She was a trained secretary and a banker. She worked in the now defunct International Merchant Bank (IMB). Fashion design was her passion. She's from a wealthy background and a great philanthropist too.

One wonders why it's a problem when women are successful. People don't ask how men with oil blocks became successful. That's not to mention the many oil block allotees (male and female ) who didn't achieve any meaningful results. I admire her courage and strength of purpose. She's done well for herself and society.
cos most of these successful womens source of wealth is usually questionable, they just come up from nowere without any reasonable track record, men are logical thats why men usually question these women, its not just an issue of questioning women, even wealthy men with questionable track record are questioned

Not surprised. Spiritual matters will remains a mystery for people of the world. God looks inward while human considers physical things. Even if I call a new name today, it will be potent so far my heart connects with Him. God has a lot of name and He reveals Himself based on the heart of the person calling on Him not the name used.
yet what spiritual matter created the system you are using to read this post?

the African man is getting things twisted, women should not be encouraged to do things like this, they would loose their allure and feminity, instead a more delicate skill should be encouraged, nigerian women are masculinizing, because the men are puting them through stress

Africa's narrative has changed but remains stagnant in the minds of the very ignorant who can not see the visible physical changes but resort to the narrative in their minds. Your assertion is plainly myopic. And that is because you have not really known Africa, it is a continent of many countries, some of these countries are very much better than 'some' Western Countries and 'some' European countries.

But then again, someone in a hamlet of some village will always think the rest of African countries and their cities must look like his hamlet.

That is ignorant perception of the subject's myopic narrative and not the true position of things.

Rest in Peace, friend.
its a lie, until Africa starts produces for its self,African narrative has therefore not changed

Will you keep quiet ?

The fact that you are suffering does not mean all Nigerians are suffering, so it makes no sense for you to say Nigeria is destroyed when in essence others are enjoying this rich country.

You just lack the connections due to people you choose to dine with. Even some Americans think their country is worst than hell. They are the timid ones.

If you want to fly, join the Eagles club, if you want to jump, join the monkeys club. If you want to be poor, join the masses.
is the average nigerian not suffering, what is the legacy of nigeria till date, what is the achievement of the nigeria amongst other nations, dont think of yourself alone, why is the blackman so selfish

Lol. When did you begin to read the news? shocked shocked

We have been lamenting for years how little recognition bright ladies get compared to those flaunting flesh. This is not even limited to women.

Only recently a few bright people get some assistance. But still too little.

I know of girls who graduated with top degrees as far as 30 years ago. They still needed their relatives to sponsor them abroad for PG. Unless retained by their respective universities. Academic jobs weren't even that attractive at that point. Poor pay then.

I'm yet to see governors dancing with first class graduates like they did with BBN candidates.
my point is that were men also celebrated then, this idea of giving women preferential treatment is wrong, there are many guys that are equally exceptional that get no recognition that the entertainers and footballers get,so why calling for female recognition,i hate it when men do not support their own instead always campaigning for ladies who will never campaign instead always seek to shortchange men.

The Blackman has made and is still making a lot of positive strides.Unfortunately, any positive stride the blackman makes is given a negative connotation by other self loathing black people. For example, the writer talked about Africans drowning in the Mediterranean sea trying to get to Europe. What about the hundreds of thousands even millions of Syrians that have made a similar journey? What about the millions of south and central Americans that have made and are still making thesame journey to the USA?If Venezuela were to be an African nation,we would never hear the end of how the blackman is a perpetual "failure" from all quarters
venezuela is one country out of the rest of latin america that are doing well, what about chile etc, also syria is also one country out of others arabic countries doing well like uae, quatar, kuwait etc,how many black african or black countries are doing well round the globe almost none, thats were the issue is

Nice article. But no matter the shift or change in education or culture, the black race will never be tech inclined. We are too lazy, not wanting to think too much or work too much. We just want to reap the benefits of working hard while we put God in charge of doing the hard work. The youths are so lazy that they're stuck to their phone screens all day looking for any kind of entertainment to make them forget the real world. You can't blame show organisers for not incorporating tech activities into their shows or auditions. How many nigerians know or are interested in technological innovations? Those shows will run at a loss. There are lots of maths and science competitions and exihibitions sponsored by both private organizations and the government that are aired on tv, how many of them get the hype, social media attention or even participants rush? You can't blame international investors for wanting to invest in the most lucrative business around. No such thing as a conspiracy.
its a lie, there are many hidden nigerians who love technological innovations and science, many entertainment guys are core science guys, but because there is no outlet for science expression they give up and embrace entertainment.IF there is an outlet i bet you,the culture will change

I am not surprised. The man is clearly a self loathing black person.People like him create a negative spin to everything black people achieve. He even referred to Iranians as Arabs when they are Persians.Arabs innovate nothing.Their wealth comes from the oil in their soil which has led to corruption on steroids in their region
forget about what he said about iranians or arabs, what is the blackman doing? the answer is nothing.we dont need to compare ourselves but improve ourselves
