ibiso1986: It happened around 6pm at Garison busstop.. They were so many people waiting to board either a taxi or a bus heading towards rumola.. So once a car stops, people tend to drag or push each other just to enter any commercial vehicle.. I waited for a car close to 30 minutes and decided to do the dragging game. A car came and I was trying to struggle close to d back door, then I mistakenly touched one elderly man(who was also struggling to enter) by his back(close to his pocket area and not inside his pocket).. It was a mistake cos we were all pushing and dragging with our hands.. The guy shouted that I was a theif.. That he will slap me(see me, see wahala).. Everybody(close to a 100) focused on the scene.. I shouted back and explained to him.. The guy told me to shut up.. I dragged and explained even to others.. But the crowd seemed to believe the man(I even heard a lady saying na so dem go dey dress well dey thief). Can u imagine the embarrassment.. One of the agberos wanted to bring out tyre.. But another agbero stopped him and told me to leave the man.. He probably saved me. Cos I think I would have been brutally injured or killed if it were to be some other places in nigeria(don't want to mention names).. The man was still shouting and I shouted back while explaining.. He later boarded a vehicle and I left the scene. Majority of d crowd started avoiding me after my explanation.. How can I be a pickpocket when I'm a graduate. Its so sad.. I JUST DONT KNOW WHY MOST NIGERIANS ARE NAÏVE AND SO QUICK TO BELIEVE. So please, if u are stocked in a bus stop
, be careful how u place ur hand when dragging with people just to enter a bus or taxi cos someone might wrongly accuse you.. THAT'S THE MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT IN MY LIFE. Feel free to share ur most embarrassing moment..

Sorry for your ordeal. But people have suffered a lot from those pick pockets. i have personally lost two gsm phones to them while struggling to enter buses at Ikeja along bus stop and at iyana Ipaja under bridge respectively.

Many mothers with newborns and toddlers use various mineral based oil for their babies and these with attendant troubles. They are known to cause rashes and so much discomfort for babies. Is there a natural way of taking care of your baby? The answer is an emphatic YES. This is a natural ingredient cream-Shea butter. (pronounced shee) It has been referred to as women gold for obvious reasons. It is called ori in yoruba. It is known to produce amazing results on babies and adult skins. Some of the benefits include:

1.Shea Butter nourishes and protects your baby’s delicate skin like nothing else available.

2.it protects your baby’s bottom from diaper rash, or if your baby develops cradle cap, shea butter is the only cream you will need to soothe and heal this condition.

3. your baby will love having daily shea butter massages.

4. An emollient which penetrates the skin quickly, Shea Butter moisturizes your scalp and helps to reduce and eliminate dandruff.

5.Prevents skin aging. Acts as a protective layer preventing skin dehydration and protecting it from external factors such as heat, cold, wind and sudden changes in climate.

6. Acts as a powerful antioxidant. Smooths and restructure winkles, scars and other imperfection of the skin.

7. It is used as a sunscreen before and after tanning, protecting skin of the sun damages such as UVB and UVA.

8. Prevents and treats stretch marks with great results. Ideal for pregnant women. Also prevents cracking on the breast skin.

9.It is effective in treating diaper rash in infants. Relieves redness of the area and protects the skin from wetness.

10. If you have chronically dry skin or Eczema, using Shea Butter provides natural moisture to your skin and relief from itching. I use this on my two year old before bedtime to ensure he doesn't scratch himself raw during the night.

11. Applying Shea Butter immediately helps take the sting out of insect bites. This will allow the bite to heal faster, as you are not scratching.

Mothers, your best bet for your babies and families cream is shea butter

Lanrefahm: another question, we all know GOD is the one charge of all things dat angels cant do what he does and is very powerful my question is this, u claim dat jesus is GOD and he died 4 three days so whenhe died 4 three days who was in charge
You see, that is one major area where christendom had got it wrong. in fact, they have misled many with that doctrine equating jesus with god. but true christians know that jesus is not god. as a matter of fact, there is nowhere that the bible says jesus is god. so when jesus was on earth and when he died, god was in heaven, in charge.thats why when jesus was on earth he prayed to his father in heaven who was in charge.

2. A church that wont place much emphasis on giving...
3. A church that wont have a register for tithes or offerings because i believe my giving should be without compulsion.
4. A church that is musically sound with good instruments, good choir and great worship leaders.

Family / Eight Year Old Boy Marries 61-year Old Woman-Pictures by babanne(m): 9:35pm On Mar 14, 2013
An unusual wedding ceremony between an eight-year old boy and 61-year old woman took place weekend in Tshwane, South Africa with close to 100 people in attendance.

Sanele Masilela (cool and Helen Shabangu (61) had their families present at the union – the bride’s husband and her five children were also at the wedding.

