Samueltemi337:Maybe you do not understand me. I said, by the 2UP metrics, would the ticket be marked as won? Then I quipped, no of course not. The supposition in my write-up is that the scoreline currently stands at 3 - 2 (even though they did eventually win by 4 -3 which, by the way, is still a goal margin). At that point, the OP would expect that his ticket be marked as won since his picks has been able to put in three goals at the back of the opponent's net. Then I had to counter that by making it clear that margin is what counts, not the number of goals scored, since the opposition might as well have scored. |
AlphaNugget:My comment in the morning pain am. Lol. A committee of 5 members is to be chosen from 4 farmers, 3 cashiers and 8 writers. In how many ways can this be done if in the committee there must be at least one member from each group and at least 3 farmers? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Samueltemi337:Bro, 2UP means your pick is settled as a won bet if they lead by 2 goals or more. If they lead by only a goal margin, 2UP doesn't settle the bet. You'd have to wait till the event ends, so how is this incorrect? |
Jedtam:Exactly bro. I didn't say otherwise in my post. You are right. I am talking specifically about the 2UP standards used to settle a running ticket. He is talking about leading by a goal margin and expecting to get his ticket ticked. |
Redman44:I think I like your penned signature, so let me ask you. Have you gotten contacted by parents, caregivers, or anyone for home lessons for their wards through this website? |
SoftSport:2UP means your pick, whoever they are, is leading by two goals. In that case, your ticket is marked as a won bet. Let me us one of the EPL matches played today as an example. Today, Ipswich Town were leading by two goals. Then Brentford FC scored 3 goals in a row. By the 2UP metrics, would the ticket be marked as won? No, of course not. This is because although they scored three goals and are now clearly leading, they aren't leading by a two goals margin. They were only leading by a one goal margin. Any team in question has to lead marginally by two goals or more. |
Leonardo4:Camavinga is too eratic? But bros, why na! Lol. Modric is good. Too good. One of the finest in the history of the game and he gets better with each passing day. However, Cama should be given his flowers. When he plays, he usually deserves it. Modric and Camavinga should start. Camavinga is one of the most dangerous left-footed midfielders Madrid has ever had. Do not ever, ever, underrate a very good left-footed midfielder whether they play for Enyimba of Aba or Chelsea FC. They are able to disturb the equilibrium in the midfield and create pockets of space from nowhere. Edit: Just found out Modric didn't start. |
Reggaero:Lol. Is that some consolation? I guess it is not. Lol, go learn how to make your write-ups exhaustive and comprehensive covering every details in-to-to so that if you have to complain to MTN customer care through through Customer chats channel that your brother's line got barred for some inexplicable reasons, it would not take them two years to get the basics of your complaints. |
AlphaNugget:Seems I might have to turn on full throttle. Pa! Pa! Papa! Pa! Pa! Papa! I just downloaded this song today and thought I'd share. It's titled Yes and Amen. Type ceenaija(dot)com slash elijah-oyelade-your-word-is-yes/ On your address bar. Em, you should be able to download the 9.2mb music file instantly by clicking "download here" and enjoy yourself while picking your games. We hope games click tomorrow. I am sorry I have to make noise. I can't help it, or is the noise disturbing your ears? |
JobAndVacancies:Our contents are not as long as you think. It's just that I strive to create interaction between the reader and the contents I write about by leaving too many spaces after a full sentence (after you see a full-stop) and creating too many new lines. The aim, of course, is to get people to keep looking down, scrolling as they move, and interacting with the content faster. It often works. Most words on a new line would fit just perfectly in the previous line from which they broke off from. Creating a new line doesn't make the content lengthy; it only enables us to occupy space and get the reader's attention. It also helps them to read faster. If we leave as little space and paragraphs like some writers, it might take you four or five times longer than it would take for the same piece of content. I learned that from an American on Reddit; I was shocked that I read his long arse wall of text in the space of minutes. If you still doubt me, I could compress the content leaving as few new lines and paragraphs as possible. After the compression, I am sure you would admit that the piece is not as lengthy as it seems. |
Joeblaze26:My friend, who would you purchase as a professional manager between the duo of Victor Osimhen and Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal? |
