NeoWanZaeed:Nah...it's not cause of revenge Eren in season 2 promises Reiner that he will make sure he dies in the worst possible way... (Image 1) In season 4 when they met and Reiner asked Eren if that was what Eren wants to do...revenge and to carry out his promise... Eren dismisses that he did say that, but that since he crossed the sea he discovered that not everyone is his enemy, there are innocent people too in Marley...and Marley is really no different from Paradis... (Image 2) Eren kept pushing Reiner till Reiner admitted to Eren that he actually attacked Paradis because of himself and he wanted to be seen as a hero. He begged Eren for forgiveness... Then Eren replies that they are indeed the same... (Meaning Eren isn't attacking for revenge...but because he wants to do it) - image 3 and 4 The way the conversation is written...it usually takes multiple viewings to get what Eren is saying... It's in season 4 Episode 5 "Declaration of War"
|
NeoWanZaeed:How many days will that take? ![]() |
oyaskii:I mostly don't have an issue with Asian faces...maybe it's because I'm used to them... I'll still give Dark another go... |
toluxe0075:Honestly, I just started X-Men 97 today after hearing all the hype about Episode 5 and I'm surprised by how it's been...I'm done with the first 2 Episodes... It's more mature than I expected tbh... |
oyaskii:This show has been on my watchlist forever... But the time I tried it I was struggling with character faces...these German characters all looked the same to me... But I will definitely give it another try someday |
NeoWanZaeed:It was just a book that Armin showed him... A book of Armin's dream of the outside world... A book that highlighted Armin's curiosity of the outside world... Eren saw those sights as freedom he desired. And when he reached the basement and saw that instead of what was in those books, it was enemies that were outside the walls, Eren sought to destroy them all... You can't pin that on Armin...Armin could have shown Jean or Connie the book and they won't do what Eren did... |
NeoWanZaeed:Why do you keep calling him Amir? ![]() It's Armin...he's not a middle eastern ![]() And you can't blame Armin for that...Armin had curiosity about the outside world...and he discovered his grandfather's illegal book that showed those places outside the walls... He was excited and showed the book to his best friend Eren... He believed that Eren shared his curiosity for the outside world too... But what Eren dreamed of was more twisted than that... |
NeoWanZaeed:In Dr. Strange's case, he knew they'd be brought back... In Paul Atreides case, they aren't coming back... The billions who die as a result of his Holy War aren't coming back That's why Dr Strange is a hero...but Paul isn't a hero |
NeoWanZaeed:I don't think Ramzi's death had anything to do with Eren's mother. I think you mixed up the name... Ramzi is an innocent refugee kid who was stealing to save up money for his family... Ramzi died for what he doesn't know about... Image attached By Amir, You mean Armin? Armin is not the cause of the Rumbling... Armin just blamed himself because he fed Eren's desire for freedom without understanding it's implications... And Armin had failed to understand Eren and what he was going through... It was still Eren's choice at the end of the day...
|
DieRich5:In Dune, I think Paul Atreides is becoming the bad guy...he is becoming a Tyrant already. He will end up becoming worse than those he has been fighting... Similar to how Eren did worse than what Marley did... His excuse is that it's the only way as all other futures lead to loss...but we only hear that from him...and maybe it's truly the only way ...who knows... I think that's why some people cannot blame him no matter what he does... From what we can see, it's getting beyond revenge...he has already acheived revenge but he will have to do more to survive because he's going to fight the other houses... For Eren, I think regardless of whether Eren saved Ramzi or not, the Rumbling will happen no matter what... There are many factors that led to the Rumbling but the main one is because Eren wanted to do the Rumbling... Nobody on Paradis considered destroying the entire world before Eren. It was Eren's choice to do it that brought about support from the Yeagerists... We even see how Eren rejected the 50 years plan. The 50 years plan was supposed to release a few Wall Titans to threaten the world for 50 years meanwhile Paradis would use the time to upgrade their military and their technology with help from Hizuru and would also seek allies and enter negotiations... The only cost was that they'll have to keep passing a Titan through the royal bloodline and the founder (thus 2 Titans) for 50 years...Historia and her descendants will keep eating each other... Small price to pay tbh...so a good plan on paper... But Zeke who proposed the plan didn't want it...Zeke secret plan was Euthanasia... Eren also didn't want it...Eren wanted Rumbling... So yeah, it didn't matter what happened with Ramzi...Eren had decided on the Rumbling already even though he was feeling guilt for it |
hersarhn:The first 2 seasons of Breaking Bad were pretty boring tbh... I even quit for about 2 years...then returned and continued and it picked up from season 3 |
NeoWanZaeed:The two characters are from 2 different anime. Obito from Naruto And Yuta from Jujutsu Kaisen |
