Having looked at the latest political development in my state,( Anambra State) and how about hundred contestant are running to occupy Awka government house by march 2010, I thought it was a wise decision to open this thread and comment on the upcoming gubanitorial election in Anambra state,

First and for most, i would like to let my readers know that i have a blood uncle in the race, who, if he wins could give me a big oppurtunity to become a multi billionaire,
But i have come to realise that there is an urgent need for a collective progress in Anambra State, the type of progress that is beyond self intrest and personal coffers filling,

On this thread, i will be following up the election developments, from the primaries to the main election, and i will do as much as possible not to use this medium to promote one candidate against the other or one party against the other, and i will finaly say who is the best man for the job and lend my endorsement to the candidate, such endorsement will come after i have thouroughly examined the different candidates and what they might offer to our state,

Also on this thread, i will tell the world what Anambra state represent in Igbo land and the consequences that will follow if some certain mistakes are made politicaly, and i will equaly examine some advantage it will give to igboland if some certain things are done right,

Finaly, No doubt, as the election is coming up and events are unfolding, many contestants will be planing all they can in other to win wether by hook or crook, my important duty here will be to do my best to expose any form of manipulation any candidate may employ in other to decieve my people and win, and i will equally lend some good campaign strategies that could be used to counter it,

There would have been no Loan crisis or the resulting liquidity crisis in the banking industry if Lamido Sanusi did his job as an economist and not as a judge. Look at todays Thisday interview with Soludo, he stated he knew of the state of the banks and was the one that started an audit process. But where am sure he differs with Sanusi is in the solution, am sure he will not endorse a media charade that resulted in everyone abandorning wealth creation and ask for their money back, thus the Liquidity crisis.

While the banks CEOs made poor risk management decision, the liquidity crisis is a creation of Sanusi's management skills. Even indigenous oil firms are cutting down their budgets and freezing projects.

What is the difference? If the bank loans where not performing but where being used for purposes that were creating job in the economy, then it is the job of government to provide the frame work to make them work? that is the line Soludo would  have toed. Calling every venture thats did not repay its loan a failure and forcefully asking for money back without even the opportunity of renegotiating the loans is simply taking us back to the era of Keke Napepe as job creation.  If more than 50% percent of the loans given out in a country failed in their ventures, then the business environment is to severe and poor, there is even no need to call foreign investors because you just told them that doing business in your country is not profitable and they are not stupid.  

Please do not blame Soludo for Sanusi's solutions and its the entreprenures and job seekers who will suffer the consequences!

The truth is that the Yorubas are very much aware of Soludo's capabilities and intellectual ability, they know he wouldn't let himself down, if he ever climbs that throne, he is going to change eastern political trend and fate, that is what is making them uncomfortable,

Check for instance the number of Igbos that will close their biusiness in lagos and Ibadan and come home and re-establish it in anambra beacuse Soludo have provided a better business environment for them.

It is not a mood thing really. I just prefer to debate the issue than thumping an individuals right to have an opinion. Generally, when it comes to politicians, and most every human, including self, I focus on the facts as I don't like to let my personal opinions cloud my judgement.

Soludo is not a hero in my book, neither do I claim the current man to be one. As much as I admit he probably did somethings right, in the same breath, I will admit he did some things wrong. So, I prefer to focus on the facts, rather than rush off praising a man whom I have little knowledge of, especially with the way things go in Nigeria. If we had freedom of information in that country, then we can all educate ourselves of what really went on rather than concluding for one side or the other at this point, knowing we do not have the full story.

As for him going for governor, I am not for it. Why? Because I see him pushing the trend we have seen over and over in that country. If we could boast of free and fair elections, then I would not be bothered at all, but since we don't, I wonder if he will also join others who have paid their way to the sit in the past or not.

The simple truth you can't get into your dumb head is that you are completely powerless to stop Soludo from winning, I know what your real problem is , it is that stupid tribalism and selfish mind that was passed down to you by your miserable ancestors that is distubing you, if Soludo is from your tribe , you will probably be praising him as a proven technocrat if not the best ever.

On a more serious note the bible does not describe money as the root of all evil but rather "the love of money" love being the key word. I would reproduce the passage below for clearer understanding:
1 Timothy 6:10:
10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

The above passage was specifically addressed to christian preachers who see the gospel as a means of making money, many of them abound today especially in out pentecostal fold.

It is still the same thing, can the church be pursueing money if they dont love it ?

soludo once proposed cuurency redenomination that would have restored that 70's value , but northerners who felt their self intrest was  at stake stoped it , and refused to give him second tenure and replaced him with amoral Playing sanusi who is currently pursueing the northern aganda for them,

Soludo removed the unneccesary arabic text on our currency notes, today sanusi is reprinting it, just wait and see the new note,

What you dont know is that northerners are not prepared to be in Nigeria, they know that Nigeria will defintely not work, their agenda is to dominate and exploit the country as much as they can before leaving it,

@onlythetruth and bigjoe, U guyz are very correct abt Ngige's chances,2wks ago or so,I saw his campain trail here in Lagos at Agboju festac side,ngige has a lot of grassroot backing going on for him and like his campaign slogan,he's been tested and is trusted.Another thing he has going for him is the fact that he is in touch with the commonest man in the state,he's hands-on like Bigjo will say unlike Soludo who is seen as an elitist and Obi who comes across as lame-duck and not having a clue.However,Ngige is going to face very strong oppositions from both Soludo and Obi for the following reasons:
1.Obi is incumbent and as a result has state machineries at his disposal and as U ve rightly pointed he is using it to his advantage,who says propagander is no big deal,ask the US.
2.Soludo too has a very good precedence as a performer with very practicable lofty ideas most of which ve yielded very good results.He may be seen as elitist but we can't honestly say he's not porpular even at the grassroot.Then again we have to talk abt his platform,the PDP,knowing thier modus operandi and their antecedent past at electioneering,any opposition will shiver.Anyway,let the best man with the best wits win am at ease with the three of em but my fav is, u don't want to know!Lol

But lets look at the following incident,

1, If Soludo had Joined AC instead of PDP, do you think AC would have chosen him as their flag bearer over Ngige ? If you think so, why ?

2, If Soludo had joined APGA instead of PDP, do you think APGA would have chosen him as their flag bearer over Obi ? If you think so, why ?

If you answer NO to the questions above ,equally give your reasons for answering no,

3, Finally, do you think the up coming guba election is going to be completely free and fair ?

Is only when you come up with the correct answers to those three questions that you can be able to know the two persons that the contest will settle on and the eventual winer between the two.
