The next batch will likely have a lot more people than those in the training school presently from current indications which means a total of between 150-200 will be admitted.
Just brace yourself for the challenge of the three months, it's tasking but exciting.

Just be patient...it's all a matter of time and you'd forget all the anxious wait.
There's a good chance that TS will still be held for up to two more batches. How quickly the next batch might begin after the current batch though is what none of us here can say for now.

Just get productively engaged as much as you can, invest in yourself "plentifully".

To your question, the answer is yes and no.
FBNQUEST merchant bank is a subsidiary of FBN holdings but different from First Bank Nigeria Ltd. (which is itself also an offshoot of FBN holdings)

I will not be able to help you with the direction to the venue but with regards to the time, I'll advice you to be punctual. They start on time from my experience. The AC is likely to last anywhere between 3-6hours depending on how many people are taking part in it. If there will be up to 30 people as was the case in the earlier ones, then the duration will probably be closer to six hours. When I did mine, it lasted for five hours plus.

I will advise that you check previous pages on this thread, you can start from page 80 forward. You'll get almost everything you need to know (if not all) from the comments that have already been made. I wish you success.

We can only do that through the polls. But there is an ominous activity going on right now under the full view of INEC. Massive registration of northerners, the count is frightening.

Indeed the coming elections have the potential to decide the fate of our country on many different levels.
As for the ominous activity you referred to, do you mean they're registering underage voters or that there's a massive mobilization of eligible voters for the registration?

Considering the political and ideological drama that is currently playing out in the country, it appears many Nigerians are finally waking up to the truth about the deplorable state of leadership and the lack of direction in governance across board.

I only hope we can muster the necessary collective will to start off in a new direction and rescue our country from the precipice of catastrophe.

To the Feb 12th batch, e Ku imura (happy preparation). Apart from the 'physical preparation', you will need the 'mental preparation' too. The TS isn't hard but intennnnnnnnnnsive. You need to be tough and smart. Be a team player. Respect everyone including your colleagues. I assure you that the facilities at the academy are top notched and makes it conducive for learning purpose.

I look forward to seeing you on the 12th. I call you blessed.

If you want real professionalism and interactions between job hopefuls, go to American websites and not here, isn't it the same place here that people find it hard even to state exact salaries on a faceless forum?

Brother its all man for himself and Nigerian's usual "I'm better than you" mindset, its all man for himself here, keep yourself busy and forget them.

I do not agree with the conclusions of these your assertions...while I indeed agree with you that selfishness is intrinsic to the human nature (not just Nigerians and except for those who've learned to grow above it), I think we should give everyone here the benefit of doubt.
The people in TS are on a very tedious schedule that doesn't permit much else but classes and much studies. For the rest of us; TS hopefuls, those awaiting documentation mails and AC hopefuls, commenting or posting here without any tangible information I believe must have become wearisome.

More so, those currently in TS scarcely have any information that will be helpful for those of us still on the waiting list. I know this because someone in TS with whom I'm in contact did not even have the accurate information about the postponement of the date for the second batch of TS.

What we should do, is exercise patience like we all have done up until now, while at the same time making sure to stay productive and open to other opportunities.

I think I quite understand FBN's position on this especially with the accommodation issue. Its very likely that this set needs to pass out before taking in a new batch. The motive is very okay but my issue is the timing, weren't this challenges forecasted or seen early enough? This is about peoples lives we taking about here. This can be demoralizing and devastating. God help us.

I also had some doubts about the initial January 8 resumption, considering that the first batch of trainees would only have gone half way with their training...I was wondering how possible it'd be to run two trainings concurrently with the two batches at different stages of training. The human and other resources that would likely be stretched beyond normal etc.
My take is either they had plans to make it work but had a change of heart or the initial mails were just to calm the frayed nerves following the 'mail glitch' incidence.
All in all that's an extra six weeks for us to wait and more importantly take advantage of.

I can understand you; we've all had to wait with anxious hope at different stages of this recruitment and one thing I've learnt is that one of the most difficult things to do in life is to "wait", just wait, especially when there's that deafening silence accompanying the wait.

