I believe since he spared some and ran after his ogas enemies; let the present ones ran after yaradua's enemies and OBJ friends; The next president will come, appoint his own who will ran after Yaradua's friends and his own enemies.and little by little all of them will be exposed instead of running after Ribadu

well done. So why Ribadu trying to insult our senses with his persecution?

He should endure what he melted out to enemies of his Boss and stop crying!

can anyone of his 'friends' tell us how he got money to buy bullet proof car?

I've got two things to say
the NGD Governor who bribed Ribadu is Ibori.
And the poster and hollandis are absolute fools.
peace!

Dont attack the messenger, provide better and convincing counter statement if you can!
Politics / Re: Ribadu Is Full Of Crap by back2back(f): 1:33pm On Sep 14, 2009
Seriously, the truth is that when you are in a position that Ribadu found himself, you cannot fight everyone. The best thing to do is to pick your battles. While I agree that he wasn't a saint and he himself has come out to say there are some things he would have done differently if given the opportunity, the fact remains he wasn't super man, he, like all of us, well at least most of us, is human!

exactly.

It just so happen those battles he picked were enermies of his oga: OBJ. What a load of CRAPS!!

He has the opportunity and BLEW it. He should spare us further insult and stay in his oxford.

I dont wanna sound like a pro Ribadu but since we are all basing our conclusions on the story we read from guardian, Im not sure I saw anywhere on the report that says it was a SUV? and Im not sure there's anything in the report that says it wasn't an official car?

dont distort fact.  statement is below again in BOLD:

One evening at about 6-6.30pm, I was driving alone on the road from Jos to Abuja in my car, which was a bulletproof vehicle. I noticed a little Japanese made of car following me

1. It is clear this is not Ribadu Official CAR!

2. 90% of bullet-proof car used in Nigeria are SUV. It stand reason to believe this is SUV

3. Even if not SUV, bullet-proof car are not less than N20million naira.

Where did Ribadu got the money from? How much did he get as EFCC chairman?

The guy has succesfully evaded Naija officials even coming down to Nigeria after he was declared wanted and leaving without anyone seeing him. That tells me simply that he knows his way around

He was never declared officially WANTED.

I really don't understand why people are bashing Ribadu

Nobody is bashing RIBADU but he should not come and insult our collective senses with his CRAPS.

why was Bode George(NPA fraud),  Iyabo OBJ, Annenih(Ministry of works fraud) and GoodLuck wife never arrested by his EFCC??
Politics / Re: Ribadu Is Full Of Crap by back2back(f): 7:55am On Sep 14, 2009
You got it wrong.
If he believed the jos police wanted him dead, it would have been a suicide for any sensible person to attempt to travel by road out of Jos.
After going through such a situation, it doesn't make any sense to travel by road out of jos. Do you know how many police check points are there between Jos and Abuja?
The right thing to do is to create as much as possible attention, have a lot of people around you and fly out of Jos as soon as possible.

You just don't travel by road alone at night in Nigeria (btw 6pm and 8pm) when you know that you're wanted dead.
Ribadu's story makes no sense as usual.

Gbam!!¨

Please Nlanders, where did Ribadu got the money to purchase a bullet proof SUV. . . . . Some of you were eager to query Soludo's source of wealth . , but blatantly decided not to do so when it comes to Ribadu.

Gbam! Gbam!! Gbam!!!

Can anyone pick glaring holes in this cock and bull story from Ribadu:

The former police officer wrote: "Whilst I was studying in Jos, an attempt was made on my life. One evening at about 6-6.30pm, I was driving alone on the road from Jos to Abuja in my car, which was a bulletproof vehicle. I noticed a little Japanese made of car following me.

"I pulled into a filling station and then pulled out again and noticed the same car, which had four (4) occupants, including the driver.

"The car pulled alongside me, the rear passenger window came down and one of the occupants aimed a pistol (firearm) at me and fired three (3) shots at my car. Fortunately, I was not hit and sped off."

He said he knew it was an assassination attempt on his life and decided to go back to Jos town, where he stayed for two or three hours, before returning to Abuja.

He continued: "I did not tell the police in Jos, because I believed (and still do) that they were behind the attempt on my life and when I say Police I mean the Inspector,

"If I went to any government agency, they would come under pressure if they helped me, people would lose their jobs.

