Dear Nairalander, my sister had a B.Sc in Zoology couple of years ago and she couldn't find a work place that befit her course of study, she went further to obtain her Masters in Parasitology hopping to increase her chance of employment alas she still cannot find a befitting workplace. Shes presently working as a casual staff in a law firm earning a peanut and shes worried about not using her certs to get a befitting job. I am a zoologist, A proud product of uniben and i work in an international Organization as a supply chain specialist.
Your first degree is just to open your mind, what worked for me was that i had a strong ssce in sciences which enable me to quickly adapt to the opportunities in the market. My degree enable me to be shortlisted but my ssce enable me battle with my fellow candidates during assesment .
Having said the above, i bought books in marketing, law, quantitative techniques, accounting, finance management and did alot of self study, so at times its not just the number of degrees you have but you must also be prepared at all times because opportunity favours the prepared.

I have read it in different history books from secondary and even my days in tertiary institution.

In benin parlance.. kings are born not made. you don't accidentally become oba of benin, you are groomed from birth. in other words the crown prince Eheneden Erediawa has been representing the Oba of Benin for over 5years now in public functions. Since Obaship in most parts of this country is from father to eldest son, Eheneden Erediawa is the next oba of benin and his conferment of Edaikhen N'uselu is the last stage before he ascends the throne. He might be coronated this year if indeed the rumours of the oba having died last last year is true. so if you like recognise am, if you like no recognise am, he is the next oba by virtue of his birth. you no notice say most influential folks don dey align with am since.

I don't agree with the notion that demand and supply is the reason for high cost of properties in most part of Lagos. There are tens of thousand properties laying bare for months and years without anyone buying them. So where is the demand for these properties? Greed is the only reason why properties are being listed for unreasonable amount of money in Lagos.

Sometime last year, there was a thread where a guy listed a semi-detached home for 60M Naira without front or backyard and the guy listed 3M Naira or so as service charge. This particular house shouldn't cost more than 20 Million Naira to build. There are thousands of such properties in Lagos and Abuja sitting without anyone to buy them. The cost of properties in Lagos and Abuja are artificial. They don't reflect the true value of those properties.

The property was a two plots of land with an eyesore three bedroom bungalow on it. I took it upon myself to lambast the lady on that particular thread. I look at other posts of this lady and I found that she was begging for someone to help her fix her phone she bough for 8,000 Naira. In fact, the lady was saying in the thread that her daughter asked her to throw away the phone and buy another one but she can't afford to pay for a new phone.
