And thats why you should not blame people like "my oga at the top" |
ibiso1986: It happened around 6pm at Garison busstop.. They were so many people waiting to board either a taxi or a bus heading towards rumola.. So once a car stops, people tend to drag or push each other just to enter any commercial vehicle.. I waited for a car close to 30 minutes and decided to do the dragging game. A car came and I was trying to struggle close to d back door, then I mistakenly touched one elderly man(who was also struggling to enter) by his back(close to his pocket area and not inside his pocket).. It was a mistake cos we were all pushing and dragging with our hands.. The guy shouted that I was a theif.. That he will slap me(see me, see wahala).. Everybody(close to a 100) focused on the scene.. I shouted back and explained to him.. The guy told me to shut up.. I dragged and explained even to others.. But the crowd seemed to believe the man(I even heard a lady saying na so dem go dey dress well dey thief). Can u imagine the embarrassment.. One of the agberos wanted to bring out tyre.. But another agbero stopped him and told me to leave the man.. He probably saved me. Cos I think I would have been brutally injured or killed if it were to be some other places in nigeria(don't want to mention names).. The man was still shouting and I shouted back while explaining.. He later boarded a vehicle and I left the scene. Majority of d crowd started avoiding me after my explanation.. How can I be a pickpocket when I'm a graduate. Its so sad.. I JUST DONT KNOW WHY MOST NIGERIANS ARE NAÏVE AND SO QUICK TO BELIEVE. So please, if u are stocked in a bus stopSorry for your ordeal. But people have suffered a lot from those pick pockets. i have personally lost two gsm phones to them while struggling to enter buses at Ikeja along bus stop and at iyana Ipaja under bridge respectively. |

ifeness: You do not need the bible. Their are and have been millions of prophets on the planet....which includes Martin Luther king, Fela, Stephen Biko etc.. these are names you wont find in the bibleDo you know whom a true prophet is? I guess you do not judging by the above you posted. |
Both of them are legendary. They handle the guitar in an amazing way. No need to compare them. |
Is this an African disease? Please, more research for vaccines against such diseases. |
My advice is that you call on those Jehovah's witnesses friends and ask them that question. They will use the Bible to answer you. |
Lanrefahm: another question, we all know GOD is the one charge of all things dat angels cant do what he does and is very powerful my question is this, u claim dat jesus is GOD and he died 4 three days so whenhe died 4 three days who was in chargeYou see, that is one major area where christendom had got it wrong. in fact, they have misled many with that doctrine equating jesus with god. but true christians know that jesus is not god. as a matter of fact, there is nowhere that the bible says jesus is god. so when jesus was on earth and when he died, god was in heaven, in charge.thats why when jesus was on earth he prayed to his father in heaven who was in charge. |

aribitoye: My kind of church should have the following qualities:You sounded as someone who really want to serve God and practice true christianity. If you really want to practice true christianity you have to invite jehovah's witnesses. im at work now and im going out. but later in the evening i can talk to you via email because most of your conditions up there make you appear as someone who really want to serve the true god. if so send me your email and expect my reply this evening. |

omonija2000: plagiarism is a serious offence in academic.lecturers should bewarecant agree less. As someone in academics i knw what it takes to carry out a reseach & publish your findings in a reputable local & especially international journal. Also, its not a joke to bag a phd especially in a field such as engineering. It requires a lot of hard work & sleepless night. |