"So I kept quiet and only told those close to me. The car still has the bullet marks."

He was shot at around 6.30pm

He did not report to Police; so no official record!

He decided to travel back to Abuja 2-hours after being shot at;which would be about 8:30pm.

Ummm, even superman would be so shaken that he would not attempt to make any such travel in day light talkless of dead-of-night in Nigeria within same day.

And why should people loose their job for official recording that a muder attept was made on Ribadu??

At best they would not act on it,

This guy is full of CRAP!!
Business / Thanks To Sanusi: Foreign Banks Reject Letters Of Credit From Nigeria by back2back(f): 11:20am On Sep 13, 2009
Industry sources say that banks now face even greater operational challenges than they did before the intervention of the CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

According to them, the sector faces more serious crisis of confidence, as the publication, which assumed credible Nigerian businessmen as chronic debtors, has inadvertently criminalised the operations of the banks.

Hence the correspondent banks decline confirmation lines for letters of credit opened by Nigerian banks on behalf of their customers.
Said one of the sources: "A bank is as good as its customers; so, if the businessman for which an LC is opened is deemed to be fraudulent, it means that Nigerian banks had been deceiving the correspondent banks.

"In fact, one of the foreign banks had to query its Nigerian agent for not informing it that one of the troubled banks had problems. But the bank (name withheld) never defaulted in any of its transactions with the foreign bank,"

Reacting to the development, Chief Executive Officer of Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, blamed the loss of confidence by foreign banks on the CBN forceful change of leadership and publication of the list of debtors by the apex bank.

Ohuabunwa said the CBN governor should have been more discreet in handling the matter.

Another source explained that the former Governor of the apex bank, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, might have observed the problem but, as an economist, chose to handle it more discreetly to avoid "throwing the baby away with the bath water."

Ohuabunwa expressed concern that the lingering loss of confidence could actually create gaps in importation and subsequently lead to high prices, especially for petroleum products.

Importers, who spoke to The Guardian, lamented the development and noted that if not nipped in the bud, the loss of confidence could lead to run-away inflation.

Those who say Ribadu is worth nothing should tell us why we should take them more seriously than the following organisations. Until then the debate is over.

indeed. may be they should give him their citizenship.

I took back my words where I said he should turn himself up. He is not OFFICIALLY DECLARED WANTED!

That said, these are true words:

There a a few others like ken saro wiwa, but i gave these few examples to show Ribadu's fans what a Hero is and their hero who boasted than that he was ready to die fighting corruption is now running and hiding like s scared crow, and they are making excuses for him.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Resurfaces In Nigeria! by back2back(f): 4:24pm On Sep 11, 2009
Stop talking bullshit. Every single person that has quoted you says its bullshit, so bullshit it is! It isn't even worth countering.

Indeed. What a logic.

Let him turn himself up to rule of LAW if he has nothing to hide.

It is that simple. We must learn to uphold LAW OF THE LAND.

If after Farida's request to INTERPOL Ribadu is still able to shuttle between 'US' and 'UK', adressing congressional committee in America, going on working visits to Liberia and liaising with the Liberian and other African Governments.

Thank you. I am a Nigerian, I dont dabble into UK/US politics. Let him obey our LAW.

So why cant he stay with his US/UK, instead coming here to visit GANI who all his life always obeyed the LAW.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Resurfaces In Nigeria! by back2back(f): 3:46pm On Sep 11, 2009
Ribadu is busy teaching other countries how to fight corruption and you want him to remain in a country where criminals like Ibori walk freely, a country where even the Attorney General is a disgrace to the legal profession and where the head of the anti corruption agency is a complete joke.

Let him turn himself up and face LAW of the Land if he has nothing to hide!

Gani he want to visit never runs away from LAW of the land.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Resurfaces In Nigeria! by back2back(f): 3:40pm On Sep 11, 2009
Strange viewpoint. You must think you are in America or the UK where the rule of law is sacrosant, You under-estimate the ill will against this man by the powers that be, from IBB to the current president.

I guess you mean the likes of Gani are foolish people??

This is moment of TRUTH, if RIBADU has nothing to hide, let me face his detractors in LAW Court!

