoff-ish but with him things flow so easily. I certainly didn't expect to be attracted to someone because the only reason I met him is through work. However, I have a bf, I havent done anything but talk to this other guy but still I want to know. Has anyone ever left a relationship for someone else or just to try dating someone else and then regretted it later? And what were your reasons to do so? I could just be feeling this way because I'm currently in a long distance, but this other guy and I seem to have so much more in common and he would gel with my family and friends so easily'. https://www.nairaland.com/939369/regrets There's no smoke without fire. |
The US ambassador to Libya was killed by local militia in an attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Reuters quoted Libyan official as saying. US embassy in Libya has not yet commented on the report. J. Christopher Stevens and three other consulate employees were reportedly killed on Tuesday during clashes between armed militia members and army soldiers, as a mob stormed the compound. The ambassador allegedly died of suffocation in the fire, BBC reports. US State Department neither confirmed nor denied the death of its ambassador. The US diplomatic facility in eastern Libya was evacuated following violent clashes, and an enraged crowd of militia members stormed the building and set it on fire. The violence was part of a protest against an American amateur film “Innocence of Muslims” deemed offensive to the Prophet Muhammad. A similar incident took place in Cairo, Egypt’s capital. The film was produced by a US-based group that includes Terry Jones, a Christian pastor involved in a Koran-burning scandal that triggered mass protests in Afghanistan. On the anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, he released a video promoting the film that portrays the Prophet in a "satirical" manner, according to Jones. John Christopher Stevens was born in northern California in 1960. He was first sent to Libya in June 2007 as deputy chief of the country’s US mission. He served as chargé d’affaires at the Tripoli embassy until 2009.Stevens came to Libya for a second time in April 2011, arriving on a cargo ship. The US government sent him to rebel headquarters in Benghazi to serve as a special representative to the Libyan National Transitional Council. In March 2012, Stevens was named America’s ambassador to Libya. Source: https://rt.com/news/us-ambassador-libya-killed-946/

Hey Does this song ring a bell? Daddy I’ve fallen for a monster Somehow he’s scaring me to death Ah yes he is He’s big and he’s bad I love him like mad Mamma he’s the best I ever had Daddy I’ve fallen for a monster He got a black heart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDpK0fnuwhg You made me remember my sister, she got preg for the her so-called guy cos the family was against their relationship and she felt the only solution was to get preg anyways, a "save=the=shame" marriage was arranged cos no options for abortion ( strict/religious parents). A year afterwards she is out of the marriage and dude got another wifey. she obviously was clouded in some unreasonable love then. See babes, I wouldn't advise you go for abortion, you are just 15 for heaven sake. have the baby with the support of your family, sure they will flare up initially but they wont leave you to carry the burden alone since there are better chances your Mr. Love might not be around ( )......life goes on.btw.......the rate at which these young girls develop features are tempting o |
