jahsharon: Why drive them out with speed, I thought Sowore and his supporters will beat up the DSS ni nah. Quit talking like a dim wit young man! Nigeria is descending deeper into the abyss of lawlessness, blatant disregard for human right and the rule of law yet sentimental low-IQued individuals like yourself still choose to banter like kids. Don't worry, by the time the few sane ones who make up the ever dwindling middle class completely leave this country for your likes, the monster you are feeding and celebrating would have grown huge enough to eat you all. DanXplore: 1. Stop playing victim, the truth is you are a very loose and wayward girl with no class as evident by the class of friends you keep. There is a very high correlation between waywardness and drunkeness. You would not have been "raped" if you stayed away from these.
2. You padded the story. Alot of evidences show that you actually permitted the guy to have sex with you and you enjoyed it but is now playing victim because of a threat to release the video. Reason is that you were careful not to call the sexual act rape, meaning that deep within you you know it was consensual. How you managed to go to the dude's car for the act suggests consensuallity. Why didn't you confront the guy that fvcked earlier?
I really hope he does not destroy your dignity by releasing that tape but you must take responsibility for what ever the case may be. You are one of the reasons most guys these days are determined to marry only virgins. I am sure this padded story that is filled with lies is what you will tell your prospective husband. Plenty sense in one comment! |
Poems For Review › Re: When A Poet Love's by Bamibor: 1:45pm On Nov 15, 2019 |
poetictwenty: When a poet Love's Let me paint you with words And hang the portrait on the cranny of the world. Let me dissolve your beauty into lines So the world could know you're mine. Let me poem the words from my heart, Because, my heart calls and for you it beats. I will make words rain till it floods a million books, Thousand eyes will see beyond your good looks. Your name will be housed in libraries around the world. Because you're stuck in my heart like a sword. I will make pens dance for your sake I will be beside you when you wake, And Cuddle you to sleep with lullabies. Because when a poet loves: the ink suffers. Nicely written. Some of the lines were really catchy. Well done! |
Poems For Review › The Writer's Burden by Bamibor(op): 10:58am On Nov 15, 2019*. Modified: 3:15pm On May 25, 2020 |
The writer's burden
To paint the mangle
And live all the weariness
To wear the pain and loss
Share the joy and happiness
Uneasy concoction for the soul
Like the earth under every weight
So too the writer must bear his fate
Words, like tides beating against the mind
Solitude, crowd, none has an antidote
The cure is itself the ailment
To tell the tales even when it hurts
To be the eyes and ears for all
And not be in the picture at all
The burden, the freedom
The battle with folly and wisdom
The writer, his words, his heart.
Like a sword sharpened for art
The writer's burden with words
Only the heart and the ink knows
P.S. I have been away from this section for awhile I hope I can participate more and drink in beautiful writings as used to be in times of yore. |

I need it You might have to close the account to get the balance...that is if you have not grossed up unpaid SMS alert charges that will wipe it away. Alternatively, and depending on your bank, you can recharge your line with N50 out of it. |

smasher1: Well, I am not aware because the situation I see especially in this big banks is scary. The only permanent staff they seem to employ now is OND holders with low pay. The big banks you referenced actually do employ permanent staff on a yearly basis; entry level. That's not to say contract staffing is in decline though. For most banks, contract staffing is a cost cutting strategy as operating expenses (most of which are salaries and administrative expenses) take up a huge chunk of the total cost base. I think the push should be for more banks to embrace the culture of converting as many of the contract staff as possible to core, over time. Some banks I know already do so. |

Buckubuck: Those countries you mentioned have institutions that work and a bureaucracy that is productive. Besides that, they have privatized their energy sector which means the energy department is simply focused on policy. That is unlike Nigeria where the Minister of Power still sits down to discuss technical issue and TCN is still government run. Well said |

Incumbent in the UK studied Economics predecessor studied History
Incumbent in Japan studied political Sience
Incumbent in Russia studied Economics
So please tell us what you think our own Minster should have studied and why
Incumbent in US studied Animal Science In Italy incumbent studied Law
What is your premise and where is the evidence Unku, all of those countries you highlighted have not been hovering between 2000-4000mw of electricity generation over the past 3 decades. They already have a power sector that is robust and thriving and whoever is appointed minister is simply there as a "manager" to kepp things running smoothly. Nigeria is far from the point where we can leave our power sector to people who are not knowledgeable about the technicalities involved with power infrastructure and electricity generation. This is more so, considering the corrupt tendencies that are rife within the Nigerian polity which places the country at the risk of political and contract saboteurs all in the name of executing contracts. We need the right person with the requisite expertise and will power to take the "power sector" horn by the bull and get this country working. Power is foundational to any developmental efforts until we get that right we will only be building castles in the air. |

Many think the problem of this country is bad leaders but nay, it is more of dumb citizens. Citizens who encourage mediocrity and praise the tyrants at the top. Our bad leaders always find solace in moronic masses, after looting and doing different bads, many of the masses still praise them and lick their feet. Many are cursed with suffering in this country, even when many don't have work and find it hard to put food on the table, they still feel fulfilled licking the feet of their tormentors. Best thing is for a reasonable person to leave this country, except there is special intervention, this country will never be better, it will rather get worse. Spot on. |

