Politics / Re: $2.5m Scam: Varsity Graduate Bags 12 Year Jail Term by back2back(f): 6:10pm On Nov 10, 2009
the Mother of one of the boys broke down cos she is a Judge, so its not about poverty but sheer greed.

exactly, has it occurred to you, it could also be due to peer pressure?

That is why a good society will look if the person is first time offender(mis-led, peer pressure etc) or repeat offender(sheer greed, beyond redeemption etc).

12yrs is unfair for the boy who has not even STOLEN any money!
Politics / Re: $2.5m Scam: Varsity Graduate Bags 12 Year Jail Term by back2back(f): 2:30pm On Nov 10, 2009
So going by your logic, since the killers of Marshall Harry and Bola Ige have gone scot free, we should free all the murderers in jail and give first time murderers aa very lenient sentence, eh?

Financial crime and murder are far and wide apart.

First time offenders are VERY different from repeat offenders

And when is your EFCC bringing OBJ to book for our $16bil?

Same EFCC that is happy to jail a kid for $12years who has not actually stole ANY MORE?
Politics / Re: $2.5m Scam: Varsity Graduate Bags 12 Year Jail Term by back2back(f): 12:03pm On Nov 10, 2009
Investigation shows that Nwanya was soliciting information on the financial status of unsuspecting victims. A thorough search on him and his residence led to the recovery of a parcel containing an international cashier valued at $2 million, a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) draft valued at $500,000 in the name of one Mr. B.R. Butler, a United Kingdom International Passport bearing the name of one Jaxkson Phillips Dennis as well as scanned United States dollar documents.

What does the above in BOLD means?

If this fellow is first time offender, then it is unfair for 12years.

OBJ stole $16bill nothing happened, Annenih stole N300billion, nothing happened.

We should correct our youth and channel their skills to benefit NIGERIA positively and not some yeye sentencing!
Politics / Re: Nigeria Has Gone Mad! by back2back(f): 9:53am On Nov 10, 2009
Why should Nigeria allocate crude oil to 'African Brothers' that do not like us.

Why cant Nigeria sell these 'african brothers' refined petroleum product??

We could use them to provide employment for our jobless folks and reduce armed robbery, area boyz etc.
Politics / Nigeria Has Gone Mad! by back2back(f): 8:56am On Nov 10, 2009
Many African countries do not like us but how do you accept this:

The minister said that Nigeria had received many requests from “our African brothers” seeking crude allocation, noting that President Umaru Yar’Adua had consistently felt that those requests should be viewed positively, particularly where there is capacity for refining crude oil. Responding, the Senegalese delegation led by Sarr affirmed that his country was indeed a success story with regard to having a refinery producing at optimal capacity. He attributed the achievement to valuable advice given by President Yar’Adua to his delegation comprising the management of the refinery in August 2007 about how a corporation should be managed. He said this advice led to the turnaround of a once comatose refinery. According to Sarr, Yar’Adua assured that their refinery would receive the crude oil to be refined directly from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), thereby discarding the practice of selling the contract for lifting oil to traders.

And finally this:

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Odein Ajumogobia, has disclosed that Nigeria is considering the possibility of processing some of its crude offshore to make petroleum products directly available to the country. He explained that the economy has grown bigger than the country's refining capacity hence the need to look into other available options. The minister argued that even if all refineries are working at optimal capacity, Nigeria would probably be importing more than 40 per cent of its requirement given the economic expansion. Ajumogobia spoke yesterday when he received a six-man delegation from Senegal led by their Minister of Energy and Bio-fuels, Mr. Samuel Amete Saar, in his office at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.

@Ibime,

That is good to know.

Make sure you get his views and have it recorded for posterity.

There should be a proper re-visit to these 'real' Africans.

"Don't forget in those days we were very loyal Brits - stupid as that may sound now," Mr Culverwell says. "We were brainwashed into being little brown Britishers."