However it is often said that patience isn't merely being able to wait but the attitude with which we wait.
To all FBN hopefuls, whatever the stage we are at in the process, patience is still your surest companion.

Rest assured that the time we have already spent waiting is far more than whatever space of time we have to wait...soon enough everything will be clear as day.

My best wishes to all in TS, I'm sure it's been a great experience so far.

I'll suggest you call the contact persons in the mails you received; both the HR contacts and those for First Academy. Their response should give you a good idea about what to do.

Again, you can't work with a visit visa, it is prohibited. Yes, of course it is possible and easier to migrate to those countries you mentioned insofar you have a legal stay here in SK. Peace be!

Really, it is difficult. He can get admission while he is here but can he extend his visa to a student visa while on visit visa? I think it will be difficult or impossible to do that. My Ghanaian friend who is doing a language programme could not secure admission in my school with his language visa simply because his visa will be expiring soon. They asked him to extend his visa before they will give him admission. He has to renew and pay for another language programme so that they can extend his visa.
Coming to the area to stay, I think Seoul, Busan, Gumi etc are good places. Make no mistake, most of the jobs here are factory work which is not easy to do. But there are other jobs but it's not easy to get because of language barrier. The good side is that the factory work pays and you use it for something meaningful if u .save and manage yourself well. I want to use this medium to encourage my pals here. there are jobs, pray hard (tho am not the hard prayer type), but whwnever you pray ask for the GRACE OF GOD, I bet u, u will be called.

The pay is good but you have to be strong bro. The one he is talking about (6pm-7am) pays 80,000 won minimum which is roughly 80 dollars or lesser. So in a mouth you will be earning roughly 1800 dollars or more. This is assuming you worked throughout the month. Mind you, it's not easy to juggle this with your studies but you have to do it because others are doing it. The fillip side of being here is that you will have the opportunity of migrating to another country or remaining here after your studies, which is not a bad idea. Anything you want. Let me sound a note of warning, abroad is not easy and making money here is also difficult, not just Korea, but everywhere in the world. You will face the same challenges, so brace up. If you know what you're doing, you can save up money and use it to migrate to another country after your programme if you wish. I met a naija guy here in my school, he just concluded his masters and the money he was able to save up got him a ticket for a PhD in Germany. He paid the block money by himself. He is now in Germany doing his PhD. So have a plan and know that for you to achieve your plan you have to make sacrifices. I'm not trying to discourage anybody but to tell you how it is here but hey, if the Uzbeks, Sri Lankas and other Asian and African guys can do it, you can also do it bro.

Kindly advice me, I have a sibling who's intending to get into SK using a visiting visa. The intention is for him to eventually secure an admission there and study. Please let me know how possible it is for him to secure an admission while already in SK and all the potential pros and cons of this plan. More so, where in SK would you recommend for someone who intends to combine studying with working

That being said, I had to try to bring us back from our sudden fixation on the flirtatious ...and enjoyment of the obviously admirable (though sometimes mentally exerting ) grandiloquence of our own dear cloud9usher. All the best to those in TS, try to strike a healthy balance.
And for those awaiting AC, you need a good balance of hope, faith and patience too.
For those already slated for January 8, what we need is a balanced preparation; our lives are apparently about to change in many different ways.

After the training school, you're most likely to be given a provisional employment offer, pending your confirmation as a full staff, and you'll be posted to a unit/branch according to the needs and openings in the bank. You're to the best of my knowledge, guaranteed a place in FBN after successfully completing the TS except you're found to have defaulted one way or another (e. g. falsification of age or documents)

As for the time it'll take to become a full staff, if by that you mean a confirmed staff, I hear it's usually after six months of working with FBN. If on the other hand you mean how soon one is likely to resume work after TS, I have no authoritative response but I believe it shouldn't be more than a few weeks at the most.

On the issue of the basic pay you should expect. It will be difficult for you to get the right answer to that. Take as a case study, the TS allowance, if you search online or follow some comments made by people on NL, you'll find that most are misleading and different from what is contained in the TS letters that were received recently. I'll simply advice that you relax except where you have to make a decision between two offers or between FBN and your current place of employment (if you're working already). If the latter is the case then I'll advice you seek out more opinions both here and from other people you know out there who can help.
