European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by bagoma(f): 12:57pm On Apr 22, 2007
4play and mustay, you guys should be worried about your loss of the league title which hitherto, you thought you had won.
i would have recommended fasting and prayers from now till you go to stamford bridge but i'm afraid that wont help you guys.
like loyika would say, you guys havent won sh@t yet! tongue so hold the celebrations till after the season's over ok.
SportsRe: Chelsea And The "looming" Quadruple by bagoma(f): 12:49pm On Apr 22, 2007
chelsea can only win 2 trophies this season. its the only realistic thing to say.
grizzly, keep dreaming, but remember not to put your money where your mouth is o smiley
anyway i dont have to warn you plenty, i trust you've learnt your lesson from last season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by bagoma(f): 9:11pm On Apr 21, 2007

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by bagoma(f): 8:34pm On Apr 21, 2007
yeah, same old song all season long.
i wonder why wenger still feautures baptista?
we have ourselves to blame, arsenalwill not bury a team when she has the chance to do so and it always comes back to haunt us.
we should have won comfortably if we had, ---  bla bla bla, ----.  same old bloody story. angry
well, on the bright side, we came off with something sha. small consolation.

anyway, where's 4play that was running his mouth earlier?
you guys havent won anything yet, have you? tongue

Music/RadioRe: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by bagoma(f): 9:02pm On Apr 17, 2007
the show is fast turning into a farce!
i mean, jerrilyn has no business being in the top 24 to start with and to still have her in the top 7 is giving me nightmares.
the rest of africa shuld please wake up and do the right thing. i want to believe that at this stage, no nigerian is voting for her, booty and all.
she is no innocent, its clear to see when she performs.
whats her bleeping story anyway? it aint pathetic to me, ok maybe a little at the begining but its worn off because the jerriln i see on stage clearly isnt bowed over by whatever had happened to her.
she needs to leave and leave fast!!
my top three of the week is timi, omawunmi, mercy/jodie (tie) in that order.

as for mike magic, from his name to his odd-sounding voice down to his very dry jokes, i thought it was just me at first, i never can figure out why he was chosen as the host of the show, but i guess its too late, we're stuck with him for the long haul.

having said this though, i think he is actually improving somewhat, at least he did, this last episode or what do u think?
Music/RadioRe: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by bagoma(f): 9:22pm On Apr 12, 2007
thats probably because camerounians cant sing a note! tongue wink smiley cheesy (joking)
Music/RadioRe: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by bagoma(f): 9:55pm On Apr 11, 2007
@ icon,
i think i agree with evesofrank on uche.
to me it was a poor performance. with his kind of voice he shouldn't have gone for that kind of song.
Icon:
BTW, Uche did a Nat King Cole song and he did it well. I hope you realize that Nat King Cole's songs are not the easiest to sing. You can easily go off key if you don't know what you're doing. You need to know how to flow along Jazz Scales and all the dynamics.
the more reason he should have given the song a wide berth, don't you think?

Music/RadioRe: West African Idols: Season 1 (2007) by bagoma(f): 9:21pm On Apr 10, 2007
i cried when joan was announced as the one leaving last night.
i really liked her, i mean, she has a breathtaking voice.
but her performance the previous night was really below par, her worst and it proved to be her undoing. i didn't help matters either because i actually forgot to vote for her, Imagine!
well jerrilyn is really the one to go, i dont know why i dont like her. imagine her saying "strange things do happen" when she was asked how she felt hearing onyeka say she is the one with weakest voice.
abeg make she go jooo.
since joan is gone, i guess i'll start rooting for jodie and perhaps timi.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: DSTV Boss Arrested For UEFA Broadcast! by bagoma(f): 10:31pm On Mar 24, 2007
lets give Hitv a chance.
they are nigerian and for nigerians.
the problems they are having now are inevitable and will not disappear overnight but with our support they will excel.
i sure want them to excel. Dstv is worldclass, yes but this competition will benefit us the consumers.
i would certainly love to pay less for monthly subscriptions. DSTV knows now that their days of raking in profits like no man's business is numbered, unless of course HITV messes up as is our usual way, (i want to believe DSTV will be hoping for this) but barring any Bleep-ups, i see prices taking a big fall.
SportsRe: PHCN Begs Abeokuta Residents To Switch Off Appliances During Eagles Match by bagoma(f): 10:04pm On Mar 24, 2007
no anichebe did not play. was on the bench.
SportsRe: Super Eagles Of Nigeria Versus Crannes Of Uganda: 1-0! by bagoma(f): 9:49pm On Mar 24, 2007
the match was terrible, the pitch was simply apalling, the game boring as hell.
it looked so much like a training session, at best, a friendly.
our players looked out of sorts, no cohession whatsoever. they were at their worst (i think)

talking about the disallowed goal,
i think the referee's whistle went off before the ball was played into the net. but the reason for the whistle is what i can't tell.
the replays did not help.
what actually happened? who saw better?

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by bagoma(f): 10:23pm On Mar 10, 2007
fine talk from my fellow gunners. all very well said.

wenger should finally admit that his 'grand' theory of kiddies football have not and cannot pass the litmus test.
experinment failed ho ha!
let him do the most logical, sensible thing to do and stop being so damned tight-fisted. lipsrsealed
i mean he's made himself the laughing stock of the whole world. right now everyone's having a go at him, i mean, every tom dick and harry.(not sorry for him though)

however my people, through the mountains and through the valleys, for me, there is no question, its the gunners for life. cheesy