Joeblaze26:I had to get back at you because you have made the same comment twice. I ignored you initially but if I ignored you again, it would look like I am a pushover. Now, on seeking validation from strangers. That's very funny to be frank. Seeking validation from who exactly? Is it you? Why would I seek validation from anonymous strangers. ![]() If people commend me for, say, my critical thinking or writing, how would it help me? Would it translate to more money in the bank or make me a nice person. People who seek validation create threads upon threads asking people what they think of them or wanting really bad to hear other's opinion. Why should I fucking care what humans think of me? Why would I even do what makes people happy if it is not agreeable to my persona? A man (and woman) that thinks very much in his heart, what his hands dare not execute. Why would I regard him so much? I don't even regard myself, why would I regard another person even to the point of seeking validation from them. Person call himself wretch and you think he regards other people? But then, I don't know but tell me if you do know, does it look like all people who display some level of intelligence might be seeking some measure of validation from others? If you say yes, how do you differentiate people who pretend to be intelligent and who just want to engage in meaningful conversations from people who are not? I am choosing my words carefully by saying people who pretend to be intelligent and not say people who are intelligent, outright. On not seeing booking code because of my long unnecessary epistle. I'd put it to you that your allegations are unfounded. First off, this thread is usually dry. In a space of 24 hours, there might not even be more than two new pages. I know what I am saying bro, I check this thread more often than you think. The only period in time when it looks like something is buzzing (with multiple open pages) is if there is a giveaway, or when it's weekend, or during pfp. Most people hardly make contributions here. New pages do not soar exponentially as you want us to believe. What I am saying is, you would not open more than two pages for your codes if you check this page every 24 hours. Secondly, you say my epistles are unnecessary. Fine, you are entitled to what you think. But I'd ask you what makes me a nuisance here. What have I been posting that makes me a nuisance here. I certainly do not attack and get back at punters who disagree with me here. I do not make posts that are unrelated to betting and sports in general. I hardly comment more than once in a space of 24 hours except I am replying to a comment. I don't litter the thread with financial request or bug people who share their winnings for handouts. Most, if not all my comments so far, has been observations about a football match I watched or what I think of a certain game. That is very much within the purview of this thread, so you need to explain what you mean. I have not been very active on this thread, if not in the last week or so. Would my comments count as a nuisance in, say, a betting shop? Is this thread only supposed to buzz during the weekends or when someone is doing giveaways? Would sport related discussion count as a nuisance? I would not stop commenting here unless I get bored or move over to Reddit from where I originally came from and I am actually getting there because I only do things agreeable to reason and not what another person wants or think. Just because you're not comfortable with my comment does not make me stop. You heard that right. If you raise a discussion on this very thread right now on who I think is a better player between, say, Osimhen and Gabriel Jesus, I would still discuss with you. I no send. I am not angry with your comments at all. After all, I don't regard people much. |
Joeblaze26: ![]() Ironically, If we look at who talks more in real-life, you would be found to be more than 20 times more garrulous than I am. No insult intended. It seems you are intimidated by my long wall of text, but I am not the cause of your problem. Don't pour out your frustration on me. When your peers were studying hard and honing their writing skills before WAEC, gbam you don jump fence say na PS 2 you wan go play and 12 never even nack sef. Again, no insults intended, but I am just being real. How can a long arse comment intimidate a person who calls himself literate? How? This thread should be a haven for bettors where they are free to discuss anything football in addition to the other sports threads on this website. Sorry bro, ndo. You can approach me for any help and I would if I could. You can respond to my question, observation about anything football or bet or any other. I would not take offense. That is what this thread is meant for, but I would not take personal attacks about my persona for any reason because I didn't attack you. |
WhiteIverson:It is very true that I asked him for handouts. This isn't even the first time I have asked him so. I am not going to deny that your suspicions is not justified. It is. However, just because I asked him for assistance does not mean that I am looking to pry on another unsuspecting punter or build a reputation for myself to get money by hook or crook. Even if that is the case, even if it does, you should have applied caution and at least take my words as some benefit of doubt when I say I would not do that again. Don't people have a change of mind? They certainly do and since my comments indicates that I have had a change of mind, why not give me the benefit of doubt and watch my actions from the stands. You could simply pull out my comments and bring it out at some later date for all to see maybe a month, a year or two years from now showing that I did not keep my words. |
Eseka22:I think you are very right. Some teams have made a name for themselves already. But still, we just have to give it top them. But omo, they really watch football in Europe! To think that Panathinakos Athens is not the only top-flight Greek club in the capital speaks much. Looks like Europeans take their love for football to an unprecedented level. I am quite sure that AEK Athens might pull just as much crowd as Pana have done. It's very, very crazy if you think of the fact that Greece is just a small-sized country whose population is below the average. Just 10 milla. Imagine a country less than the population of Lagos pulling that numbers for a football match in their state capital when there are other football clubs in the same capital. It's very, very crazy if you ask me. |