Explaining why the wedding took place, Sanele’s aunt, Patience Masilela (46), said: “The boy was named after his late grandfather who never had a white wedding, so the ancestors told the boy to get married and he chose Helen to be his bride. The family took his desire to get married very seriously. They paid for the bride in March last year and spent a lot on the wedding because they believed it was what the ancestors wanted.”

The bride who was visibly excited, stated: “I’m married and have five kids of my own, but I know that this is what the ancestors wanted, and now they are happy. it is a ritual. we are just playing now, but it is a sign that he will get married one day”.

Sanele who stated his desire to continue his education explained the reason behind the wedding thus: “I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to. I chose her because I love her and I’m happy that I married her, but I will go to school and study hard. When I’m older I will marry a lady my own age.”

Hi guys. I have an issue similar to the poster's. I have acquired some stock for about 6 years now. During the economic meltdown the values of those stocks went very, very low
Now that we all belief the meltdown is over, the stocks refuse to come back to original value. What will you advice me to do to those stocks? Please note that the companies still exist and functioning but their stock values remain very low. Counting on your experience.

Pls don't let society pressurize u into making a wrong choice.
'Why are there high rate of divorcee and single mothers' are threads that people should open on NL.
u are so wrong.i know your not setling 4 less means lookin 4 an already wealthy person.d question is:is marriage all about money?money & material things are d reason many ladies remain unmarried because they are lookin 4 wealthy men.they dont know d essence of marriage.second, one reason 4 high divorce is due to lack of respect on d part of d woman & their inability 2 submit to their husband as god want them to be.i advice that you stop preaching matetialism as a basis for marriage and allow serious prospective wifes to think about d essence of matrimony, which are LOVE, SUBMISSION AND RESPECT.

Incredible!!! but I think it should be true. One of my colleagues during my polytechnic days could write with both hands but not simultaneously. When he write with both hands, you can not distinguish between the two handwriting.

But this chinese girl's case is sort of extraordinary. Writing with both hands at the same time and either one vertically and the other horizontal or in two different languages is nothing short of wizardry.

Cosmopolice:

Common sharrap u wan spoil market for us way dey use 3G bis. If u save d amount u have been using to buy data bundle for what ever smart device u are using
u should be able to get a blackberry device with 3G. Serzly u should have excluded the bis part except u are too greedy with the blackberry you usem dats if its 3G enabled.
Why can't you reason positively. If NCC directs that all rates should be at the same lower price for BB, does it mean they spoil market for you.Your inability to reason before responding to posts reveals your selfishness.
Phones / Should Service Providers Be Allowed To Continue Using Short Code Adverts by babanne(m): 3:31pm On Feb 19, 2013
Recently in nigeria, the GSM/CDMA service providers have abused the use of short codes to advertise one thing or the

other including lotteries telling their target they will win millions of naira by texting certain numbers. some of these

short code messages many times have become a nuisance to mobile users. in my own view this act should be stopped by NCC.

It is said that in civilized countries like the America and in Europe this does not happen. Nlanders what do you think?

Lets talk objectively and provide reasons for your submission.

I know this is possible front page thread, so mod please do justice to it.
Phones / Re: Open Letter To NCC On Data Bundle Cost by babanne(m): 3:14pm On Feb 19, 2013
*solid*:
I wish to use this medium to call on The Nigerian Communications Commision to as a matter of urgency look into this issue of data subscription disparity.

First, it is worthy of note, the effort of The NCC in seeing that Nierians are get good value for every kobo spent on network providers. With the likes of regulation of SMS cost to a flat rate of N4 per unit SMS, as well as other meaningful regulations.

Like wise it would be a very very commendable effort if the NCC can regulate and make uniform to a reasonable amount the cost of data bundle subscription across the board of internet user and subscribers.

At present, people who can afford blackberry mobile device are given larger data bundle while other mobile users and PC users are give less that half data bundle for the same amount.

This treatment to people who can not afford blackberry mobile device is so unfair and should be discontinued.

Nigerians deserve a better treatment.

Besides, if the internet data bundle price is reviewed downwards, the economic benefits are so numerous as more Nigerians would become internet users and the opportunities that comes with that would be to the benefit of all.

Nigerians would remain appreciative if the NCC handel this matter with the urgency it requires.

Kabir
Abuja, Nigeria.

Moderator: Kindly move this to front page. Thanks

Thanks for bringing this issue up on NL.I have always been concerned about the extortions that that the service providers practice in the name of selling data bundle. You will recall that MTN ,Glo and others were charging line without data bundle at a rate of 15k/kB for long time before they reduced it to 5k/kB which is still very expensive.if you use your line to browse for about 2hours non stop on your computer or mobile, you must have spent up N500.You see, NCC must act fast to stop this cheating. As they are now giving conditions on rate of calls and sms, they should likewise give meaningful operating conditions on data. The excuse that these people should be allowed to make a return on their investment is very lame. Imagine that MTN made its projected profit for 15 years in only the first three years from all sort of cheating and illegalities. And the cheating continues. my faithful two coins.
