Massaging is an act of rubbing and pressing the body usually with the hands, to relieve stiffness or pain in the muscles, joints and so on. This act is not so common in this part of the world unlike the Western world that understand the need of a Masseur to massage them. Doctors claimed that this act is very good for the body and the advice given to the public is to be involved in this act at least once in every week. Most workaholic individuals engage in this act in order to be at ease. Questions for the Nairalanders: 1. Why is it that most Nigerians doesn't engage in this act? 2. Will you like to be masage? 3. Where in your area can this act be done? Kindly post your reply to this mail. |
That place is horrible, the worst part here is that you see people selling food near the mortuary, and some highly educated ones that are used to that odour always eat food in those canteen. If you compare the mortuary with that of Ikeja, you will see that Ikeja's own is far better than the one around CMS, no horrible odour is been perceived there (i.e Ikeja Mortuary). The government need to do something about that place or else those that buried there will be calling more people to join them. |
ULALA So we still have people that do appreciate we men in the world. Man-eater seriously describe the type of person I am in her post. Well, my advice for remaining guys out there is to emulate me and be like me. ![]() |
muyibaba:I agree with you Muyibaba that one need to patronise those that have shops/outlets. I was about to be duped last Friday when I went to Computer Village to buy Memory Card to my Camera, the guy gave me fake one, b4 I left I told him that if it doesn't work that I will have to return it, the guy agreed and i left, just to try it and found that it was fake and could not work with my camera. Meanwhile, the owner of the outlet gave me his phone number in case I want to buy any more goods, because of that I mimmediately called him and told him that the memory card was not working, he agreed again that I should come back and change it to good one. So I went back, but luck ran out of him because I know their techniques, he asked me to come along with my camera, which I did, but i told him that i can't allow him to go anywhere with it, when he found out that their was no way he could cheat me, he decide to give me the original, which I took back home. So, by patronising those with shops/outlets one will be confident that whatever he purchase will have a guarantee unlike others that can run away with your money. |
if I the opportunity, I will crush them all and dump their remains in the Police station. Meanwhile Apongbon bridge yesterday was surrounded by Mobile Police which allowed a free flow of transportation and equally prevented those evils from carrying out their deed. How I wish that place should always be surrounded by Police without collecting #20 from motorist, instead arresting any suspect they find moving in a suspicious way. |
Yesterday morning would have been another disaster to people leaving in Imore-Ijegun, where some people were carrying out nefarious activity there, i.e they were scooping fuel from the pipeline, but this time around they were unlucky because Police marine team went there to catch those perpetrators. Six out of the hundreds of people scooping petroleum were not lucky and since then alot of people have been arrested together with their Jericans filled with petroleum gotten as well. @ macgreat Your post is mainly for stingy people who doesn't want to spend on a valentine's day ![]() |
It is no longer news here in Lagos State Nigeria where people tend to make mention of 1-chance. Anywhere one hear that 1 word 1-chance people tend to run away before knowing what they are saying. I have seen a lot of people who have given their experiences about how this 1-chance people have robbed them away of their belongings. Nairalanders who are resident in Lagos will testify with what I have said that it is not an uncommon word. Well, to explain this word to those who do not understand, 1-chance is a common word spoken by Danfo Bus conductors to patronise passengers that wish to spend little money on transportation to their destination by joining the bus while speeding on Lagos road. People now say that the extent of 1-chance is no longer limited to Danfo bus alone, that taxi driver are doing theirs even more than the so-called Danfo people. Below are just 2 examples of how 1-chancer robbed a friend and a woman early in the morning: 1. A friend of mine woke up early in the morning for his place of work, he heard a bus conductor heading towards CMS, so he decided join not knowing what is about to befall him, he entered with his New Nokia phone that worth a month salary. He together with other people in the bus were robbed of their phones and not only that the three band gang threw all of them down while the bus was still moving on the road. 2. A woman decided to go to Idumota market to buy somethings to sell in her shop, she decided to join a bus going to Idumota, she was on her way when the 1-chancer decided to start their regular operation and in this encounter she lost the whole money which she wanted to use to procure the goods to them. Imagine an old woman crying simply because she was 1-chanced. The above are 2 out of hundreds that i've happened in Lagos. Nairalanders, share your experience or better still your advise on how 1-chance can be stopped in Lagos State. |
why not ![]() There is no boundry for what we call love ooo. |
()

