They don't need a lawyer. First the child has to be domiciled in the usa, filing taxes or have someone who does that is ready to sponsor. Lo2o: Anybody know the process for a 21yr old usa citizen child filing for their parent? The child is also trying to find an affordable lawyer but also looking for any parents that have successfully done the process please?
There is that topic of people going to give birth in USA but your kid has to be 21 to file for you. So looking for info of what happens next? Please |

K3 is for us citizen, therefore you cannot apply. You will have to wait it out and pray things move fast. What you can do again is for him to apply to schools for study to get student Visa, seeing as it is easier to integrate into their job force with it unlike a foreign degree. But it has to be stated where necessary that he is been filed for so as not to misrepresent. If he is lucky enough to get a student visa, you should be able to adjust status to greencard after uscis approval, provided he has spent more than 90 days on the student visa. olamie: Okay. Thanks a lot. Can I apply for K3 if that’s still ongoing? |

The processing time for approval right now takes between 36 to 5 months, depending on the service center that is attending to your case. olamie: Good day, I’m a US LPR and I filed for my husband last year march, the category is F2A. I hear people say the wait time is 2years. Is the wait time observed before uscis approval? After the approval, what happens next and how long does it take to be transferred to NVC? Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you. |

Is your husband in the us or Nigeria ? If in Nigeria: after submitting form I 130 you get a priority date, so the 2 years they are talking about starts from your priority date. As of now after you have been approved by uscis, your case will be sent to nvc and since f2a is current as at now, they will invite you to submit your supporting documents, stating what they need you to submit. After nvc has deemed your case to be documentrily complete, they will wait for lagos embassy to schedule him for interview. As at today people going through this process are spending more than 3 years on the process. olamie: Good day, I’m a US LPR and I filed for my husband last year march, the category is F2A. I hear people say the wait time is 2years. Is the wait time observed before uscis approval? After the approval, what happens next and how long does it take to be transferred to NVC? This is the March 2022 visa bulletin for the final action date which is the date to check to know if one is current. For you to be current, your priority date has to be the date on the bulletin or earlier. For example, in the case of f2b, dates earlier than September 22 2015 is said to be current.

If you have us immigrant Visa you can go to any state, but if you plan to leave in an entirely different state or address, you should inform uscis of your new address. philips3: Good day everyone, please I need your advice. I have USA immigrant visa. Is it possible to go to another state in the US that is different from the address and state I used in my application and during my visa interview without negative effect at the port of entry in the US? I intend to move from Nigeria to the US. |

This happened to me as well, don't make the mistake of going to the school since it is private gce. Go to waec office in front of yabatech, that is where your result can be generated. I don't know how much you will be asked to pay but it won't be upto the amount quoted for you. Avoid thugs, ensure you enter into their reception before making your complaint. They will attend to you in less than 30 minutes. |

It will take longer, f4 takes up to13 to 15 years. File for your mum, she can file for him immediately she enters the us with her immigrant Visa, but he must remain unmarried. This will take up to 7 to 8 years from when your mum files for him. seek4yemi: Let me explain. I got to US with a student visa in 2016, in 2018 I invited my mum and my brother for my graduation(infront of the VO my brother forgot my course of study so he said I was studying accounting I think and my mum said no he’s studying healthcare Management) red flag so they were denied. Boom 2019 I got him an MBA admission he went for a student visa twice or three times stating my mum is gonna be his sponsor. Now my mum retired and I wanna sponsor him now.I was thinking of changing his MBA to MSc political science or should he still maintain the same MBA admission from another school. In 2019 I got a temporary two years greencard card then I joined the military so I became a citizen. I could file a greencard petition for him but it will take 5-8years because he’s above 21years. So my immigration status have nothing to do with him. |

Pretty16 !!! Welcome! pretty16: I am well and family is doing great. Thank you so much. Just looking back and remembering the night I started the thread while my first son was playing around in my bedroom back in Nigeria. The idea came to me, but the first thread I started was closed by one of the administrators. But I didn't give up, and thought of another topic to give it, and to my surprise it wasn't closed. This thread became a blessing to me on my visa journey, because I had a lot of help from here, and I am happy it's a blessing to many. Wish everyone all the best and please stay safe. |

If his kids are older than 21 after cspa he will have to file for them when he migrates. Since they are unmarried they will fall under f2b, and their children will be their derivatives. If they get married at any point under f2b they lose their status, except they are divorced by the time their priority date becomes current. F2b can have children has derivatives. richhills: Any kids above 21 years without CSPA protection slid off your petition. I have a son 21 years plus 7 months that wouldn't be going with me again that will qualify for f2b. Your kids will go to F2b if unmarried but F2b doesn't have derivatives so their kids can't go with them.. And if married they will only wait till you become a citizen and you file for them under F3. F3 allow derivatives. |

See hen when you go online you will see what nvc mean by photographs on their site. They even explained how it should be taken. If the nvc wants supporting documents they will ask for it. But if it's your family photographs you want to upload let's see how it works, we learn every day. |

Photographs needed in this case is your 2 by 2 passport photographs, you can go online and make your research. What ever you want to upload let the passport be there. Ensure you do it right, if not, after waiting for weeks they decline the documents and require you to re upload. Don't forget you have just 2mb for each civil documents. You can always go to the embassy with other photographs including the passport as well. Do not make mistakes, confirm online. Your passport is what is needed at this stage. |

The clause of the act is that you seek to attain permanent residency within one year of becoming current, if not you won't get it. Immediately you go through the above process and ncv accept your claim you need to act fast. After seeking to attain permanent residency your age become locked in. The surest way to seek to attain permanent residency is to fill your ds260 asap, then you can seat back and wait for your final action date to become current. Time is of essence . |
