Thanks so much for responding🙏🏽🙏🏽

Please, another question....one of the required documents I am to bring as seen in the checklist is , "2 documents in both your names that show you have lived together for the last two years".

Please, what are some examples of documents that can be presented?

Just like someone responded tenancy agreement, utility bills which point to same address even if it doesn’t have both your names, pictures, flight trips together, hotel bookings and chats

Move to page 26 of the official uk documentation for proving relationships. Ensure you gather as much documentation mentioned on the list. Try and label your pictures as well. I and my partner got 3 nsf emails until we broke each picture down. Under each pictures put captions and dates.

I selected not cohabiting and they went on to ask how we have been managing the relationship for the past 2 years. I have my school records and all my offer letters. Also how soon did you apply after your wedding?

Samguine:

Similar case to mine. However, we informed them that we have NOT been living together for the past two years. And we were told to prove it. Used our offer letters (hers based in the UK, mine based outside the UK)

I assume you selected the option that you have been cohabiting. You will have to prove it.

Any option you choose (living together or not living together), you will have to prove it.

Greetings everyone,

I have been in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend since I left for the uk in 2022. We plan to have our wedding in February so he can come and join as I have achieved some form of stability here. We hope to do the wedding in a week and have him apply ASAP. I went through the application and they are asking to prove cohabitation for 2 years? Will this be an issue in the application? I don’t want to give the impression that it is a sham marriage. We have about 6875 pages of chats, several pictures as we have been together since 2018. Only issue is cohabitation

The immigration id check is sufficient , ok so but how do you now submit your passport to them unless I will. be told what to do when I start my application ?

You don’t need to submit your passport. You will be asked to download the id check app and prompted to scan your passport with your phone

Hello @. Babybenbay, kindly tell me if it was an extension or update you applied for and what were the documents demanded ? Did you also go to a visa application centre or the immigration id check was sufficient ? Thank you

Apologies but I don’t understand what you mean by an update or extension. I applied for the skilled worker visa as a switch from the graduate visa.
The immigration id check is very sufficient.

Am hearing there’s a delay for application made inside the uk, most especially the priority service.
Mine came in on Sunday night. Apparently it had been approved since the 17th of Sept

Is there anyone that applied for priority but yet to get a decision after the due date?

My sis in law applied from Nigeria for a visit visa, despite paying priority they delayed for over a month then served her a denial.

I also applied for a skilled worker visa although not priority. Tuesday will make it 7 weeks from within the UK and they are yet to get back to me.

Goodevening all,

I am just curious to know if has anyone here has brought their unmarried civil partner over as a dependent. If you have, how did you prove the relationship? What documents were submitted that proved the relationship?

Many thanks

how many denials? Any for the UK? If his own personal circumstances are not good and you want to join family too… they will be seen as absconders… very difficult to get visa with such profile.
The circumstances of the applicant is more important than the sponsor. … and that’s if the sponsor passes the financial checks

Thanks for your response. They have had multiple denials in various countries. Money isn’t really the problem with them. Despite the multiple property documents they always flag the bank statement.

Apologies if this has been asked before. Will it be seen as a red flag if I sponsor my 40 year old brother and his family for my wedding in the UK. They keep getting denied cause of bank statements.

Contacting the home office in the past used to be FREE.
Now you have to pay ?
Why is that ?
They basically DO NOT WANT YOU to contact them no matter what.
Contacting them means you are telling them to HURRY, if you want to have your decision made faster then PAY for it.
So with my above statement, is better you wait and let them decide in their own time or you keep calling to have it escalated, they record the number of times you call or send an email and that MAY or MAY NOT have your application decided quickly.
In some exceptional circumstances when you have waited for months let say beyond the standard 8weeks - 12weeks and your category shouldn’t be beyond that then you can call and ask for the progress but not when you are still within a reasonable 15 - 20 working days.
They are humans like us they do have bad days and happy days too.
It may not always be the case!
Take it Easy.

Thanks for your response. My Dad went for biometrics on the 14th of June for visit visa, we paid for priority and got a positive response on the 21st of June. My sister in law had her biometrics on the 15th, priority as well. We are yet to receive any updates. Will you advise I call as its past the 5 days stipulation.

justwise:

If you knew all this why did you go to the UK to study in the first place?

I guess you were one of those who believed that people were discouraging you from going to the UK.

Honestly, seeing his comments made me feel kinda sad but I checked his previous posts and noticed he has been pretty negative.