I would not ask any punter for handouts here. For those who doubt us, let me repeat, I am not looking to ask anyone here for money, even if I quote you directly or I ask you questions. No one is more lucky or fortunate than the other. As my game dey cut, naso your own game too dey cut. Besides, many high stake punters lost a lot of money in the just concluded Champion League because games didn't pan out as predicted and no one reimbursed them. I didn't. if you see my comments here, pleas know that this is solely for fun, nothing else. Everything starts and ends here. I am not looking to get anything from anybody here. Na here everything ends. You can discuss with me without getting yourself worked up with the question of: shey no be billing this one won do so. I talk about everything bet-related for fun, nothing more. I am not even on other social media where someone would be request my number or asking for my user ID. |
tojahh: ![]() I played a live game at half time with 10 naira to return 63 naira - the same Europa game and the ticket greened. If only one has the guts to put in stakes like you do. It's actually crazy. You were able to get four times your investment but the returns is quite huge because of your stake. If only one is able to place stakes like you do Tojah. And Tojah would reply like this: If only you are able to absorb losses like Tojah does. Lol. Anyway sha, when I grow up Tojah, I hope to be like you. |
Samueltemi337:Why are you asking me this question? It seems some folks here add nothing and are vexed to high heavens when people do. If that is not the case, how can an innocuous-looking comment elicit such a response from you? I thought this is a betting thread. Is it out of the ordinary or weird to raise football discussion and talk about a specific football match with other punters? Tell me, are you intimidated by my contributions? I am not looking for handout from anybody here. I am not. To clarify, I AM NOT TRYING TO BUILD A REPUTATION ON THIS THREAD SO THAT WHEN SOMEONE WANTS TO DO GIVEAWAYS, I GET MY SHARE. NO! Fucking no. I know that's what you are thinking else you would not be asking me this question, but you err. I am contented with what I have. I would not drop my account details anywhere on this website for hundred million worlds. You can bookmark, quote me, and save this. Did you hear what I just said, I am not trying to appear credible in the sight of anyone - not to the giver and the person saddled with the responsibility of sharing the money. Before I began to comment, I was a frequent lurker for a long while. I would come over here to read comments of people whose game cut, what they played, what was at stake, screenshots of winnings and losses, and book games from codes gotten here. I didn't jump in here out of the blues. That is what brings me here. I have been lurking on this thread before the days of the guy who vanished with money he was supposed to share here. Then I began to comment. I might have to go back to lurkers mode. If there is a daily soccer discussion thread on this site that discusses soccer in addition to what I just bold up there, you may please point me to one. That is what interest me. I have overstayed my welcome here. I don't know. Put me in the right direction. PS: I just found out this section https://www.nairaland.com/eurosoccer and even though it is not multifaceted, I might have to leave this place for you guys. |
I fear person wey no fear teams playing in the top flight of English football. ![]() If you say the EPL is overrated, I fear you join. I used to say that before. Infact, I fear myself join. ![]() The teams playing in that league are just something else. They sabi ball die. Omo! And With the way Chelsea plays the round leather, they might just win the league this season, no jokes. See how stadium choke, everybody in Athens came to watch Chelsea play and they not only outshined, they also did it elegantly. Stadium full like say flies dey find sugar; yet, Chelsea show those guys who be boss. If you sabi ball you sabi abeg. |
ICTspecialist:Having watched from the 60th minute mark, I would say that the match is NOT extremely one-sided. Celtics still see ball play! I was fairly confident that the crown of Bergamo would do justice to this Scottish champions, but I was wrong. Atalanta failed to win but it's not as if they were very unlucky. Even though they had more of the ball and played it around, they weren't. They didn't create too many chances. They were not in possession of the ball, either. The best one would do is to avoid European Cup games because the odds are largely based on UEFA coefficients and ranking which is not very accurate. Team A is playing team B on a tiny odd. But team A has neither played, defeated, or conceded against a team which team B has won or lost to, so how do we compare them and know their standing except from the fact that team B qualified through the playoffs which might hint that they are the weaker team. Cup games are extremely risky because there's a dearth of data by which to be thoroughly informed of. The best is to wait till season resumes or play other options like corner, or play them with very low stakes for your peace of mind |
GanagiBitrus:Your logic is out of this world. ![]() You can confide in me. Just tell me the truth. Are you sure you're human? |
DiskJocky, come and make this place lively na. Where you run go! I edited your game yesterday but Arsenal no gree score three goals and dem no score in the second half. Seems Odegaard is very, very irreplaceable in that Arsenal squad and the manager doen't have faith in his replacement despite being a very good player too - I am talking of Nwaneri. |