Others were conscripted. They were picked up when they went to visit a local market or on the orders of a local chief

By 1945 the war was over, African troops had helped the allied powers defeat Germany, Italy and Japan.

Sad how generation of african leaders to come forgot about these people!
Politics / Re: Colo-mentality And Lawyers White Wig! by back2back(f): 3:52pm On Nov 05, 2009
Nigeria adopted the English legal system and has the same traditions as the English because it it. If you don't like it, go and take up sharia for the national legal code.

And who legal system did English adopted??

Thats exactly what is colo-mentality.

These lawyers really need to think out of the box!
Politics / Colo-mentality And Lawyers White Wig! by back2back(f): 9:46am On Nov 05, 2009
I thought slavery and colonialism ended in 1960.

Below is the picture of Nigerian lawyer still wearing these rubbish 'white' wigs on their head!

Can they think of anything else creative?

What a sorry back people!

Politics / Re: Fg Revokes Lands Allocated By El-rufai - News by back2back(f): 3:36pm On Nov 03, 2009
Here is another person that was highly praised in Nigeria for all that he did. A few reserved their comments because we all know that, no Nigerian leader will ever leave power without soiling his name. It is the same man, that was given awards all over the world, and was later discovered that all the so-called land revocation and re-allocation was in his own favour. It was still thesame El-Rufai, that allocated land to a 3 year old baby. Nobody said anything.

Gbam! Gbam!! Gbam!¨

We are the Ribadu, El Rufai advocates

These guys and their ex-puppet master, OBJ should be back to where they belong. Kanura Namoda Prison!!!

Politics / Re: Ribadu Lodged $15m Ibori’s Bribe With CBN – Waziri by back2back(f): 1:17pm On Nov 02, 2009
"On the day that James said that he was going to give me money, I told my colleagues and we went to Andy Uba’s house, James (Ibori)was there and his servant or driver brought out the money from the house, in two (2) massive sacks containing US$100 dollar bills. My staff took possession of the money, I told my staff to take the money to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) where it was counted and lodged as an exhibit.”

Ribadu could have ARRESTED IBORI right there.

Infact, he should have stationed POLICE around the place and once money handed-over every one get arrested.

That is what a dummy POLICEMAN would do, if he is truly HONEST!

Looking at above, IBORI has no case to answer. Uba should provide answers.

Too Many Questions:

1. What was $15million doing in Andy Uba's house?

2. Same Uba was caught in USA laundering money for OBJ using Nigeria Presidential Jet.

3. Ribadu knew money was waiting for him as he did not show any suprise.

4. Since Ribadu and Uba are OBJ boys, it makes sense that they were trying to frame him.

5. The only person that can afford to 'forget' $15million(N2billion) in Nigeria has to be 'OBJ and his cohort.

If above is all Ribadu had against IBORI, no wonder he failed to nail him!

I dont like Ibori or Ribadu but I open my eyes and be objective about issues.

And does that mean she should not get punished?

Nigeriand have a way of bringing down people once they leave the spotlight. I'm sure you were one of the people singing his praise when he was doing the bank consolidation. Now you opening you mouth to day he was never a hero!

another CRAP from Ribadu!

Shame on you, Ribadu.

Next should be that Benin man call Annenih!
Politics / Re: Lawmakers Ask Armed Robbers To Declare Temporary Ceasefire by back2back(f): 9:21pm On Oct 29, 2009
it is not the job of law makers to enforce the law or catch criminals.

it is the Police that has failed.

This man is simply BOLD enough to cry and call for HELP, albeit from the armed robbers.

He did something, rather than do nothing!

In as much as what he said sounds 'stupid', it is an indictment on the Nigerian Police and FG.
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Economy May Out Grow South Africa's Economy By 2012 - Sanusi by back2back(f): 2:31pm On Oct 28, 2009
If the 6,000 MW pomised by Yar Adua translates into steady 24hr power supply, then it's possible.

