HeavenlyBang: It's important to know what you're getting into. The E550 was offered in two engines.
The M273 5.5L V8 in 2010/2011, also used in the 07+ E550, the W221 S550, and the W219 CLS550. The other was the M278 4.6L twin turbo V8, used in all 550 models from 2012 to 2018.
I'll be honest. The M278 is the better engine. More power, more torque, better fuel economy, and comes mated to the improved 7G-Tronic Plus.
But. My budget could only stretch as far as a 2012 and the first few years of the engine had timing chain tensioner and fuel injector issues. Also, I'm not a fan of forced induction engines. I much prefer simple naturally aspirated motors.
In addition, the M273 is essentially a bigger variant of the M272 on ubiquitous cars like the pre-facelift C300. It was a no-brainer.
I hit my plug up. Actually, I first contacted AMDMan. Great guy, but the prices listed felt a bit too much, and I'm not a fan of Canadian cars.
Deltel it was, then. Na him first help me run my previous car anyway.
impressive... da ur guy for benz thread way dey always troll you go dey silently observe laidiz... eddee, how far na?? una v8 brotherhood don dey enlarge o... carry Gazzuzz follow body abeg... da guy no like to dey buy fuel
Jamjoon: It took dem 3 years to reply his post It took 3 years for them to apologise. 3 years later they are still hoping they can make it up to him...
Even if it's over 5 years, they should still appease & settle him. That's the right thing to do!
robville25: You stated that Gazzuzz should not have warrantied the engine. U actually called it “Foolish” (Without having the locus standi anyway)
You stated that he has done this for others and has gotten away with it but this one has shown him otherwise (irrelevant opinion but let’s sustain it for the purpose of this conversation)
In your mind, Gazzuzz goofed on these two premises.
Client has a warranty that takes the same time it requires to win 85million Naira in the big brother Naija house. He ignores it.
Client receives an extra 24 hour window. He ignores it.
Client abuses and vilifies the mechanic online and demands sympathy. He gets online sympathy, he ignores it.
Client is required to show proof of his claims against mechanic. He insists mechanic shows proof. Mechanic shows proof, he ignores it and continues to assassinate the character of the mechanic.
Client demands that Gazzuzz concede to duping him arrogantly and further requests to be duped with humility. Gazzuzz saves him the emotional trauma of being duped. He ignores it.
Client has out-goofed Gazzuzz. He has no case. How hard is that to glean from all you have read so far?
i wonder how you communicate with your clients... poor communication skills...
incomprehensible jargons
ZIMDRILL: you missed the point when asked Gazzuzz what did he do to the engine that gaurantee a warrant he had no answer for it except that he started to point out manufacturer defects meaning he is running away from the blame and put on the manufacturer
lets has he reconditioned the engine right but he would give warrant because he had worked on it and he knows that its a good engine
besides that he never excluded himself from engine an engine failure that is due manufacturer defects, he didnt tell the customer becoz i guess he wanted money
he did care share infor with customer on mafucturer defects of the specif engine