ICTspecialist:If you stake your salary and the ticket is binged, do you have anything to fall on? If your answer is no, then you must not proceed. Gambling is not supposed to impoverish you. There is a reason gambling sites have the phrase: Only stake what you can afford to lose! But if you still insist, that you would stake the sum, I'd advise that you don't pick more than two games because this is a money you cannot afford to lose. 1x on an odd of 1.2 And another 1x on another odd of 1.15 on a stake of 50, 000 should give you 19k profit. That is more than what MMM promises you in a month. |
CosmicJames:@Bolded: Thank you. Watching teams play live enables a punter to make informed decision, but there is more to it. I used to avoid FC Monaco when they cut my ticket sometimes back, but man, I watched them play yesterday. Those Monaco guys have ballers oo! Awon agba ballers. They sabi ball, no be lie. ![]() But you see, despite how good a team might be, and despite how often we watch team play live, there would come a time when they lose back to back. And this loss is caused by different factors: The Referee's bias or poor judgment. One or two missing key playmakers. The Pysche or emotional well-being of the players. The length or type of stadium the match is being played in. The spectators. A red or yellow card especially to some crucial players. The football used to play the match, hahaha. The side they are starting the match from. The wastefulness of the losing team. Even the type of goal the opposition team score them first with. These reasons and more might sound quite ridiculous, but they might influence some games (and cut your ticket) to some extent. This is often beyond one's ability to predict. I think all good teams have bad spells, but some last longer than others. Regardless, gambling as you said, is still a game of luck and winning one's bet especially for several accumulations is a wild stroke of luck even though the game of football itself is largely a skill-based game. If you like Pick Man City to defeat Kano Pillars at the Etihad - if it will cut, it will cut. |
ICTspecialist:Sorry about this. To lose 3k in this current regime no easy. If you want to put good money on a sporting event, it should be a norm to watch them play live from time to time. Relying on the odds the bookies give is doing less than the barest minimum. Gambling should be a full-time business for people who put good money; although watching teams play is no indication that our predictions would play out as predicted. Did you watch Madrid vs. Stuttgart or Stuttgart vs. Sparta Prague? If you did, you should be aware that this Stuttgart team is a team to be feared and weary of. I would not near the home team with a nine inches pole no matter how good they are when Stuttgart are playing away from home. I watched their match against Sparta and they outplayed Sparta Prague really hard. Omo, since that day, I dey look dem with one kind eye. Even when the bookies gave Bayern 1.36 odds to defeat them, I just pass, and yet, Bayern won 4 nil. |
oyewale0001:It would be extremely disrespectful to not reply you because I quoted you directly, but I would not respond to the other mentions because their complaints is unrelated to yours. Now, my words must not be taken as some sorts of weapon fashioned against you. It's just that I am a brute realist. Pessimism might not be your thing, but it is part of God's divine providence. You should always expect the worst and never take offense when people remind you of that fact, or the likelihood of disaster befalling you. Experience. The sad fate of many generous, prudent, and hardworking humans and even God all join in the chorus - warning mortals never to ever, ever, say: THAT CAN NEVER HAPPEN TO ME. AS A MATTER OF FACT, THE WORST OF CALAMITIES CAN BEFALL ANYONE, WHETHER THEY ARE VERY RELIGIOUS OR VERY IRRELIGIOUS. You need the garb of sobriety because It can happen to you. It can happen to anyone. Now, obviously, when I say you are going to lose it all, I never actually mean you'd lose it all through gambling and you should have asked me to clarified that instead of inferring what I didn't mean. Very wealthy men like Bezos, Dangote, etc., would not get a different response than you would get, if they responded the way you did. People lose all they have through many means and ways, so you shouldn't assume that I lack the tact to pin your misfortune, should it happen, to gambling. If you gained millions through gambling and then lost it all through gambling, wouldn't that mean that I am tacitly calling you foolish? That is what it means obviously, and I expect that you would shove aside that take but you didn't. You are now accusing me of calling you foolish when in fact that isn't what I meant. It's okay. Take care. I wouldn't mention you too. |
oyewale0001:Wow. You na boss! I hope that those whom you have helped would be able to rally round when you, too, have lost it all, but then God forbid. Remember me in your next winnings. Please, put me in mind. Take care! |
@Oyewale0001, you shared close to hundred thousand here yesterday. You must have won several millions, right? |
![]() ![]() Too much sense and logic is not good in gambling. And that is my problem. I genuinely thought that Inter could not defeat Roma at home, but I was wrong. It's crazy. Inter deserve the win. To avoid leading people astray in the future, I would always reserve my comment. Omo! |
Sammy101111:Wow. You na boss. Good to hear. Goodluck. |
Sammy101111:Lol. Crazy! I have never played Aviator. What was your stake to have shot up to 230k within a short period of time like that? |