Gani did it many times and won. We know and we appreciate his contribution to our life.

have an assignment for you: Go to your state Governor and tell him to his face he is corrupt let see what happens to you? RUBBISH!!!

there you go. Why should I do that when I have no SOLID EVIDENCE!

if Ribadu has clean hands, let him go to court of law and clear himself.

Is it not same court that helped him prosecute the people he was chasing??
Politics / Re: Ribadu Resurfaces In Nigeria! by back2back(f): 2:53pm On Sep 11, 2009
Nothing but criminal runs from the LAW of the land.

He is actually degrading Nigeria and you people are rejoicing.

Atiku(note, i don't care about him) stood his ground and went from court cases to court cases, that's strengthen Nigeria.

Abiola stood his ground. He gave us what is JUNE 12 today even though his dead.

Gani stood his ground. He gave us hope which is almost lost now.

Ribadu can step into Gani's shoes the moment he respect the LAW and turn himself up.

If RIBADU is HONEST, let him turn himself up to LAW and face his detractors in LAW court instead of sneaking around like common criminal he was busy chasing in his days.

NIGERIA is above anyone of us!
Politics / Re: Ribadu Resurfaces In Nigeria! by back2back(f): 11:46am On Sep 11, 2009
I guess RIBADU with this action has shown he is a criminal!

Here is a man that is wanted by Nigeria State(right or wrong is not my concern)

He should turn himself up like a LAW abiding citizen.

Gani that he came to visit always turn himself up. He never run away from the law.

Ribadu has shown that he is bigger than Nigeria. What a shame!!!

Foreign Affairs / Norway Pair Face Death In Congo by back2back(f): 4:35pm On Sep 08, 2009
Two Norwegian men have been sentenced to death in the Democratic Republic of Congo after being convicted of murder.

Joshua French, 27, and Tjostolv Moland, 28, were also accused of arms smuggling and espionage. They denied all charges.

They were held after their Congolese driver was found shot dead in May this year in the north-east of the country.

The two were ordered to pay $60m (£36m) damages. There was reportedly applause when the sentence was handed down at a military tribunal in Kisangani city.

Authorities back in Oslo have denied French and Moland were involved in espionage for Norway, and have expressed concern they were not receiving a fair trial.

"The court declares that all crimes are established in fact and in law, and sentences Tjostolv Moland to the death penalty, and Joshua French to the death penalty," an officer told the packed court, reports Reuters news agency.

Reports say French and Moland - former members of Norway's armed forces - had been trying to set up a private security firm in the DR Congo.

The pair have said their driver was shot and killed when their car was attacked by gunmen on the road near city of Kisangani.
Politics / Re: Why I Did Not Succeed Abacha - By Jerry Useni by back2back(f): 1:53pm On Sep 07, 2009
Those who said that he was a dictator do not know what they are saying. All this were the sayings of those people who felt that under Abacha’s regime they could not do what they wanted. Look at what is happening to banks today. Abacha saw it and if you remember the Failed Bank Tribunal, many bank chief executive officers and managing directors ran away from this country. People don’t know and this was over 10 years ago. And over these years Abacha still remains the topic of discussions.

And, if Abacha had remained in the system, we wouldn’t be buying a dollar for N158. If Abacha were still alive, we wouldn’t have been borrowing from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). But IMF would have been borrowing from us by now. During Abacha regime, we never borrowed even a penny from anybody. In fact, all the international financial institutions closed down their offices in Nigeria because they had nothing doing. The West does not want us to progress because we were on the verge of growing to the extent that we would be helping other countries.

So, this so- called dictatorship is nothing but propaganda against him and his regime. They were using the Abacha government to hide their own misdeeds under the carpet. Look at what is happening in our democracy now were people’s votes don’t count. If they said, the first time in 1999, was due to the fact that it was organised by the military, then what about the happenings in 2003 and 2007 that turned out to be the worst. I think, there is no other forms of dictatorship worst than this kind of dictatorship where people are denied their rights to vote their leaders

A Tale of Two Countries

After world War 2, Japan's reputation was in the abyss at an all time low.
How did they fix it? By massive industrialization, a resolve to abstain from the horrors of war and a focus on economic improvement.

Nigeria has a not unfounded reputation for 419 scams. How do we resolve this? Why, by writing petitions of course!