Well my advice for them is to play cool with them because if they fall into their hands it won't be like James Bond film that he will manoeuvre his way and escape their trap, this pple will not esitate to do anything wicked. But due to that fact that they have with them some Laptops and other things that are very expensive, i won't blame their action. LoverBwoy, I guess if u were in their shoe, u will do more than that abi I lie? |
Man-eater, Well, I'll count them as lucky people. |
Hello Nairalanders, I want you guys to share your opinion on what can be done to Niger-Delta Militant. Is it by buying more ammonitions or asking for military help from other countries that the militants be stopped from kidnapping foreign oil workers? What do you consider as a way forward for people in Niger-Delta? Nairalanders, SHARE YOUR OPINION |
very funny Gbolex, so Police na the Pastor's Reverend. lol I can't avoid to laugh throughout the time I was reading the ordeal. |
Alarinka, there are so many things that can be done in order to reduce the Armed Robbery cases in banks to the bearest minimum since it can never be eradicated. To reduce Robbery cases, all the following are involved in taking necessary action i.e the Government, Bank and the Nigerian Police. The Government
[li]The Nigerian Government need to provide job to both the unemployed individuals and those that are roaming about the street without any qualification. The Government need to make sure that they provide adequate equipment to the Nigerian Police to enforce them to carry out their duty very well. The equipment that the government need to provide for them should not be outdated because the Armed Robbers have gotten the recent tools to be used in breaking in to the Vault/Strong room, take for instance the Gas Cylinder and those Guns that shoot sporadically unlike the Police that are still using (Shakabula)or 1-shot bullet. In addition to this, the government need to provide bullet proof for the police so as to enable them to work efficiently. The Legislative Arm of Government should also enact a law that will give any Bank Robber huge purnishment.[/li] [li][/li]
The Bank
[li]The bank need to provide at least 10 security men in every branch of the bank. The bank need to support the government in providing for tools which the Police will be using in combating Bank robbery such as Armoured Personnel Tank (APT), new Guns for the Nigerian Police, Police Vans that will be used in conveying Police to the destination of the event. The bank should provide CCTV for any branch all over the country. The bank also need to ensure that they do not open their branches in a place that is too small and not conducive for banking job[/li] [li][/li]
The Nigerian Police
[li]The Police need to emulate the NYPD of New York in combating Bank Robbery, sending as many as 5 Response Squad together with APT and sometimes Police Helicopter can also be used in combating the Robbery incident. The Nigerian Police need to always be at alert anytime anyday in case the people of underworld are operating. The Police should at least have a response squad at least 1 in every street of banking environment, this will always help by making other street to know where next they need to block after a report is shown that the Robbers have escaped. The Police should get enough workey-torkey so as to communicate with other Police officer.[/li] [li][/li]
If all the above is done, I bet it with you the robbery incident will reduce to its bearest minimum. |
Yepa , O ma ga oooooo. So they still hung that guy. i pity the dude. Well, it's just a proof to show that they do not tolerate nonsense in d country. Just immagine d same situation with (Wunmi) the Nigerian Movie Star, how they sentence her to 3yrs imprisonment, don't u think countries like Singapore would have been watching how Nigerians always prosecute offenders? But this should teach others a lesson not to engage in such a bad business. |
Well, the Federal govt seems to have interest in the guy and that's why they have appealed for clemency to the Singaporean government to reconsider the judgement given to him. I pity the guy. The worse part here is that even though he did it purposedly he will count the blame on devil, that is "na devil's work". He needs to pray as if he never did that before. That's my advice for him. |
Fellybabe, my advice for u is to use Vaseline Baby Jelly 4 the cream or Idiagbon. Use dustin powder for the powder; and use Red lipstick for ur lips.Don't 4get to put Rub on ur face if u're face still remain dry. I bet u, water go come sharp sharp. ![]() |
Nairalanders, what is your opinion on the extention of the IG Mr Sunday Ehindero's tenure to May 29 this year by Mr Prsident |
Millions, I guess. D reason 4 dis guesture is that u calculate the total number of each subscriber and all networks 2gether with those who use theirs for business purposes, as in phone boot. And those who use it for calling family and friends, together with business as for businessmen. Millions are now using handset not to talk of millions having 2 or morelines. All these if calculated will bring about millions of vouchers being demanded each day. |
LoverBwoy:I quite agree with U. "It can't stop rigging." |
Loverbwoy,It's not that expensive. Do you really believe it that Nigeria can acquire it? well i think that would be too expensive, it's not like they are looking for Weapons of Mass Destruction ![]() This will even prove to the outside world that Nigeria is capable of handling any terrorist attack in case one occur. It will be wise if only this is bought and start to be used before the oncoming election in order to reduce the evil act that will be perpetrated by the politicians. |