This must be a joke.

It is not possible in 20years for Nigeria economy to outgrow South Africa.

SA uses 17million MW and Nigeria uses only 3,000MW.

How do Sanusi/Yaradull plan to raise 17,000,000MW in 20years?

OBJ spent $16billion in 8years and produced only 3000MW

These guys in Government have no CLUE!
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Economy May Out Grow South Africa's Economy By 2012 - Sanusi by back2back(f): 11:40am On Oct 28, 2009
The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Lamido Sanusi, has projected that the Nigerian economy will be bigger than that of South African by 2012.

This fellow is full of CRAP!!!

He should be removed as CBN Governor for that statement.

What pack of non-sense.

Why do we always believe ROME was built in a day?
Foreign Affairs / EXPOSED: Castro's Sister 'spied For CIA' by back2back(f): 12:41pm On Oct 27, 2009
A sister of Cuba's former long-time leader, Fidel Castro, has admitted spying for the CIA in the 1960s.

Juanita Castro, who now lives in Miami, said she had gathered sensitive information for the US for three years.

"Did I feel remorse about betraying Fidel by agreeing to meet with his enemies? No, for one simple reason: I didn't betray him. He betrayed me," she wrote.

Obasanjo had criminal record.

Gani had criminal record.

So not new to that.

Where is the link to this story!

I suspect he will go for 6months and get paddoned by Yaradul.

He would have washed himself clean since you cant be tried twice for same offence.

He would be free to contest as Governor of Lagos in 2016!

Business / Re: Sanusi Says: Bank CEO's Should Be Tied To Stake And Shot Dead. by back2back(f): 2:14pm On Oct 24, 2009
The Tribune article says debtors. The Guardian article says Bank CEO's. I think Sanusi is refering to the CEO's not the debtors.

Either debtors or Bank CEO, for that statement, SANUSI needs to be sacked with IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

The statement shows that Sanusi is not neutral and therefore cannot carry out any meaningful task that we represent NIGERIANS.

Who is he to determine who should be shot and who should stay alive??

Even Bush with his madness never said that 'Bin Laden' deserves to be shot: 'We will smoke him dead or alive out from his caves!
Politics / Re: Shareholders Have Lost Their Investments In Troubled Banks – Sanusi. by back2back(f): 2:02pm On Oct 24, 2009
The fellow Sanusi is full of CRAP!

The Banks need to die first before the shareholder loose their investment!

Those banks are still intact with same name!

They have not file for Bankruptcy or insolvency!

Nigerians should rise up against this rubbish; back door TAKE OVER of other people's sweat!

At worst, the shares are being held in custody by FG for the shareholders and when situation improves FG has to sell back the shares if they have acquired it in the first instance!

What a banana country.
Politics / Re: South Africa Request Nigerian Teachers by back2back(f): 1:55pm On Oct 24, 2009
As a result the Minister said there is plan to assist the South African Government in salvaging its educational system by offering to recruit some teaching staff from Nigeria that would be interested in going to the country to teach in due course.

very sad.

when is Mr Minister and Yara-Dull going to salvage NIGERIA EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM??

is he working for Nigerians or for South African?

Why cant Minister ask the SA to send their children to come and school in Nigeria?

In that way, we make money and use that to improve our system!!!

What a country!
Foreign Affairs / Re: The Man: Thomas Isdore Noel Sankara by back2back(f): 10:31am On Oct 24, 2009
Sankara change the name from upper volter to Burkina Faso(Land of Upright People).

He started very well compare to many AFRICAN theives.

He never changed is battered car and his mother remain road-side food seller while his father always ride his old bicycle to his farm.

He showed to all you dont have to steal to be a leader in Africa, sadly, 1987 he was killed by his trusted friend Blaise Compaore who remains President till today and still full supported by AU and WEST.

Nobody in AFRICA or WEST condemn this brutal killing rather they backed Compaore!
