The irony of it is that the OP sarrki does not even live in Nigeria, so I don't know what gives him the moral right to talk when he's not feeling the impact.

I support the border closure but it should have been done AFTER adequate measures had been put in place but our non-thinking government as usual never brings out well thought out policies.
My thoughts exactly

Abeg rest. Your analogy makes no sense. If they are multi-national, then they are in those countries u speak as well. Besides, our sea and airports are open for business. U must not use land
Not all of them have factories in those countries. Some goods are manufactured here and transported to neighbouring West African countries
They use land because of the cost of going through the Sea port and also the time factor It is faster and easier to transport small quantity of goods through the road than seaport or airport

Hogwash trash! Nigeria is the biggest market in Africa. Don't even go there. No company can ever complain of lack of customers pls
Lool. Bros I'm not talking about private companies in Nigeria. Ask anybody in a multinational company around you
Unless you're saying, we should only have indigenous companies in Nigeria
TravelRe: Trucks Stuck At The End Of Seme Border (Photos) by Babaalata: 9:46pm On Oct 13, 2019
My concern is not of Rice in particular but for companies in Nigeria exporting their produce to neighbouring West African countries.
The border closure is really affecting the activities of these companies, they can't sell their goods and very soon, they'll begin to downsize thus adding to the already saturated labour market..

Best so far
Thanks bro. I have friends that graduated with 2.2 and are big boys now.
EducationRe: Is A 2.2 A Bad Grade For A Graduate? by Babaalata:
Oga don't depend on grade o, do your best to come out with good grades but if you can't don't let it be a stumbling block to your advancement.
Don't limit yourself
It can only be bad grade if all your life is dependent on academic records.
Everybody cannot make First Class, the reason we have 2.1,2.2 and third class.

where is the local rice. Still haven’t understand why something will be produced up there will be cheaper than what we produce here
Exactly my points bro. If a locally produced bag of rice is sold for 7-10k, I'm sure people would start buying them. But you'll see a local bag of rice been sold for 14k and foreign rice for 19k with better quality

No you haven't said to much.

No vex.
I'm sorry for the way I reacted boss, I know the closure is for the betterment of Nigeria. I just wished some infrastructures could be put in place before the closure. Peace

Commentor:
You spoke about regrets about made in Nigerian product and suddenly feel sensitive about someone ostensibly putting you down.

huh
Rice production is the focus here, not all Nigerian made products. My point is, our local rice farmers should be able to compete in terms of Quality with their foreign based counterparts and to do so, the right environment should be provided by the government. Have I said too much?
PoliticsRe: Border Closure: Rice Smugglers Divert To Pineapples by Babaalata: 10:59am On Oct 12, 2019
Commentor:
The countries from where these produce come from have first class roads right?

Please don't even suggest they do.

By the way, if you say I would regret buying our local rice I would extend it to say a foreigner should not patronize your services as an individual because it would be inferior.

Sometimes I wonder if you people think before writing.
Excuse me! You don't have to insult me to drive in your points. Tackle what I've said, not telling me I don't think before writing!

PoliticsRe: Border Closure: Rice Smugglers Divert To Pineapples by Babaalata: 5:34am On Oct 12, 2019
You closed land borders with the aim of promoting local production which is a laudable development but have you provided the enabling environment for farmers to compete with their foreign rice planters. Buy a Nigerian made rice and you'll regret.
The government should provide good roads, electricity, fertilizers, incentives and watch smuggling reduce to the bearest minimum.

The retirement age for civil servants is 60years or 35years in Service. Baba should be resting and enjoying his retirement by now. I wonder what they want an 80 something year old President to achieve in third term.

Same way we all waited for the first term to end but where still bundled into a 2nd term.

There is no smoke without fire ...besides now that all the 3arms of government have been merged into one. who would actually stop or resist it?

Lets stop decieving ourselves that we are still in a democratic era.. we all know that Nigeria is not practicing democracy presently ..so anything is possible.

lastly please. .who did we elect to rule us in Nigeria ,A PRESIDENT or THE PRESIDENCY?
You're right about that, we are no longer in democracy. The Cabal is The Presidency
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Third Term Bid: Presidency Debunks Rumors by Babaalata: 7:17am On Oct 02, 2019
Abeg who are those clamouring for Baba's third term? The problem with Naija is that once you have small money or power you refuse feedback, instead of giving baba the right feedback, some ignoramus are there praise singing incompetence. Only those gaining from the ineptitude of this administration are in support of a third term.