I got admitted to Glasgow Caledonian University and Robert Gordon University. I was able to defer to September 2021. Please are post graduate students in scotland eligible for the 2 years post study permit?
I plan to get some IT certifications like comptia, checkpoint and palo alto here before I start my application process. My first degree is petroleum engineering however I was admitted for Energy management. When I read the post of the guy who said healthcare is the moving sector at the moment, I felt a bit discouraged. Please can anyone tell me if any of these fields are lucrative or if my plans are valid? My people keep insisting on Canada but I have a refusal there already and I don't feel like trying again. I am having a hard time convincing them to accept the scotland offer because they feel UK can switch up and send us back. I really need advice. thank you
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by babybenbaby: 9:40am On Oct 11, 2020
I can send you my SOP and you can review it and see.
My sponsors were both my brothers; I had my living expenses in my account; 5.5m and a notarized gift deed letter to explain the lump sum deposit.
I used the student copy of my transcript which I scanned myself, same one I used to get the admission. I don't think if there were missing grades I will have gotten admitted.

Anon123:

The purpose of visit came from your sop

Finance: how much was in your account
Who was your sponsor

Go through your transcript, are there errors in or was it poorly printed out or scanned.

Chocs:
Hello Waliyusuff

A tip for working on your previous statement of purpose. Written by @lekkiboe

Guidelines on How to write an SOP (Statement of Purpose)

Most important thing: Avoid Plagiarism

While writing SOP, the following things to be mentioned which will boost chances of convincing a VISA OFFICER and possibly getting a STUDY VISA APPROVAL:

1. Introduce yourself in first paragraph. Write, what kind of person you are, your interests and personality etc. This may also include one line background of work & study you did earlier. This should be related to the course your are going to pursue.

2. Explain what do you know about the area of study you are applying for.
Like HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, Multimedia, Engineering etc. Market trends, application of knowledge in work, organisations/roles where you can work after studying in this XYZ field and if possible, 1-2 real life example where you experienced this personally (in your current job or someone in family who works in this field etc.)This shows you are well read and know what you are getting yourself into.

3. Now explain Why Canada.
Mention all points Canada is famous for like low crime rate, diversity (which helps in learning), livability and quality of life related statistics etc. Facts & figures help you here. Google a little

4. Why this particular college/Univ. Explain ranking of the same or relevance of course being offered or if someone known is studying there etc. Mention positive points which you can gather from ex-student's testimonials and college website itself. Again, write in your own language and by your own understanding.

5. Why this Program:
Mention why you chose this program. Explain how courses (subjects) of this course will help you in your career, how some of these subjects you have learnt earlier (basic knowledge) and need better and upgraded knowledge about these (especially if applying for PG/masters), explain application of subjects in real job scenario etc.

6. Summarize with reason of coming back to home country: Now summarize all details by mentioning your career goals and what will you do post completing this course.Mention how this course will help you in making your career in your home country. Be passionate about job market of your home country and coming back to your country. Because "You'll not leave Canada" is one of the biggest reason for Student Visa refusal.

7.Travel history
If u av not travelled bfor, state the reason why u av decided to travel at this point of ur life, and how important the program is to ur career & personal development back home

8.Family Ties-Hime ties
U can talk about how children are apparent to family inheritance, and how u are obliged to take care of ur family (parent and siblings). U can attach their birth certificates

Secondly, talk bout Landed Properties (Documents, deed of assignment, Deed of conveyance, survey plans and other important doc.) to of prove ur Hometies

9. Proof of Funds
Mention that you have paid ur tuition fee or made a deposit of ur tuition fee and so so as amount has bin set aside by your sponsor for ur Tution fee (if not yet paid), so so amount for ur One year Living Expenses (might be more than one year) and so so amount for ur flight itinerary

10. Final Note
U can end it like this or in ur own language
Dear Sir/Madam, I hope that you will find all my documents in proper order and I kindly request you to process my visa application as soon as possible. I am very much thankful to you for giving me your valuable time to process my student visa application.

Your Sincerely,
Write ur name and Surname

Happy Writing

Hi, I followed these guidelines back to back and still got denied. .I think these guys aren't interested in PGD people anymore cos the few people I have noticed that got approved are Masters with funding. I uploaded a copy of my denial reasons. The third reason, I don't even understand because I related courses I had done in the university, I uploaded my transcripts too, I even work in the same field. I have applied for my GCMS notes too. Please can I send you a mail to review my SOP
