ZUBY77:
Hello Miss Hanna,
Your family donated large chunk of money to foist the stubborn economic terrorist we have as President of Nigeria now.
What business do you have hiding in Maryland when we have Universities here?
Please return. As a matter of fact, I am forwarding your name through Trump's Twitter handle.

No family member of any APC politician should be studying or getting medical help outside Nigeria.
I believe in one Nigeria.
If the sons and daughters of Indimi, Dantata, Dangote and Dan Fulani are outside Nigeria, is it the Almajirirs left at home that will make Nigeria great?
.....

Not to sound sensitive here but Mr. CramJones,
How many daughters of the Northern elites are you following on Facebook?
And the big question is WHY?

grin Ozoigbondu Don enter trouble today.

@Poster,

I love the idea of shopping online, cos i could be in more than one store at the same time. But am kinda disappointed that the products most times when delivered do not look as good as you same them online, most times they worn out or old! not to mention the risk of buying from a scam online shop site! sad

Career / Re: Rich Dad Poor Dad - An Impractical Book by babyx(f): 2:54pm On Jan 14, 2011
Ajanlekoko, you echo my exact thoughts on this matter.

I have read this book and i see nothing wrong with the content. True not everything in it is practical in Nigeria, but its advisable to read with to intent to understand as it addresses your own peculiar needs, in your peculiar working and living conditions. I dont find the material misleading because my reason for reading is to open my mind to possiblities, giving me the readiness to give my ideas a trial.

@ Poster, Rich Dad Poor Dad is not an impractical book, i beg to disagree.
Career / Re: Welcome To My Office by babyx(f): 2:35pm On Jan 14, 2011
@Jarus, nor be Microfinance Bank ooo na stockbroking firm,
@Tollu , am not certain if Pencom has the anonymous deal, on a second thought am considering moving to a firm with a better structure.
@Dayokanu, u too funny, one million nor fit but Kia Picanto talk more of Maserati, not even the tyre, besides, ur PFA wont release your contribution now until you have attained retirement age of 60yrs, since you are current employed just leave am. :-)
Career / Re: Welcome To My Office by babyx(f): 10:38am On Jan 11, 2011
@Jarus congrats on the new marital status, @Mrjingles, na my eye i dey shine wey this matter dey worry me so @Tollu, i don ask tire, @ netotse, yeah i get my statements + i can access my account online

I need mention at this point that i work in the Admin/HR Dept, as in closely to the HOD! i have spoken to my boss countless times over on this matter, but it appears He is not able to resound at the Mgt meetings the importance of remitting Staff Pensions.
I keep and maintain all staff PFA details and the remittance schedule that applys to these firms but not for once in the last 22mths have we paid a dime to these accounts, we have funds that am certain of as am privileged to access my company's' cash position on a weekly basis! unfortunately am a middle mgt staff and my voice cant do much to ensure that remittance are made. Nobody is taking funds illegally but my Mgt team is shortsighted in terms of Staff welfare!

My worry is that i have worked 24mths here and every time i log into my Pension account online am sad to see that the bottom line is not increasing :-(

i dont know what else to do undecided

@bettymafy,

Your friend has good dreams, sounds like a man with Ambitions.
Am not certain how people get to work with the NSE (their recruitment process), but i suspect its a Govt Parastatal. My advice is for him to define what he wants and how he wants to go about achieving it. The Ball is in his court!

focus is the key :-)
Career / Re: Career As A Stockbroker by babyx(f): 4:38pm On Dec 06, 2010
@bettymafy

Yes, i do know Meristem Securities, they are not doing badly considering the current state of the Stock market. Many stockbroking firms have since shut down operations, for those that are still in the market shows the strength of the business they run.
Career progression in a Broking firm is not a function of the job title you hold but rather your drive to learn the Market in fast pace, again it depends also on the type of structure the Stock broking firm has. For Meristem i don't know what the package is, but i do know that the Drivers earn as much as N50,000 monthly. So if you do the maths it means that Trainees might not earn less than 60k.

By and large, one shouldn't really concern oneself about what they pay, focus should be on if you meet/surpass their expectations, any sane employer will pay you your monies worth. The question i will ask your friend is 'Why does he want to change Jobs or industry'? again, does he qualify for the position he has applied for or being interviewed for?. Please note that employers will pay higher packages once they realize that the applicant is exactly what they are looking for.

Let him think, plan and pray.
