modath: Shy, I used to believe Niger Delta was deliberately being shafted till 2 people gave me two accounts of events they personally witnessed..
1. A friend works for a firm who as part of their CSR were to build a block of classrooms for elementary school kids for that community so the little ones won't have to walk far, He said they refused on grounds that the elders claimed their own children were too grown for primary school and the youth said they didn't have kids that will "enjoy" at the particular moment, Shy, they all decided to share the money and that was that...
2. My Sis lives in PH and is doing her PG studies in the state university, She told me of how one of her associates married to a local ppolitician told her of how a crowd insisted they'd rather take the cash for a road rehab as their immediate problem is cash in their pocket, that they can "manage" the road...
When they do dat at We know there is poverty in land, but is there no thought for anything but the present?....
I live for the day SW will be free to decide it's own pace, and prosperity but i want it achieved with minimal SW collateral damage...
However, some people introduced Unitary system, and also endorsed the mindless looting we experienced in the recent past, things now hard and they want out?? Selfish selfish, we will all "enjoy" the "good times" .. those ones too far self.. .. what excuse on earth n in heaven has GEJ not to implement UNEP report? or establish just a refrinery ? or what reasons can sunny kuku had to steal NDDC funds meant for ND youths? |
Politics › Re: We Must Renegotiate Our Union To Make It Strong -- Atiku by Babacele: 9:02pm On May 31, 2016 |
omenka: Watch it- the Lost Children of Uganda will forget he's an "illiterate gworo chewing almajiri raising Abok! from the North" and agree hook line and sinker with every alphabet of the words he's uttered, because in their little minds, this is a statement critical of FG and by extension Buhari.
We've always been pro true federalism and resource control because it is indeed a panacea to the myriad of problems buffeting our nascent democracy/economy since independence. Let the FG control the Army, protecting our sovereignty, while the economy is principally controlled by the states. That is what we have always wanted. But what we would always be against is some group of persons trying to blackmail/intimidate the FG into doing their bidding regardless of its propriety.
When people like Atiku start making statements like this, I tend to get very suspicious because he's occupied such position as to have greatly influenced the FG into taking serious steps towards the realisation of this lofty aspiration- what stopped him from doing so back then?? Would he do the same if he becomes the president tomorrow?? Hell, is this statement meant to warm him up to some people given that PDP has zoned their party's ticket to the North?? Is he being truly altruistic or cunning??
Only time will tell. I used to trust Atiku. |

omenka: Everyone with a brain knows that nonsense was the handiwork of some miserable Ugandans intent on driving a wedge between Rochas and his party hierarchy. They see him as a stumbling block to the realisation of their sinister aspirations and would do anything to bring him down.
Another case in point was their spamming of the forum with one useless story about Rochas calling Baba an "old man in public". Now, is Baba not an old man?? What is wrong in calling him so?? Or should he have referred to Baba as a "young man"??
Bunch of miserable Uganda citizens. their plan is dead on arrival. while the sponsors of that thrash lack the vision and foresight to plan for the future due to their wicked sins but Rochas who is far ahead in thoughts and love for Nigeria n d Igbo race saw the futility in staying put in a dead n rotten party like the PDP , and so he left for the new change. Jealous of this wonderful move and the most probable possibility of Rochas becoming the next President of the federal republic of Nigeria, these rogues decide to play the game of all hate - filled jealous persons but they have failed n put us on early notice. tempest01: From the video I watched on channels, I think he made commits about IGR...adding it up, it wasn't enough. Let's pick the positives from his statement and stop the banter due to party affiliation. He said "governments should not be allowed to borrow beyond their tenure". Imagine having high allocations and still having high debts. These former governors mortgaged our future. we should forget that : 1.Fayemi left a culture of N400m monthly IGR n Fayose says his own Monthly IGR is N150m without any cogent reason? 2. We should forget that several billions of naira being owed Fayemi's admin by GEJ was given to Fayose when he just came in; 3. We should forget that Fayose has reduced the workforce he inherited , stopped several social stipends that Fayemi introduced ; 4. we should forget that Buhari gave him bailout? 5. we should forget that Fayose wastes Ekiti money on busybody nonsense like the infamous China trip? 6. we should forget that Fayose is clearly stealing Ekiti 's money n keeping it in Dubai? we should forget...... |
Politics › Re: Fayose Promises To Pay Workers Who Are Not On strike by Babacele: 3:12am On May 30, 2016 |
modath: Baba, once you take out Ado, Ikere, Ifaki Ido (FMC is basically the only thing there) you need to understand that Ekiti is more of small villages and towns, it is easy to spread propaganda in those small towns.
Fayemi did 2 things that the average Ekiti small towners & villagers considered sacrilege.
1. Competency tests for teachers in the subjects that they teach, eg, A government teacher was asked to attempt the same SSCE that SS3 student would, a good majority flunked and were demoted.
2. Construction work was given to real professionals that are not of Ekiti stock which is a faux pas, the usual practice was to give party cronies of Ekiti stock who will then "redistribute" to sub contractors...
I have a feeling these people who got the jobs were party cronies but they were not shuns of the shoil so the initial brouhaha and seed of discord started from their party which was why MOB threw his hat in the ring thinking APC will queue behind him but they stuck with Fayemi.( Baba dis na long tory for another day)
Baba, Fayemi would have lost but the margin was deliberately manipulated in favour of loud mouth with a plan to spring a repeat in Osun but we all know how that story went.. hmmm ,but Fayemi told the incompetent teachers that he was interested in retraining them n not in demoting nor sacking anyone because his parents n himself are teachers but the thugnor's Satanic propaganda n heavy bribery, remember the Obanikoro's $37m from GEJ, had taken root and would have boosted thugnor's chances but not enough .....but u have said it all : the election was rigged. Of course so many lessons ( MOB/Fayemi's, Fayose/Fayemi, and now Ekiti/Fayose ) Ekiti was actually used to copy PDP's rigging fomular to design an antidote against it which was used in Osun. The Osun story is for another day. If thugnor's style go work for Mimiko come November, we shall see. |

modath: Topsam1, Thanks for this, I am just tired of the guy, he has turned out to be a major error...
I have my fingers on the pulse of what I hear from them is worse than the complaints I heard during the Fayemi days... if they hated Fayemi's elitist policies, they hope that the ground opens suddenly & swallows up Fayose... He has used up all his goodwill... holy Jesus! you know that a dead Fayemi with his 'elitist' policies couldn't have lost to thugnor if IB hadn't rigged for him....ekitigate tape n d dismissal of General Momoh are heavy enough evidences . 1. Is paying elderly folks a monthly stipend an elitist project? 2. or holding community needs assessment for the people to contribute to how they are governed and consequently subsequently implementing the plans therefrom an elitist approach? 3 . or the rural allowance Fayemi paid to teachers posted to far rural communities in ekiti also elitist? and several other beautiful program that an uncultured brute like Fayose lacks the intelligence and character to sustain? The bitter truth is that Ekiti was forced into a marriage of inconvenience after being raped by a supposed suitor......I'm cock sure the people would free themselves now that the scales re falling off their eyes: how and when is what I don't know. |
