embarassed embarassed I'm writing this post with a heavy heart

So I'm 21 and I finished secondary school at age 17 (2015) and to be honest I just got admission this year to study pharmacy while my mates are in their final year and it hurts alot because my mum keeps telling me that my cousin is in final year and is about serving next year and I'm just gaining admission to a university, she even uses her friend's child as an example and it made me go into a Little depression, I actually felt sad because for the first time a comparison actually hit me...

She claims they (my parents)are supposed to be resting and not paying school fee. That I'm stressing them and ever since I was a teenager I always vowed that I wanted to leave my father house before 25yrs of age

Now I'm studying a 5 years course (7 years to become a full graduate) and by then I'll be 28 I actually feel ashamed because this isn't what I wanted since I left secondary school
I wanted to finish on time and remove the burden from them

I've never failed jamb, my least Score was 245 but circumstances kept dragging me back

I finished my ND program in 2017 (Distinction in SLT Yabatech)

So it feels more like I'm parambulating up and down and don't know what I want for my self but I actually do!!

I need an advice or something to make me feel better or confident about my self sad
Don't b depressed bro, I graduated at 27 bt today..... presently on PhD n my parents on my payroll.

HealthRe: Causes Of Mouth Odour And How To Naturally Get Rid Of It. by babalonimi: 9:46am On Aug 27, 2019
MGab25:
By The WebPamphlet

Mouth odour is mostly caused by a condition called wite tongue. A normal tongue is meant to be red in colour, so if your tongue has a different colour, then there obviously is a problem. The tongue is covered with papillae – small nodules on the tongue that give it a rough texture.

When food debris, bacteria and dead cells become lodged between inflamed papillae, white tongue occurs. It’s usually harmless and temporary, but it can also be an indication of an infection or a serious condition.

The most common cause of white tongue is dehydration. A dry mouth is a breeding ground for anaerobic bacteria. Brushing your teeth and tongue less than twice a day increases your risk of developing white tongue. It can also be caused by an overgrowth of candida, which is a fungus that causes yeast infections or oral thrush.

Candida often lives inside the mouth. The problem arises when it accumulates. It can spread to the roof of the mouth, the gums, tongue, tonsils and the back of the throat. This creates white tongue, lesions, redness and even bleeding.

White tongue that cannot be scraped off and doesn’t go away after using anti-fungal treatments may be the result of a more serious condition. A white tongue accompanied by a sore throat may be symptoms of strep throat. White tongue can be caused by any of these factors:

1. Dehydration
2. Poor oral hygiene
3. Illness or infection
4. Dry mouth
5. Fever
6. Reaction to certain medications, such as antibiotics or steroids
7. Candida yeast infection (oral thrush)
8. Smoking or tobacco use
9. Alcohol use
10. Spicy food such as habanero and jalepeno peppers
11. Congenital heart disease in adults

Natural Treatment for white tongue:
1. Baking Soda:

Baking soda is able to exfoliate the tongue, removing any residue that causes white tongue. It also helps maintain good pH levels in the mouth by neutralizing acids. Simply mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with lemon juice until it creates a paste. Add the mixture to your toothbrush, then brush your tongue and mouth.

2. Coconut Oil Pulling

Coconut oil pulling is a great way to remove bacteria from the mouth. Research has shown it to be just as effective as mouthwash at improving bad breath and reducing the microorganisms that can cause bacteria buildup in the mouth. Swish 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth for 10-20 minutes then spit it out in the trash. Rinse your mouth with warm water then brush your teeth as usual.

3. Sea Salt:

Thanks to the natural antibacterial properties of sea salt, gargling can help eliminate bacteria in the mouth that causes white tongue. The coarse texture of sea salt also works as an exfoliate. Combine sea salt and water to create a mouthwash. Use the mouthwash, then brush your teeth and tongue with the sea salt.

4. Aloe Vera Juice

Aloe Vera has natural antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s commonly used to heal infections and treat burns. It can be used to remove dead cells and destroy bacteria in the mouth. Swish 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera juice in your mouth 2-3 times daily until the coating his disappeared.