An unusual wedding ceremony between an eight-year old boy and 61-year old woman took place weekend in Tshwane, South Africa with close to 100 people in attendance. Sanele Masilela ( and Helen Shabangu (61) had their families present at the union – the bride’s husband and her five children were also at the wedding.Explaining why the wedding took place, Sanele’s aunt, Patience Masilela (46), said: “The boy was named after his late grandfather who never had a white wedding, so the ancestors told the boy to get married and he chose Helen to be his bride. The family took his desire to get married very seriously. They paid for the bride in March last year and spent a lot on the wedding because they believed it was what the ancestors wanted.” The bride who was visibly excited, stated: “I’m married and have five kids of my own, but I know that this is what the ancestors wanted, and now they are happy. it is a ritual. we are just playing now, but it is a sign that he will get married one day”. Sanele who stated his desire to continue his education explained the reason behind the wedding thus: “I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to. I chose her because I love her and I’m happy that I married her, but I will go to school and study hard. When I’m older I will marry a lady my own age.” See source for more. timbstope: My naija peeps isn't there anything that can be done regarding this daar comm share. The share is still at 0.50 naira after being sold for 5 naira per share loss of abt 4.50 naira on each share being bought what could have been the reason for this are this people playing with our hard earned cash? Are they sayin daar comm with which we have invested makes no profit that we can benefit from. Pls let's discuss this within and outside this forum.More questions Are they saying their own economic meltdown is not yet over? Have they foorgoten we invested in order to make profit? Are they saying media business is no longer profitable even with all the new AIT Stations they have opened recently? |
abifoluwa: seun, when will you start sellling shares for nairaland lol>?I seconded this question. I think our NL owner should give this a careful thought. Di your homework and hit the Nigerian Stock Exchange. When you do, make me a lion shareholder. |
Hi guys. I have an issue similar to the poster's. I have acquired some stock for about 6 years now. During the economic meltdown the values of those stocks went very, very low Now that we all belief the meltdown is over, the stocks refuse to come back to original value. What will you advice me to do to those stocks? Please note that the companies still exist and functioning but their stock values remain very low. Counting on your experience. |
lorretta u: Dimwit.your school fee was a waste of moneyu do not hav to resort to name-calling if you do not hav a constructive submissions.better go & sleep. |
luvmijeje: If u are above 30 and u still single pls don't settle for less.I know it is easier said than done but what is the use of getting married and u re unhappy.u are so wrong.i know your not setling 4 less means lookin 4 an already wealthy person.d question is:is marriage all about money?money & material things are d reason many ladies remain unmarried because they are lookin 4 wealthy men.they dont know d essence of marriage.second, one reason 4 high divorce is due to lack of respect on d part of d woman & their inability 2 submit to their husband as god want them to be.i advice that you stop preaching matetialism as a basis for marriage and allow serious prospective wifes to think about d essence of matrimony, which are LOVE, SUBMISSION AND RESPECT. |
frostbyte: It is 99% self inflicted and please dont pity them.you are nt far from d truth. Some are choosy, materialistic &unrealistic.d fact is many dt remain single is as a result of their undoing. |
Incredible!!! but I think it should be true. One of my colleagues during my polytechnic days could write with both hands but not simultaneously. When he write with both hands, you can not distinguish between the two handwriting. But this chinese girl's case is sort of extraordinary. Writing with both hands at the same time and either one vertically and the other horizontal or in two different languages is nothing short of wizardry. |
Cosmopolice: Common sharrap u wan spoil market for us way dey use 3G bis. If u save d amount u have been using to buy data bundle for what ever smart device u are usingWhy can't you reason positively. If NCC directs that all rates should be at the same lower price for BB, does it mean they spoil market for you.Your inability to reason before responding to posts reveals your selfishness. |
Recently in nigeria, the GSM/CDMA service providers have abused the use of short codes to advertise one thing or the other including lotteries telling their target they will win millions of naira by texting certain numbers. some of these short code messages many times have become a nuisance to mobile users. in my own view this act should be stopped by NCC. It is said that in civilized countries like the America and in Europe this does not happen. Nlanders what do you think? Lets talk objectively and provide reasons for your submission. I know this is possible front page thread, so mod please do justice to it. |
*solid*:Thanks for bringing this issue up on NL.I have always been concerned about the extortions that that the service providers practice in the name of selling data bundle. You will recall that MTN ,Glo and others were charging line without data bundle at a rate of 15k/kB for long time before they reduced it to 5k/kB which is still very expensive.if you use your line to browse for about 2hours non stop on your computer or mobile, you must have spent up N500.You see, NCC must act fast to stop this cheating. As they are now giving conditions on rate of calls and sms, they should likewise give meaningful operating conditions on data. The excuse that these people should be allowed to make a return on their investment is very lame. Imagine that MTN made its projected profit for 15 years in only the first three years from all sort of cheating and illegalities. And the cheating continues. my faithful two coins. |
Great sense of humour men!Ride on. |
