For those with echolink plus abra card,if you have problem of Art not working,just load the recent software i.e 23/12/2008,leave the decoder on on any art channels for sometime,usually 10 minutes to 2 hours,it will come up. Dont waste your time loading one software or the other.

I have not really sat down to try other satellites to see wether something will come. I will keep you posted for any new development.

The beauty of 2.4 is that it is easier to track with than 1.8,but is not easy doing it alone. I will post the pic later

After much wahala here and there, I was able to motorise my  2.4m on saturday. I got nile full signal,hotbird about 200 channels,eurobird(orbit package) about 20 channell 90% english. The work was so tideous since am alone. So for those with 2.4m dish(I use strong) I advice you go for motorise,but it needs maintanance once in a while.

For those who crazy about hotbird,I dont see any thing special there,if you have nile. All the channels you can get in nija cannot match nile. As for w2 16 degree east I tried all without success,but a friend in kebbi is watching them with 2.4m pan.

The 2.4 motorised system moves from thaicom to 45 degree west. The sinal is very encouraging.

I was able to track hotbird yesterday nigth with my 2.4m dish. the signal level was encouraging,I got over 200 channels including art sports and movies. I also got almost all the sky italian package.

The signal range is between 51-65%,there are lots of other tps that may move later. the eurobird in question is that of 25.5 d east very close to arabsat,the signal level is sometime higher than nile,but most of th channels are blocked,excep you have abracadabra card you wont enjoy it. The best way to enjoy it is to motorise you dish.

It is not that am quite on what I know,it is the rule of the house that we should becareful on the kind of info we pass to the forum. Although I have some reservations concerning that. Of the hundreds of forum I visited, I have never seen any that restrict someone from passing info except some bar you from pasting keys which is normal. ask pple that have met me face to face,I dont hide info. Infact if I assist to instal,I do it in such a way that you can do it yourself next time.

Please don't take this issue personal,I only air my opinion base on what I read about the echolink online. What I said was"becareful when buying there are a lot of clone in the market". Right now some one brought one to my house for upgrade but we can't becouse it couldnot take the software and rigth now art is not working. So I didnt advice any one to buy here or there. Wether some one has been using gama card on dstv or not is not connected to the topic. I have been watchin dstv pas 7/10 for long am not new as far as satellite is concern. If you observe me very well I dont devote my time so much for fta,Am more interested on advance form of satellite. Who broke the arrival of echolink to the forum? Am not an expert as installation is concerned I just involve my self as a hobby. We are all here to acquire and pass knowledge let it stop at that

Good day house,after convincing my land lord,I ve finally installed my 2.4m dish on nile on saturday. I did the final allignment on sunday. my signal strength are as at 3.pm (sunday): Bbc 56%,Art sport 57%,E on showtime 70%.I got mbc persia  to be 58% but it has inverse relationship with horizontal signal,so I have to let it go. My weakest signal is sky news which is 53%.

I was in folo's house,I assisted him with his 3m dish,the signal is ok but the location of the dish does not give room for skewing the lnb. I got showsport to almost 36% on old strong but tregedy almost happened,I almost fell from the roof top,so I ve to give up.

what is baffling me with nile in lagos is that,the same level of signal strength i got in the north with 1.8m is what am getting in lagos with 2.4m but show sport refuse to show. In the north when bbc is between 55% to 60% ,you will get showsport  to be between 51 to 58%.

This your post has k leg inside o,the reason why I doubt your post is that,you cant get pas10 c and Itv on the same c-band Lnb,one need dielect the other one doesnt. It is not possible to get nile on motorise in place like lagos,you know I know even in far north where the signal is high,on motorise you have to reduce some satellites to allow others to move. If you tell me that you got them independent of others them I may agree. So always tell pple the exact of what you got. This is not a show man forum,it is mature minds forum.

This kind of thing is happening worldwide so nigeria should not be exception. I have been using one mode or the other to watch premier league since 1999. It started with tv africa,to sky feed,tv cabo,showtime,dstv pass 7,super sport nova greece etc. The most interesting aspect of it is to be dynamic. When one door closes another door will open. Try to make research on what is happening worldwide on free to air. As for me there most be something to watch for free. Even in europe the same story goes,tvcabo,d+ spain,premire have all gone with no new keys and may be soon art-showtime will soon be going. So you need to be looking for another alternative.

As I always say if you want to enjoy free to air,go for bigger dish and a better decoder. So rdv is just one of the many stations showing the league for free

It is better you two different dishes for sirus and ew3,though,they are very close ew3 signal is not that stable,so you need a dedicated dish for it. The experiment will only favour those with 1.8m and above. If you want to compare them to nss7 and intel 906,they are not comparable. nss 7 signal is much and stable with even 60cm you can get up to 70,the same goes for intel 906 then. If you reduce both of them to like 60,you can enjoy them. But in the case of ew3,any attempt to reduce the signal,msnbc will not come up.

Feeds finders,when ever a match is going on ,try blindscan the following satellites you may be lucky: nss7,ew3,intelsat7/10,nss703.

Final advice,if you want to enjoy free to air very well,you need motorised 1.8m and above for research purpose.

pas 7/10c is easy to track,but first of all get ur self another single cband lnb,I dont trust that double lnb,remove the dielectric,your dish must almost rich ground east. Use this frequency 4064h 19850. As for nss 7 c-band you have to put back the dielectric and use cnn frequency. Again you need a good lnb,both c and ku

why are you wasting your time chassing hitv. I will like to share this professional advice with you. If you are residing in lagos or western Nigeria and you have a space in your house,try to lay your hand on 3m dish=30k,Fuji Lnb=2.5k,Strong Receiver-7.5k, a valid showtime card for 12 months 46k,you are ok with premier league.If already you have a receiver you dont need to buy. showtme show all matches live in english language, you dont need to que to pay. No reloading,once the card xpired you buy another one. For those in the north 1.8m dish is ok for you.
