This is the height of it all. This man is seen comfortably sitting inside the engine bay of this commercial 1993 Volkswagen Eurovan.
This is totally wrong at all levels.

First of all, he’s impairing the vision of the bus driver; the bonnet is up. That alone has ended putting all the lives of the occupant in danger.
Secondly, does it mean he’s not feeling the heat from the engine bay?

What if the driver should slam the brakes in reaction to an impeding danger? That guy might not live to tell his stories. Even if he does, he won’t remain the same.

That’s highway for crying out load and not a lonely street of Lagos.

I hope you know we have some of your secondary school classmates who might have become a roadside mechanic or doing menial jobs just to survive. Some of them would even be happy having what you had. We do not journey through life with the same speed.

Clean the front of the condenser: The debris that builds up between the fins can really raise the head pressures, and that not only affects performance but can cause slipping of a clutch if voltage is marginal. If a vehicle is an underbody breather, raise it on a lift and look underneath. If there’s through-the-grille breathing, look between the grille bars with a flashlight. Note that you may have to remove the grille for access. If there’s a gap between the condenser and radiator, it may have a road-film buildup between the parts, and washing that out can be very helpful.

See if both service valve caps are installed: They’re the primary seals and an SAE standard specifies that the caps be tethered to the service valve. In the meantime, everything out there doesn’t have the tethers, so look and replace. If it’s a vehicle with airflow seals, make sure they’re not missing, and that the shroud is secured...
