And how will this your statement bring an end to this menace? We cant continue to entertain attacks and reprisal attacks and still believe we will live to see tomorrow, this is about to become a full blown war. victorvezx: The fulanis where the ones that stared this crisis. They used their cows to destroy farmers crops in that region, in retaliation, the farmers killed some of their cows, but the fulanis in total disregard for life, went to kill the people. So that was what sparked the violence. The fulanis where the aggressors |

And left devastation in its wake
Nay, I am not afraid of that storm

Has anyone been able to confirm if indeed there was a replacement list and that they have resumed?
Replacements could cut across GT to Directors so indirectly it affects all.

If you don't know, there are hundreds out there that are from your state who are not on nairaland. And moreover, unlike many years ago, there is no state now that competition is not stiff..
May God in his infinite mercy favour us.. Amen dont mind them, let them keep calcukating till APL show. |

Onyiridike: You are right. My guess is that the Aptitude test is given more priority because the interview was very simple for many candidates and some questions just required a Yes /No answer. Also on average, I don't think the questions were more than 10. How can it carry more weight than 45 hot questions? i dont think test will carry more weight than interview, normally test is used in some occasions to reduce the number of applicants for interview. but in this case i think both CBT and interview scores will be used to assess the candidate overall performance. |

nigerianonym: And the interviewers in PH wanted to kill us. My questions: How do you measure energy? Wasn't very clear to me, so I answered wrongly. Later I realised he was talking of gas, which I believe is measured in cubic feet.
I was asked basic thermodynamics questions on adiabatic process and other stuff . I simply, honestly answered I don't know. Didnt want to guess and fumble.
Then rate of heat flow through a cylinder and sphere, are they the same? Answered correctly, NO!
Give 2 examples each of High distillate, intermediate distillate and light distillate. Answered partially correctly. One of the interviewers helped me complete the intermediate distillate, that's why I said partially.
Governor of Zamfara State: I froze. Couldn't remember. Governor of Kano state: answered correctly. They wanted first name and surname. I was dropping surnames only. Then they asked for Gov of Lagos' first name, I couldn't remember. I apologised for being nervous. And truly I was nervous. Chief Justice of the Federation. Couldn't remember.
Leaders of house of reps and their deputies. I answered correctly.
I was asked to name six people my job affects on the rig (I'm a drilling fluids engineer), so I answered correctly.
They asked some questions on drilling fluids. They started lecturing me on how thermodynamics applies to Drilling fluids engineering. I listened keenly and was receptive, so they know I'm teachable.
They asked what's common to the North East, Niger Delta and South East. I guess it's Barite. Didn't want to guess. I honestly answered I dunno to some questions.
I was bombarded with questions.
They also asked how many states I've lived in. Mentioned quite a lot.
PH interviewers weren't smiling.
P.S. I'm a Chemical Engineering applicant with experience in Drilling Fluids Engineering (which is a subset of Petroleum Engineering). I tried to steer them to my comfort zone, but they kept it CHEM ENG! i am a mechanical engineering applicant GT, i was just plain lucky, what i observed is that the two men in the interview panel one asked me current affairs questions while the other asked me technical questions. the man asking me technical questions was reading out the questions from his system, like pool of questions pretyped in his system, he read the first question 1. is cast iron a brittle material? i answered yes i now went into details why cast iron is a brittle material and the carbon content of cast iron. 2. between petrol, kerozine and diesel which is more volatile, i answered petrol, i couldnt remember the third question but its a basic engineering question. the current affairs man also asked me 1. who is senate president of FRN, i answered Dr. bukola saraki, 2. how many geopolitical zones do we have and name them, i answered 6. and i named them. Do you have any question for us, i have already jotted down few questions, i asked them 'what is a typical day for a mechanical engineer at DPR? then we went into discussion bla bla bla. the first guy looked at me and asked me "you this boys from far north, you dont like going to the south to work, if we employ you and post you to south you will start complaining, i hope you are not that type. i smiled and said i dont mind being posted to the middle of nowhere so far its DPR, they all laughed and wished me luck. its all luck, had it been he read some tough questions, the tune wud have changed. may God help us |
