Ecu learning is not a big deal, any technician in the radio department or laptop can fix it. But the issue is with parts and viability of the business. ECU is board with ICs and necessary components like heatsinks, diodes, resistors etc.

What I noticed is our technicians are now lazy they don't study the boards like before and trace circuits like those I know 20 years ago. Now nah to replace bad circuit nobody get time to do hard work and hard work used to pay back then.

It's way more than that bro, the ecus u are talking about are the very old ones, newer models go bad due to different issues, software, hardware. Under hardware the least is a damage on the circuit, ics (drivers) can go bad due to many issues. It's actually a wide scope of study

I blame the lagos state government for not demolishing that building right after it was sealed off. They had the duty to protect lives and failed at doing that. Unfortunately this is Nigeria where anything goes.

Lagos state govt always seals any building once the paper work is not complete, once u can complete it i.e aprovals ajs permits etc it can be reopened.

Its easily done, but it comes with some flaws. A mechanical key is put in the ignition and the top cut ,key is always on so the steering does not lock. The aftermarket smart key system does not have electronic steering lock . also it will have a bypass system to complete the security loop of the original starting system ,meaning a chip is within the car that can always start the car. A good electrican can remove all that crap and hot wire the car with the chip used in the bypass system
