Birdbyrde440:Your black women are not submissive because blackmen do not deserve submissive women,do your part by creating a prosperous safe society then we can fault blackwoman, till then Blackmales will always be seen as weak and lacking protective instincts, the male duty comes first not the female. |
Jogs1900:The major influence were not the Ibadan but yoruba missionaries, and British colonialist who promoted the use of Yoruba as lingua franca like they did with Hausa in the north, Yoruba influence has been watered down over the years however |
Jogs1900:Yoruba became an influential language there, around the time of the Ibadan invasion there from the 1850s |
Jogs1900:Akoko-ondo comprises some from Yoruba origins while some including idoani have Benin origins, but Akoko-edo are mainly Edo originates |
Slytiger:These towns were kind of abandoned settlements which people had fled from or moved to hills. Note they are few and little villages, like aiyegunle, ikiran-ile etc, then some like ozah, which was corrupted to ojah by the Yoruba, the whites also corrupted some like osioso to ososo, unagogo to magongo. |
Slytiger:Also many of them lived on hills,so when they were persuaded to come down, the Yoruba priest and missionaries named the new settlements |
Slytiger:Google topic very well you'll come across a lot of articles on it |
Slytiger:Akoko-edo are not Yorubas, no Akoko-edo person will say they are Yorubas, maybe you confusing them with Akoko-ondo |
Slytiger:That is exactly the case, note that the Akoko-edo region was just emerging from destruction by the nupe at this time so were in a very debased state, this gave the Yoruba priest and teachers alot of power of influence cos they were seen as humanitarian saviours |
Jogs1900:I know it's part of the zone |
Ireportlive:Is Akoko-edo not in northern Edo,it is not yoruboid, you can simply Google it,their languages are all edoid, except akpes, ikaan which is unclassified, ogori-magongo is independent |
Ireportlive:Their language is not even yoruboid, that's the point |
Jogs1900:Akeredolu is from owo not akoko |
illicit:How many times will they explain the issue of names to you people, the Yoruba naming trend started during the colonial era, with Yoruba missionaries and teachers influence |
Iamzik:There's hardly anytime an invading gunman comes out alive from any attack in america, many times killed by ordinary people sometimes even women not even law enforcement. In same America, we have heard many cases of white men gunning down blacks unprovoked, but blacks can hardly ever reciprocate such attacks cos they are powerless In nigeria invading Fulani gunmen consistently attack communities and retreat untouched. The men of such victim communities rarely mobilize to attack the Fulani instead they give all sorts of lame excuses why they cannot. The reason they can't revenge is simply due to lack of capacity and fear, all other reasons are just excuses to cover up their weaknesses. Buhari is no more on sit, they should stop these lame excuses |
Akoko-edo is in the extreme northwestern part of Edo state. Comprises many villages consisting of the okpameri group(which is not a tribe but an alliance).such as ibilo,ekor,ekpesa,lampese,ugbosi- afe,ugboshi-sale,ikiran-ile, imoga,ososo,ekpe,onumu,dangbala,ojah,ikpeshi- atte, somorika, bekuma ,ojirami The Uneme such as Ekpedo,uneme- OSI,uneme- erhunhun, etc Igarra(ebira),and others. Most of them have histories relating to Benin origins while some of them are aborigines. Few communities like ibilo, ekpesa, ugboshi etc trace their origins to IFE but it's highly disputed as their language and culture defy this narrative. The Akoko-edo have some ethnic relationship to some villages in Akoko-ondo and idoani who also trace their origins to Benin, however the Akoko-ondo have become heavily yorubanized most of them however still retain traces of their Benin origins. The fact that many indigenes of Akoko-edo bare Yoruba names and some of the villages have Yoruba names confuses people to think they are Yorubas, even indigenes themselves. However the Yoruba naming factor was influenced by the early Yoruba missionaries, and traders, who spread Christianity and education and trade by means of Yoruba communication, this made the zone adopt a Yoruba naming convention and made Yoruba the lingua franca since most of the villages spoke their own unique dialects which were bare mutually intelligible. This Yoruba influence as died down in present times, however some still retain their Yoruba names, this makes Yorubas mislabel them as Yorubas when they are actually not. |