Are you sure?Though the satellite can't get the real face of the culprit it can show the exact location and try to get a slight view of the culprit. U know the satellite view the scene directly from the space, it will only show the backview or the head part of the culprit and not the front view. This is better than not getting any information at all. |
I guess in case of CCTV, that wont be neccessary, what Nigeria need is to acquire the Space Satellite that can easily get what is happening in a particular place @ a particular period of time. This is how it is been used, an emergency call is received, a police officer try to spot the location of the crime through the Satellite and get how many criminals are involved, then send down troops to combat with the criminals. This is what they use in most advanced contries. The problem in Nigeria is Government. I mean people in government and the masses, government doesn't want to embark upon such a thing. And masses are not aware of such a thing, even though they are how many people can endeavour to get that for his state. Corporate bodies like banks and companies have not been able to provide ordinary vehicles to police let alone getting such a satellite for the country or state. If this is done, crime rate in Nigeria will be reduced cople with police performing their duty as expected. |
I will give u guys two scenario on what is happening to Nigerian Police in term of what they are doing. I wouldn't blame the Police atall, just immagine a police inspector been paid between 10,000 to 14,000 naira in a month and Police constable been paid 8,000 Naira, having a wife and children at home, will pay school fees of the children and don't 4get the bills, house bills and so on to be paid by him. How do u think he will get the money to pay for all these. He can't steal because the nature of his job is to prevent crime. What do u expect him to do? Second he doesn't want to collect (20 naira)(bribe) on the road, but the drivers doesn't have all the neccesary particulars of their vehicle. Immagine Molue in Lagos that was constructed 10 years ago, how do u expect the driver to have the particulars of the vehicle, the drivers prefer to give the police money so that he won't delay them on the road. Assuming Police officers are being paid well, giving enough equipment that can combat crime i.e Weapon/Riffle that supercede Robbers own, good vehicles, and all with good communication equipment, I'm assuring you that u people will like police more than any other organisation in the country. Why is it that New yorkers rely solely on NYPD(New York Police Department)? Because all the above are giving to them and they do perform their duties well. Despite the fact that few of this is done to Police in the country, they are still trying their best, give them all that is needed and see whether they will not perform better and "become your friend". |
Hello Fellow Nairalanders, I am using this opportunity to ask for any information that you guys know about driving job, whether consultant or you know a particular organisation that seriously need a driver. I am in a postion to help my friend who is seriously in need of this job. Very Urgent please If you have any info, kindly reply my mail Thanx |
Omolayo, Fish farming is a very good business. What you need to know under this business is that u have to set aside a certain some of money to start up this business, your profit depends on capital set aside to run this business. First, u will need to build a pond or ponds which will be used to stuck your fish. Second, you need to decide which type of fish do u want to be farming on, most pple prefer Catfish because it sells well in the market. Third, you need to know the amount of money you will use to purchase the foodstuff of the fingerlins. All this are some of the cost you will encounter while runing the buz. Note that the fish will be sold in terms of kilograms, some farm them for 6 months before selling them, some more than that. All these depend on you. Don't forget that the buz may not yield exactly what you expect at the first time you are experiensing it but be well informed that your next attempt will yield more than you expect. |
streetcyph:Streetcyph, they counted the vote yesterday evening and this morning they announced the winner. Listen to news to be sure of this. |

Flodel, let me give u some little answers to ur question. Nec e606 is a problem both to d maker and to d users, WHY? u ask. D fact is that ever since the phone was made in 2003 the bluetooth and the Audio Player have never worked out for good. A lot of pple have mailed and sent their profound disinterest in this phone, to view their mail you can go to these sites, www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/nec-e606,www.gsmarena.com/nec_e606-481.php Though d set was the first dual mode 2G/ 3G device, that support data upload upto 64 kbps and download 384 kps, apart from d above stated problems of the cellphone, one other thing that the set can not do is to browse, they claimed that u can only have access i you were to be in UK, apart from these, you can enjoy all other services, like 3G device and camera cople with other functions. If you have any problem still with your handset you can let me know through nairaland of course, do have a nice day. |
IJMB are of two folds, do u mean O'level IJMB, or A'Level IJMB. If it is A'level, whenever u pass upto 15 points, u are qualified to go to 200 level in some universities that do accept IJMB. Truely speaking Henryukwa has described d programme for u, my advice for u is to go to a better school if u are not a northerner. Moreso, for u to attain that point, nhnnhn, alot of fasting and prayer is needed couple with hard reading and studying. U are to decide for yourself whether to go or not to go. Have a nice day Cuteprince |
