Should I continue with the formular and breast milk... coz I don’t think I can do exclusive breast feeding with him. However I think he eats too much for a one week old baby oo. I’m even scared... he can suck for like one hour and still keep on crying. Even my nipple is paining me now... and even when we supplement it with formular . Within 2 hours he’s crying again. I don’t want to over feed him . What can I do

Hi mum. Pls be patient with him. His eating too much is helping to increase your breastmilk supply and getting you ready for cluster feeding which eventually leads to growth sprut. Breastmilk is naturally easy and faster to digest and that is why exclusive breastfed babies eat every one and a half to two hours. Your nipple is paining you because you don't lubricate and practice a good latch. Try putting your areola together with your nipple in his mouth. Will attach a picture of how to go about it. Also pls use a nipple cream. Constant rubbing of your dry skin nipple on your bra can cause blisters together with the friction caused by your baby sucking.

Pls do not panick when your baby starts losing weight in the first couple of days/weeks. Its not because you are not producing enough milk. Its because Babies are born with extra fluid in their tissues to hold them over until mom’s milk comes in. They typically lose 5-7% of their weight in the first couple of days as their bodies excrete the extra fluid. For the average baby, this is close to a half a pound weight loss often more for larger babies.

We need our full hair back asap

Wear her a silk cap when she is sleeping or use silk pillow cases. It protects her hair from tangle and breaking off from the constant rubbing off on cotton material. Massage! Massage! Massage the spot regularly with coconut oil or castor oil. Also our hair needs moisture so get a spray bottle and put a bit of water 2 spray her hair before u apply oil then cream or cream then oil whichever works well for her type of hair.

The only way is when the milk starts flowing, just look at the colour, it should be slightly off white, and light (not thick like cows milk oh!). If it's any other colour like blue, red or fuschia pink, it's not healthy

Breastmilk color changes depending on the food a mum eats. E.g if a mum eats beetroot then her breastmilk will most likely look pink in color. Same way if she eats lots of greens. Colostrum which is the first milk a mum produces is yellow in color. This later changes to fore milk which is white and then hind milk which is off white. The only time u shud be worried about ur milk color is when u have a serious case of mastitis where ur duct gets to burst so blood is mixed with milk but then again research says its still safe for baby to drink but if u r not comfortable then u can pump and dump.

1st of all i will like to say well done mum! U r doing a good job! Pls dont judge the quantity of milk ur body produces based on breastpump. It will interest u to know dat ur baby with a good latch is capable of sucking much more quantity of milk from you than breastpump. So relax, eat healthy and nutritious food, drink lots of water and fed ur baby.

Ive been using stage 3, Recently started Dano full cream at 15months. I use the scoop from stage 3 nan to dish twice. I give biosea cod liver oil.

I probably should just use this opportunity to come out from hiding..Only that mine was real. Saw those two lines on the strip and my world literally stopped. Instant headache. My whole body felt like it was on fire. I could not concentrate at work. Signed out sick. called hubby and told him to meet me at home, that it was an emergency. Hubby came back. Baby what happend? Is OJ sick. I said no, I'm pregnant. This man started smiling. I saw red, charged at him, held his clothes and started bawling, saying he had destroyed my life because truly at that point, I felt my life has been destroyed. I had only just started getting my body back, My office was only just started taking me serious and handing over serious mediation and negotiations for me to oversee, going out of state for work which would lead to an increase in my assessment and performance rating and of course, more allowance. I had just started and registered my side business of legal consulting, like my life was finally looking like it was going to be on point and bam, another belle. Plans of trying for a VBAC going up in flames. Mahnn, everyday in the month of August I was crying. August was literally my worst month. I could just be doing something randomly and I would remember and just start crying. I carried on like nothing hoping the thing would go away. Hubby saw how angry and depressed I was and then he told me we could terminate it if I did not want it or was not ready. We went to the hospital, doctor gave us our options. I said I wanted to think about it. We went back, gave us drugs but I couldn't take them. Yes I wasn't ready but neither was I terminating it. It's here is its here. I gotta man (woman) up and do what I have to do. 11weeks gone now and I am slightly showing if I wear fitted clothes so I make sure to wear flared dresses or peplum tops. Hoping to let Management know by 14weeks so we can go on from there. A word of advice, getting pregnant when you are not ready is the absolute worst because you have made long term plans that may fall through since you did not factor pregnancy into it. If you are not ready, please get a reliable FP. If your husband does not like it, thats his business. Yes I said it. I made the mistake of listening to him when I wanted FP and he declined. Now he has seen reasons why and he is apologizing. Funny thing was we ran amok when I thought it was my safe period and now here we are. So yeah, safe period or not, please get a reliable FP. You dont want to go through what I did last month. I have braced up and will do this no matter how much it cost me because I have resolved in my heart that this is the last leg of any pregnancy journey so I will take whatever it gives me.

They came to take baby's blood for about 3 tests. Full blood count, mp and one other test. 2.5ml of blood. Hubby was shaking when the put the drip, I wonder how he would have felt when this new doc was searching for vein in the other hand and later collecting blood.

I hear dates increases one's libido. You can try eating it or better still do a tigernut drink. (Blend Tigernut + dates) and drink. They are other fruits in the north i also hear that it helps with libido. I dunno their names.
