Fashion / Re: Do Clothes Make A Woman? by babyx(f): 11:20am On Dec 15, 2009
Clothes dont make a woman, Character and posie does, but clothes depict your sense of style.
This is applicable to all sexes not just women alone. What we wear is as important as the character we show people.

Hey peeps, can someone give me tips on how to deal/manage a vindictive boss?
I have a situation on my hands, my boss is trying to punish me for NO just cause ! I haveworked with him for 10months straight and we didnt have issues, suddenly 2 weeks ago he started picking offence at the slight errors i make at work (even when it is not an error).
What does he want?, He is not my immediate boss as i report directly to the Head Admin but by virtue of the fact that he is the Senior Manager aside from d MD.
I got this job Feb this year, and i was thinking i should stay longer than over a year before i move on, but now am itching to change my employer.
What can i do? sad

Fashion / Re: Top Nigerian Makeup Artists by babyx(f): 4:39pm On Dec 11, 2009
Just went thru this thread from bottom to top. Did not find it very informative as i expected, to much trade-in-words. Haba Artist, give ur mentors a break. It is all ARTISTRY, and i have come to understand that make up as an art is expressed in various forms, from the use of eye shadows to powders and other tricks that bring out the beauty in the client.
I have max respect for those who have found their ART style and are expressing it (victims?, clients) :-)

Hello pple, TGIM short after TGIF? I used to look forward to Mondays, but now am not certain anymore.
For all those you have the usual monday morning meetings, i would like to know, Do you feel inspired or expired after the drillings of the meetings?, i mean those times in Performance Review Meetings when Managers shred you.
I just ended mine, i dont know what i feel. sad

Career / Re: What Book Has Changed Your Life The Most? by babyx(f): 2:38pm On Dec 02, 2009
The Purpose Driven Life - Rick Warren.
I read that book in 2007 and my perception about my walk n work on earth changed positively. I can bold say "Purpose Driven Life" formed the foundation for every other book i have read after it and even before it.

Career / Re: Workers - What's Your Plan B After Retirement? by babyx(f): 2:25pm On Dec 02, 2009
@Poster,
I think the first thing to do is fix a time frame as to how long you wanna work for money.

When that is done, u start n maintain a saving culture becos of the time frame u have set. While u are saving, u may also wanna split ur saving in 2 parts, the first part will be left untouched while the second part should go into investments like trade in stocks ( true the market is downm, but u can still do ur business if u get a good broker who will be honest with u when in comes to choosing stocks using certain parameters) and fix deposits, u may also consider annuity plans with Investment houses.

On the other hand, you can look inwards and find possible business areas that u have skills and character strength to manage, it could be in the area of sports, fashion, entertainment, public speaking, consultations, etc,

there are loads of stuff to do out there, all we need to do is to think, just one IDEA can make a world of difference,

Its a work in progress. smiley

Alrite, i will share. He is my Direct Boss. Inshort i have to many bosses to answer to here that i get confused sometimes.

Anyways i report to the Head, Admin n Gen Services, easy going boss, when you follow his instructions and come up with fresh ideas. This thing called office politics, how does it work? is it not another word 'shift the blame'?

Fashion / Re: Spotting A Good Make Up Artist Is Easy (check Out Her Brows) by babyx(f): 11:26am On Dec 02, 2009
@Noria, i think by n large ladies arent aware of the "eyebrow factor" much less identify a creative artist. Eyebrow defination varies from face to face. Ladies dont like to consult nor read abt this.
As an artist, i started out with my face, i have worn all shapes of brows until i was able to achieve that which suits me, plus i went to get trained!
Pls upload photos or brows that corresponds with face shapes, so we could analyse them.