I love CR7 more than Messi in many things but in football I give it to Messi. CR7 himself would have left Madrid to a bottom place club in serie A so as for him to help them make the top four but he went to Juventus an already made team that would win the league with or without him. Succinct, objective and veracious comments. You couldn't have said it better. |

jomoh: Honestly I’m sympathetic to their struggle just that the timing and the prime target(FG) is suspicious, especially when it is obvious the prime target has taken a step to show its commitment. What have they done to state governor who had refused? What did they do to state governors that are owing salaries.
Governance is not only about the FG alone. That is the problem we have in this country. We forget the state governments exists and we refuse to understand they closer to us than the FG thereby directly responsible for our sufferings. We give those fools the freedom to loot state funds dry while we concentrate too much on the FG. Unku, I have followed your comments on this thread and it is fitting to say most of them reek of partisanship...as for the issue raised in the second paragraph, I think you should be asking why the FG is not canvassing for true federalism which will decentralize the enormous amount of power concentrated at the FG level. After that, we can all justifiably and without recourse to the FG, hold state governments responsible for everything happening within their purview. Anyway, regardless of the obvious partisan sentiments you bear, I have to say you sound quite intellectual in your arguments. Cheers. |

Programming › Re: NIIT Or Aptech by Bamibor: 8:08am On Nov 04, 2018 |
bassdow: TLDR :
If you're after the Certification - Either of them is Great and Recognized. If you're after acquiring better Knowledge - can't say much about ApTech BUT NIIT isn't what it used to be back in the days.
BUT you would be in a much better shape Downloading Video or Non-Video Tutorials and Learning yourself. Then making sure you position yourself in such a way you are constantly making use of the Knowledge as that's the only way to get better. Reading the best Tutorial wouldn't make you the best - Constant practice would.
If am allowed to advice you, I would say the following
1. Don't be deceived by the Big Names, Recognitions (most are living on previous GLORY) and sweet marketings and word of mouths from either of them. 2. Going into anything (most especially Science related) requires you (a) have the PASSION for it. (b) develop a PASSION for it. (c) aren't going into that field solely for the Wealth OR Name you believe you have seen others get out of it. (d) have a very strong WHY (reason) for choosing such field. This is because Nothing is Hard or Easy. Everything has it's UPs and DOWNs. When the chips are down and disappointments sets in, it's either or all of 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, etc that would Keep You Matching FORWARD.
Everyone successful in one thing or the other would tell you of a (or numerous) Time(s) they almost gave up to start something different BUT something kept them going.
Also
When people come to Us asking to be Trained, I give them a very simple advice
Go download Tutorials, Read and Practice constantly. When you are getting better to some extent, I would give you an opportunity of having a Real World Practical Experience if available.
In Web design and Development (whether you choose going for both or just one), consistency is key. A programmer who stays out of writing codes for just a week week wouldn't be doing him/her self much good. A white Man once told me this - When you don't code for a Day, it's like you haven't coded for a Year. You would easily forget certain things and might not even up to date with latest techniques .
Some people would Learn programming, then branch off into hustling something not related to it. They only know they once attended the Lessons BUT believe you me, they hardly remembers the little Theory let alone any practical aspect of it. Having such a person as a Client can be a real Pain in the $ss as they would be too forward trying to let you know they very much know what they want and you are doing, are just too busy hence their reason for outsourcing the project out to you.
If you're Introverted, getting into Web Design and/or Web Development would be easier as there would be almost no source of Distractions . Also Introverts (Real Introverts Oooo not those who aren't opportuned to misbehave or had a very strict upbring) process informations differently.
NB: Am part of a large pool of developers, am Self-Taught, have worked among highly paid developers, I know a lot of CMS and Frameworks and Raw Languages AND I didn't attend any of these fancy Schools. Have been in the midst of a Supervisor who didn't know much, he has several certifications among which is one from NIIT Hello, I'd like to have a conversation with you. Kindly reply my message on your email. Thanks |

NDakota: FFK and his crack-induced madness. What ever happened to decorum, decency and restraint in present-day Nigeria?
Mrs. Precious Chikwendu Fani-Kayode?
This is certainly the height of delusion. FFK, a pretend Christian and serial divorcee, calls Ms Precious the bone of his bone and the flesh of his flesh, and many are here cheering him on. Shouldn't there be a fine line between a partner in the baby making business and a legally married woman? Shouldn't we condemn this as bad example to the younger generation?
Well, what do I know? If our leaders are cohabiting and having baby mamas, what will the led do? If gold rusts what will iron do?
What do I know? Am I in the business of making caps for the big-headed man? We deserve what we get.
*Spits* I haven't commented on any post on nairaland for a long time but I could not resist the impulse to respond to the fluidity and panache with which you wrote. I hope you do creative writing? You are apparently a very capable wordsmith. By the way, the arguement in your comment is a very valid one. Cheers! |