@ DieRich5 I also recommend this video... A lot of people like to claim Eren had no choice but to do the Rumbling... This video explains things in chronological order all the events that led to the Rumbling... The main orchestrators of the Rumbling were Eren and Zeke... The Rumbling was very avoidable but these 2 people pulled a lot of strings to destroy every other plan to save Paradis... especially the 50 years plan... I recommend it... It's not directly based on our discussion...but it's very important imo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pbyfmcUhQs?si=S58L77KewjgWpQBj |
Baddestguyp:@ DieRich5 In Attack on Titan, No external force determines the future... The future is determined by choices of characters. Eren is bound by his own nature which leads him to make those choices...that's why he calls himself a slave to freedom. Because the idea of chasing freedom is what pushed him forward...but at the same time it's what bound him to his fate... It is the same way YMIR's fate was bound by her choice to save King Fritz instead of her children. No one forced her to do it...she made the choice. Her choice born out of her fûcked up love for Fritz. I don't know if you recall the Alley scene where Eren saves the kid Ramzi from Marleyans beating him for stealing. The alley scene with Eren watching Ramzi getting beat up explains it. Eren says he knows he will save Ramzi and still kill Ramzi. Eren makes an attempt to walk away...but ultimately his nature won't let him leave Ramzi there...so he ultimately saves him. If Eren ultimately wanted to change the future...he would have walked away ...but he didn't. He couldn't because of who he is. And because of who he is...that's why he saw the future of him saving Ramzi in the first place. And because of who Eren is, the future is set in stone...and has happened and will happen and the future cannot be changed Even if Eren didn't see those memories he would have still carried out the Rumbling... because his nature would lead him to carry out the Rumbling. Eren cannot free himself from his nature and his desires...he became trapped by them from the day he was born... In other words, from the day Eren was born, the Rumbling was fated to happen... not because of anything else...but because of who Eren is... This is why even during his final conversation with Armin, Eren admits that he wanted to do it... Eren cannot change the future because the future he saw was set in stone by his own nature and his own desire for freedom... Eren is a slave to this his desire for freedom... Check 3rd image below Remember Kenny Ackerman's speech in season 3 that everyone is a slave to something...some people money, women, family, power, etc... Eren is a slave to freedom... From the moment Eren was born, he had that burning desire to be free...but he never fully understood how trapped he was until he saw Armin's book about the outside world... When Eren saw the book, he ascribed that freedom he desired as the plain sights he saw in that book... That is why during the final conversation, Armin tries to take some blame from Eren because it was Armin that unknowningly ascribed freedom for Eren to be those sights in the book... If you also recall during the Season 2 Episode 12, when they discovered Eren had the coordinate (founding Titan) after touching the Titan that ate his mum (Dina Fritz), Reiner said that "Eren is the worst person in the world to have that power" Because Reiner knew the type of person Eren is. When Eren met Reiner in season 4 Episode 5 "Declaration of War"... Reiner asked Eren if he came to Marley for revenge...Eren said no...that he is there for the same reason as Reiner was... Reiner admitted that he actually broke the walls and did the things he did not because Marley ordered it...but because he wanted to do it... Eren then said "I knew it, we are the same"

DieRich5:@ bolded...First of all, you're repeating what I typed. I literally said the same thing that Eren could only see one future because in Attack on Titan, there's only one timeline...there are no multiple timelines... * Check image for what I typed... Secondly, what you wrote about Eren desperately trying to find another way is actually false in my opinion... I believe it was just an excuse Eren used to justify his actions... I'll quote this post and explain further

TopeQs:I think the Midway point of the movie was extremely rushed. It felt that way to me...and I said it in my review too... We barely see enough exploits of Paul before his name spread far and wide and was causing fear in the North. Baptista's scenes felt like weird comedy that didn't fit the tone of the movie. What did the new guy Feyd-Rautha do that's so special? How did he even track down the Fremen's Northern base that he attacked it easily? The Fremen are known to be able to hide so well that they're almost impossible to find...yet this guy found it in seconds and bombed it |
blingxx:I wouldn't call them the same, but there are a lot of thematic similarities between both characters... But weirdly enough, even though Isayama has named many works that inspired him to write Attack on Titan, he has never mentioned Dune. Who knows if Dune's popularity even made it to Japan. It's likely he had never even heard of it... Especially since he named Game of Thrones but not Dune |