5. Probiotics

Oral thrush and white tongue can be caused by an imbalance of healthy bacteria in your gut. Eating probiotic foods helps to balance your bacteria and treat health conditions related to candida. Probiotic foods include, unsweetened yogurt, dark chocolate, cheese, pickles etc

Sir Dr. Emeka Offor was in Daura Kastina State to inspect the ongoing renovation and furnishing of Waziri Alhassan public library in Daura Kastina State which is 98% completed. The Governor of Kastina State, Aminu Bello Masari was also on sight to inspect the life impacting project.

The Waziri Alhassan library Daura is wearing a new look, tastefully renovated and modernized with its shelves fully stacked with qualitative, educative and informative books. Computers were also supplied and fully installed along with a standby generator and borehole. The renovation, furnishing and computerizing of the library came courtesy of Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) as part of its educational intervention program in Africa. Sir Emeka Offor Foundation has given out books and computers worth over 22 million dollars to primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria and 18 other African countries through its book distribution program. Other educational institutions in Kastina state had benefitted hugely from SEOF’s book distribution program in the past.

CareerRe: My Heart Felt Message To GRADUATES Teaching In Private Primary/secondary Schoo by babalonimi: 8:50pm On Jul 28, 2019
SirWhiteFish:
I looked back at the beginning of this year, precisely 14th January 2019 when I started working at a private primary school. Three weeks later, I was told that I had to be taking two primary five students extra lessons after closing (3pm), and the pay was 1k each. With my monthly salary which was 13,000 added to the "1k" each makes 15 thousand.

You would think I earned 13k for three months abi! No I didn't. The first salary I got was the half of 13k. The woman just called the staff on the 28th of January and gave me 6.5k. I had no idea what was going on and I thought she was going to balance up at the beginning of February just like she said while addressing us but it was a lie. it was at the end of the term, the third month April, that I got to know I am being ripped off. She said she was going to pay 5000 naira at the end of the term as salary because school opened for just 10 days. It was the greatest shock of my life. A graduate, a grown up man like me, taking 5000 naira home!!
I wanted to leave but I couldn't because I wouldn't be paid for the common entrance lesson and I had not gotten any other opportunities elsewhere.

Sometimes in early February, She called me that I would be handling primary 5 Common entrance lessons which is meant to hold every Saturday and at the end of the third term the money will be shared between Me, a staff that partners me and the proprietress. She said the money will be shared 60%(I and another man) to 40%(the proprietress). The formula was very unfair and strange to me. The sharing formula seemed very strange to me and I challenged it but she enforced it.

Fast forward to early this month, precisely 3rd of July, the proprietress started acting strange and insulting all the workers and all that. The following week she sent one of the oldest staff by to inquire what will be the staff reaction if they are not paid at the end if the term. The staff said they won't agree to such and some even threaten various actions. Fast forward to Thursday 25th of July, vacation day. the woman started up a plethora of complaints deliberately she said she was going to pay 4000 as July salary. The same thing she did at the end of second term. At the end she ended up not paying a dime. She didn't pay any of us. Not even the common entrance lesson which made me stay.

I cried and stayed inside throughout Friday. I had a deep thinking, with my academic background! Was it that I didn't know my worth? with all my struggles to be successful academically I am now slaving in one private school for a paltry sum of 15k, money wey I no fit cope with as an undergraduate! Money wey be say no reach my NYSC allawe!
I really feel for graduates going through phases like this. I really feel for graduates teaching at private schools. I pray better days finds you and I soon.
V been in that condition bfr. SUGBON LOGAN TI O DE....... Bro don't worry u ll testify soon!

PoliticsRe: Ruga: Zamfara State Approves 300 Hectares Of Land For RUGA Settlement by babalonimi: 9:42pm On Jul 15, 2019
Amarachi1990:
Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has said that the state would implement the Ruga settlement initiative to resettle herders and boost economic activities.

The governor told the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajiamila who visited the state that the state government would go ahead with the programme in spite of its suspension by the Federal Government.

“I wish to inform the Honourable Speaker that the controversial issue of Ruga, which is being hotly debated across the vast spectrum of the federation, has been unanimously accepted in our state.

