Typical, real nigerian woman, poster. You know all the gimmicks women play.like my wife, last sunday, she made me cook and do all house chores because she's pregnant and told me she wasn't getting herself from morning to night.Womeeeeennn.They know how to get what they want.By, pretense or by naughty behaviour, once pregnant.Im sorry for the men who have to bear the brunt.

but my wife doesn't always pretend sha.I feel her pain sometimes.

Redmosquito: 5 Disadvantages of being pregnant
1) Pain - morning, afternoon and night
2) Lots of pain
3) Loads of pain
4) Physical pain
5) Emotional pain
My list will beat the OP's list anytime grin

Added to that is morning sickness.some will have it for three months, some throughout the pregnancy period. It has some remedy though. Check out this post for remedies.

ReLaTE: it's for people that wants to loose weight.

what i described works well for gaining natural weight. In fact, im hearing it for the first time that it works for loosing weight.I have personally used it before.and i tell you, my weight gain is fine.others that used also have told me similar results in their body.so if you are serious about it try it and see. and since its natural, its side effects will be minimal.

I know u will like a natural remedy. Isn’t it? O.k. then. Squeeze half glass cup of fresh bitter leaf and take in the night for about two weeks. Eat regular normal diets rich in vegetables and fruits. Drink water well every day. Come back to tell me the results after few months because it works like magic.
Health / Home-made Natural Remedy For Morning Sickness by babanne(m): 8:02pm On Nov 16, 2012
It is said that about 70% to 85% of pregnant women have the symptoms of morning sickness. Such symptoms include the following:
• nausea
• vomiting
• loss of appetite
• Back aches
• heartburn
• headaches
etc

But accidentally I found a home-made treatment for it. You see let me inform you that I am not a doctor but I managed to come up with this solution and I will tell you my reasons now. My wife is two months old pregnant and she’s been having many of these symptoms. We read a lot about the problem online and she actually visited two doctors for a total of three times. But the symptoms are still there even after using the medications given. She spits 24/7 and vomited almost as long in a day, ate very little and throws up upon perceiving any odour, good or bad.in fact, she practically ran away from me saying my body odour was terrible to her perception.

It happened in the midnight two days ago as I woke thinking on my wife’s condition. The thought just came from my God.it crossed my mind that honey could improve her condition. Perhaps one reason the thought came was that I once read in one vernacular book on the uses of honey that honey when taken two spoonful by a pregnant woman for some months, will enable her have a natural delivery.

So in the morning I told my wife that the solution has been revealed to me. That she should take two spoonful of honey morning and night for two weeks. She didn’t believe it can work. Then I reach out for bottle of pure honey and ask her to take two spoonful from it. She managed to get up to that because the honey was almost finished. She was also very reluctant because she felt it was causing her nausea and will make her throw up. But she took it because I insisted. And that was it. She didn’t have a single episode of vomiting throughout the day. She ate very well and there was no usual stomach disturbance. Then she went online to check for the effects of honey on early pregnancy. Her findings showed that I was right. The sites she visited are as below.
Thus I recommend that any pregnant woman suffering from morning sickness should take two spoonful of pure honey morning and night. A word of caution though. Use only pure, natural honey and don’t give honey to a child less than 1 year.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Job Vacancy Adverts Lines To Beware Of by babanne(m): 1:07pm On Oct 29, 2012
Your post reminded me of a time when i was an applicant.i responded to two adverts with phrases similar to those you wrote about. One at OjuElegba in lagos.I still know the place very well.Upon arrival at that place you are asked to pay certain small money for some forms.then you are given some wuruwuru interview questions to answer on paper. Then you are told to submit that they will get back to you.they text me on my phone later that i should come and pay around N1,800.00 for certain admin fees after which i will be issued with appointment letter.when i seek the opinion of people they told me to ignore them that thats how they used to extort money from innocent nigerians.

the second was another advert in guardian newspaper that no 30 people needed and no experience is required. the address was olowu street in Ikeja. this guy posed as a UK man and introduced his nameless product to us.that the system was already working but its based on commissions.it was then i realized that this guy wanted to use us as marketers.i quit fast.

they are many like that making illegal/immoral money from innocent citizens. i think graduates really need to beware of them.

Education / What Makes Many Higher Institutions In Nigeria Resume Late by babanne(m): 11:27am On Oct 29, 2012
As i am going through my previous posts in this section this morning an interesting question crossed my mind:why is it that many nigerian higher institutions dont resume on time?i mean, why is it that so many institutions dont resume their new session on september or october of each year?i work in a higher institution and the students have resumed for the new session three weeks ago.few institutions that i know such as ,federal university of agriculture, abeokuta, university of ilorin, federal polytechnic, ilaro do resume early in the academic year.there may be others that i dont know.the academic calendar being run in this country begins every september but you will discover that many schools resume in november, december, january, february or later in the year.why cant all schools operate a unified academic calendar.i know that operating a unified academic calendar has many benefits.my observation shows that the inability of many higher institutions to resume is due partly to lack of organization and the lackadaisical attitude on the part of some members of staff.

so whether you are a student, academic or non-academic member of staff or even parents, tell us what you have observed and suggestions for the schools to improve. you can also mention some of the advantages of having a unified calendar that you know.

Many were on the point of divorce when they came across this book and their relationship became better. You can get it free of charge from any Jehovah's Witness in your area. May i add that its OAU elect/elect and computer engineering grads that dominate Nigerian ICT industry. find out yourself.
Education / Re: Which Nigerian University Is The Best To Study Engineering? by babanne(m): 9:27am On Mar 05, 2012
@talkwisdom, if you are an electronics enthusiast then your best option is OAU.their elect/elect is actually Electronic and Electrical Engineering. That is, they major in electronics whereas other institutions offer electrical/electronics engineering.

Gone are the days when OAU was always on strike. The last three set sets (as far as i can remember) did not loose a single year. You can ask any recent OAU grad u see around. The VC before this present one has corrected all of that.

Let me also add that if you see any engineering grad from OAU practicing, they are always standing out. People will always ask you where did you graduate from.I graduated from the Elect/Elect dept from the school, though we lost 2 years during our time, but I'm still very happy that I graduated from there.

Nobody here mentions the great of them all:OAU. Its hard to enter the school, but the engineering training will do you incomparable good.Your life will never remain the same again.Trust me.They have veterans as profs. They had even gone a step forward. They teach you engineering valuation in addition to your core engineering training.Try it and see.

Hey, before you do so, you must make up your mind that you will read like mad though.

The curriculum of B.Sc(ed) and B.Sc/B.Eng. Elect Eng differs. For the former, the curriculum focuses on teaching and not on practice of engineering. The curriculum of latter is the one designed to practice and also teach the practice of engineering.B.Sc (Ed) holders can only teach the engineering but are not grounded in training to practice.

Education / Can Educators Reveal Their Experience With Nigerian Students? by babanne(m): 3:14pm On Feb 13, 2012
As an educator I have found out that Nigerian students are immature in their way of receiving their education.I wish many educators will find this topic and relate their experiences. For me, I will say a little and allow others to make their comments.Your sincere comments are very much welcome.
[li]One perennial problem we always have to deal with is examination malpractice[/li]
[li]Another is when students lack previous knowledge which makes it difficult for us to teach present one subject.[/li]
[li]Also disrespect/disdain/apathy from students[/li]
etc, etc,
.

If you are an educator, can you relate your experience here? Thanks.