Iamzik:It's not about what I think, its about the facts and evidences on ground, where else have you seen the sought of large scale killing that occurs in Nigeria, without adequate reprisals or response, instead the men cry as much as the women and call on God to protect them. I wonder how u will feel if say,Israel sends female soldiers to protect u guys in Nigeria Am sure the typical blackmale response will be to celebrate instead of feeling ashamed. |
walefresh3:The truth is the truth, I am from there,so I am talking from indigenous POV not from hearsay |
KwuoteYourFada:There's a big difference between Akoko-edo and Akoko-ondo, mind you the Akoko name itself is not native to Yoruba,it is an autochonos name |
chopnaira:There's a big difference between Akoko-edo and Akoko-ondo, those towns you mentioned like aiyegunle,ikiran-ile etc are non Yoruba ,they were renamed by Yorubas during the colonial era when Yoruba were appointed as teachers, priest to run those centres. Note that teachers and priest where very reverred in those days |
VEHINTOLAR:Any body that is from Akoko-edo and tells you they are Yoruba is lying to you, probably to win favor from Yorubas,Akoko-edo is completely non Yoruba |
Babathanks:Ekpedo is pure Uneme,they aren't Yoruba at all,likewise ekpe |
Iamzik:It's the truth,it's not about complex,so many classic examples to prove my narrative |
Godfullsam:The fact that the victims are innocent and armless is the more reason the men should mobilize and protect them, the narrative that they are unaware and unprepared is untenable as these attacks are always consistent and patterned,if they were really ready to protect themselves they would keep watch always. That excuse is just to cover up for their failures to protect their innocent wives and daughters |
Godfullsam:It is a classic example, there's hardly any other race that will not mobilize to defend themselves, even in the time of Isis, the Kurds mobilize including their women to battle Isis, but here men cannot mobilize to defend their territory, they keep crying to God and a non existent government or military |
simpleseyi:My narrative is due to the consistent killings in plateau,Benue,Kaduna and the poverty state of Nigeria and black africa |
From some of the comments so far you can clearly see why the Blackman as failed, most of the Blackmen compares himself to his woman and competes with women instead of men of order races. The Blackman has never been great in history and doesn't feel ashamed. |
Blackmen generally are not protectors, but especially most tribes in Nigeria. Majority of them can't protect their wives and children unlike other races. In Nigeria only the Igbo,Fulani and some other minoritieshave that protector/ defender instiints |
Olachase:You don't know anything |
Olachase:Akungba is ondo not Edo. Akoko ondo are an Yoruba Edo mixture but Akoko-edo is purely Edo origins |
Olachase:Which village is your mum from in Akoko Edo? There's no Akoko-edo village which claim they are pure Yoruba. |
Listening to the commissioner of information plateau state on an interview on Al-Jazeera there's this trend of politicians that has been left unchecked by Nigerians which is probably the worst evils these politicians do which many have overlooked. The act of determining who should live or die He was explaining that the military has sole responsibility to defend people, therefore people should not defend themselves according to the so called constitution. This is an absurd political evil that needs to be checked once and for all. The excesses of politicians has reached the peak now.It is just too much You can't have people coming enmasse to kill you and all you can do is wait for a non existent military to save you. E.g if an armed robber wants to invade your house, rape your wife etc. Why should you not arm yourself and defend ur space You have the inherent right under any law to defend yourself at that moment. How can you say people should sit and wait to be killed if there's no military intervention when they are attacked and people shouldn't try to arm and defend themselves. What kind of satanic law is that, that law is against God. The whiteman that brought most of these laws wouldn't sit like a duck waiting to be killed, they will defend themselves. Why are the political blacks acting so foolish and wicked in Nigeria. Why is black peoples politics this evil. Who are these blacks even. Is there a secret we don't know. This mystery as to be unravelled The act of Nigerian politicians encouraging people to be defenceless needs to be stopped. This is a plot by politicians against human beings, against sacred lives. This trend of continuous political evil must begin to be looked into, politicians are not some kind of special people or gods that will determine who should live or die. Political evil as been allowed by Nigerians to fester too much. Their excesses need begin to be looked into. It has become too worrisome, the mystery of black/ Nigerian politics need to be unravelled now |