“Since time immemorial, the communities of farmers and herders in the state have been living side by side, reinforcing each other, even though there were cases of skirmishes from time to time, they did not take the ugly dimension they have taken in our contemporary times.  “We are confident that Ruga Programme which will transform the nomads to sedentary life will significantly address the farmer/herder crisis in the state,” he said.

The governor said arrangements had been put in place to set up the Ruga settlement on a 100-hectare land in each of the three senatorial districts of the state. According to him, the government would provide schools, hospitals and veterinary clinics as well as earth dams in the new settlements.

He appealed to the leadership of the National Assembly to facilitate the release of N10 billion Federal Government Special Intervention Fund approved for the state to resettle people displaced by banditry. The speaker hailed Matawalle over the successes recorded under the Peace and Reconciliation Initiative targeted at ending banditry in the state. He noted that the voluntary release of 109 kidnap victims in the last 10 days was highly commendable and an indication that all sides were willing to give peace a chance.

Car TalkRe: Tyre Speed Ratings And What You Need To Know by babalonimi: 4:40pm On Jun 23, 2019
AutoJoshNG:
Every car tyre comes with a specified speed rating. The speed rating indicated the maximum speed a tyre is legally approved for. Going beyond your tyres speed ratings may end up landing you in trouble that can cost you your life.

Speed ratings were established to match the speed capability of tyres with the top speed capability of the vehicles to which they are used.

Being aware of your tyres’ speed rating will make you know the maximum speed your tyre is capable of safely maintaining.

To find the legally approved speed rating, you’ll have to check the sidewall of the tyre as shown in the image below;

https://e9r8e7v9.stackpathcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Speed-Rating-of-a-tyre-new.png?x66560

Additionally, most tyre manufacturers maintain that a tyre that has been cut or punctured no longer retains the tyre manufacturer’s original speed rating, even after being repaired because the tyre manufacturer can’t control the quality of the repair. Hence, it is important to note that speed ratings only apply to tyres that have not been damaged, altered, under-inflated or overloaded.

The most common tyre speed rating symbols, maximum speeds and typical applications are shown below:

1. Tyre Rating: L

Maximum speed: 75 mph 120 km/h
Typical application: Off-Road & Light Truck Tyres

2. Tyre Rating:M

Maximum speed: 81 mph 130 km/h
Typical application: Temporary Spare Tyres

3. Tyre Rating: N

Maximum speed: 87 mph 140km/h

4. Tyre Ratingtongue

Maximum speed: 93 mph 150 km/h

5. Tyre Rating:Q

Maximum speed: 99 mph 160 km/h

6. Tyre Rating:R

Maximum speed: 106 mph 170 km/h
Typical application:H.D. Light Truck Tyres

7. Tyre Rating: S

Maximum speed: 112 mph 180 km/h
Typical application: Family Sedans & Vans

8. Tyre Rating: T

Maximum speed: 118 mph 190 km/h
Typical application: Family Sedans & Vans

9. Tyre Rating: U

Maximum speed: 124 mph 200 km/h

10. Tyre Rating: H

Maximum speed:130 mph 210 km/h
Typical application:Sport Sedans & Coupes

11. Tyre Rating: V

Maximum speed: 149 mph 240 km/h
Typical application:Sport Sedans, Coupes & Sports Cars

Z-speed rated tyres are capable of speeds in excess of 149 mph; how far above 149 mph was not identified. This ultimately caused the automotive industry to add W and Y speed ratings to identify the tyres that meet the needs of new vehicles that have extremely high top-speed capabilities.
12. Tyre Rating: W

Maximum speed: 168 mph 270 km/h
Typical application:Exotic Sports Cars

13. Tyre Rating: Y

Maximum speed: 186 mph 300 km/h
Typical application:Exotic Sports Cars

Your engine might be able to do the speed but your tyres can betray you. Many have left the world due to the mistake of stretching the limits of their tyres.

Before now, did you know about tyre speed ratings?Do you have an experience you would love to share? Kingly use the comment section.

Don’t forget to like, rate and share.
