Education / Students: Tell Us What Your Lecturers Do That Irritates You by babanne(m): 2:44pm On Feb 13, 2012
I happen to be one of Nigerian educators and want to know from students things we educators do that we might not know irritate our students.Though, personally, I tried a great deal to be polite and deliver my lectures diligently without missing my classes, but I still feel there could be other things I'm not aware of that students want from their educators.I know this might help some of our colleagues to better their modus operandi. Please write sincere comments and don't abuse us. Educators too may contribute.Thanks.
Education / Re: How Do I Get A Scholarship? by babanne(m): 5:18pm On Feb 10, 2012
Scholarships exist but for very brilliant students. Yes, you can go to the state scholarship board in your area for enquiries. Almost every state of the federation has such.

If you can pass SAT or TOEFL very well too, you can get scholarship.
There is PTDF scholarship as well.

Oil companies such as mobil and shell also do scholarships every year but you must be very brilliant to be selected in your university/polytechnic. read newspapers, you will see adverts.

Health / Re: Dead Man Wakes Up After 3 Day In The Mortuary by babanne(m): 6:24am On Nov 25, 2011
Many here are inexperienced and naive.this has happened times and again even here in nigeria.only that u did not have the opportunity to be there and pass a comment.but that does it mean its all a lie.the point is such persons were basically in a state of unconsciousness for the number of days involved and the doctors took them for dead.did u remember the case of the then popular comedian/musician gbenga adeboye who was certified dead by doctors but came back to life after 6 hours?so what other evidence do you ask for?

Business / Has Atm Fraud Stopped? by babanne(m): 3:57am On Nov 23, 2011
It appears recently we did not hear anything concerning the ATM fraud again.Has the introduction of new type of cards solved the problem? I lost my new ATM card recently.i waited for some time before i reported to my bank and when i reported i was told not to bother. That once i did not disclose my pin to anybody, my money was safe in my account. The card was not blocked despite the fact i requested for that and my money was actually safe.then i applied for another ATM card which was issued two weeks later. I used to hear bad stories before on ATM fraud.such as the ones reported here. HTTP://KEEPYOURATMWELL..COM Then on the report we suggested ways to avoid this heartbreaking acts.If you know anything concerning it please don't fail to respond. And your comments on the suggestions given are welcome.

This days it appears such stories have ended. What do you say?

Phones / Re: Beware Of Glo's Bogus Cards by babanne(m): 3:35am On Nov 23, 2011
Really i was annoyed (still annoyed) because i have two glo lines both of which have been rendered useless for more than one week because of this problems. i traveled from lagos to osun state last week where i had the same problem with N200 glo card.then as i was coming i bought another N100 glo card and untill now i cannot load it as well.yesterday i met my colleague working in glo and asked him what the problem was.after calling one of his colleagues in glo he said we should buy another N100 card. we loaded that on my line and it was succsessful.but the former N100 could not be loaded.he also warned me that the N200 cards have issues that i should be loading N500 cards. i was not satisfied. To make the matter worse the, after loading the N100 card on my line, the line could not make calls nor send SMS. It was frustrating. then i told my glo friend.he didnt have any tangible thing to say.i only expressed my annoyance with their services. Only in Nigeria can this be done and the service provide continue to smile to the banks. Its time Nigerians wake up from their slumber

Travel / As Heat Affects Them, Cold Affects Us by babanne(m): 12:22am On Jul 27, 2011
I dont know how many of you people are following the recent trend in weather.Outrageous heat continue to trouble people in parts of US recently. Here is a last friday's report across the affected areas:

On Friday, the mercury in Newark, N.J., reached 108, the highest temperature ever recorded there. Airports near Washington and Baltimore hit 105. Philadelphia reached 103, Boston 103, Portland, Maine, and Concord, N.H., 101 and Providence, R.I., 100. New York City hit 104 degrees, just 2 short of its all-time high, and with the oppressive humidity, it felt like 113.

This was actually measured in fahreinheit but when converted to degree celsius, its above 40.Meaning its hotter that sokoto, maiduguri or anywhere in the northern nigerian here.but here in nigeria that we usually feel heat, temperature begins to drop and excessive cold takes over everyday since few week now. What a twist of event. One of my friends in US i chatted with tonight told me the weather was brutal in Texas; hotter than in sokoto. Remember the excess rain experienced recently in some parts of the country like Lagos! TRULY, THESE ARE THE LAST DAYS.
Business / Re: MTN: The Oliver Twist Of Our Time! by babanne(m): 11:42pm On Jul 26, 2011
MTn is money monger and exploitative.I think they have bribed those that should call them to order.
But all of them seem to want to continue the exploitation.you have to dial a code on airtel every 30 days before you can continously enjoy their too good package.if not you are billed at 60k/sec.also many of us ( i am among) cant join the glo infinito. i mean when you dial the code it does not work.meaning they want us to be on old tarrif. why dont they all (aitel and glo) put the subscribers on the new tariff plans by default? your guess is as goo as mine. exploitation continues.
