Go and see akwa ibomites suffering and doing all kinds of minial jobs in crossriver state, calabar especialy. They are polluting the city with hawking, criminal acts, cultism, prostitution. Visitors who dont know will tag them bad cross rivarians. Akpabio is drunk with ego. They are everywhere doing all manner of minial jobs e.g houseboy, housegirl and the names you hear ar: ekaette, okon, akpan, emmabong etc. Akpabio, hear the cry off the poor masses!

The newly constructed classroom buildings in the state which are a lot even though more still needs to be built all have doors and windows and kids leave their lockers there?

Having to carry your lockers home isn't the worst thing that can happen to a school kid as long as you have a decent learning environment and good teachers. I did carry my lockers home not that i wish that on the kids.
And you also have to take into account that some families use those lockers at home as furniture when the kids dont require them at school.
Mine is still at home and i was in secondary school eons ago.

Rossikk: Unduly cynical in my view. A lot of those factors where they exist, are surmountable. For an investor, it often involves skillfully relating to power and officialdom to gain the best possible advantage for your firm - the better you are at it, the more successful you'll be.

Also, there's a lot more state government support for tourism and other investment related efforts these days than used to be the case.

Rossikk: Why do we keep looking for govt to do these things? What stops a private developer from going to that beach and buying some land to build a resort there? Nothing! There's no way you're gonna tell me a serious investor cannot pay off those poor folks for some of their land. And once he builds a resort, (perhaps an all-inclusive resort with private beach) others will see he's making profit, and then develop theirs as well. Before you know it, the beach is filled with resorts, hotels, eateries, clubs, water parks etc and becomes a haven for tourists!

BabaTony: Very good question. What about the 4 motor parks at itam, mbiabong, aka road and abak road. The govt is dealing with the issue of illegal motor parks with kid gloves. The abbatoir and timber markets at itam are also left to rot! The govt has to wake up and make sure older infrastructure not built by them do not rot. Some hospitals in the state fall in this category too. When i pass through this places i feel like weeping. Govt is a continuum. If not whatever they are building today will suffer the same fate. A word is enough for the wise.

And why Akpabio has decided not to open both the IBIBIO UNION MUSEUM at udo udoma avenue and IBOM PLAZA wit its open-air cinema &shopping mall 2d public? Those two edifies despite d tens of billions of naira used in constructing them have been abandoned to reptiles . This is sad.

I can authoritatively tell you that the landscape works for the entire complex will soon commence starting from the theme park which is inside the complex. Jardin has been contracted to undertake the landscape works. works on the cinema and mall area will commence when Julius Berger completes the remaining portion of the carpark and internal roads.

I will not for the ff reasons:

1. This is his 2nd tenure.

2. We have seen his very good and purposeful effort in infrastructure especially roads, airport, tropicana, e-library, stadium etc and to some extent education now we need someone else that leverage on this to develop other sectors bbecause I don't see him capable of doing that.

3. His cousin prince akpabio and other politicians are very very greedy. So we need a change in status quo. They loot like complete idiots.

4. Eket senatorial zone needs a shot at the governorship position.

5. No condition is permanent. CHANGE IS CONSTANT.
